back in june/july 2021 i stumbled upon a very funny playlist titled "game chimps"

i thought the videos inside said playlist were hilarious and aweosm and so i decided to save some of the videos in game chimps to my personal funny video playlist .

its december 2023 and i remember the playlist and now want to revisit that playlist to see the new videos that have been added since i last checked it, but oh noes!! i lost the damn link to it, no problem right? jus find the original creator of it right????????

so i go on to the original channel that created the playlist, wayneradiotv, only to find that it is no longer there

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well no big deal the internet archive prolly got my back , right?

so i go on to archive.org to see if theres any archive of waynes channel during the time the playlist was public and i am met with this:

one archive, one hope at finding an archive of this holy playlist

and so i click , hoping for the best .......

damn it

the singular archive of his channel during this time is just too late somehow ????

so i think "hey i wonder if i can see when i added those videos from that playlist into mine, maybe i could find something if i narrow things down"

so i end up going onto youtube's playlist API to try and see if i could get the answers i needed

success

alright now lets see if theres anything that could point me in the right direction

nothing

not a singular result that could even allude to this playlist even existing

so i desperately go onto waynes twitter if theres maybe any mention of any sort of playlist at all

this is it, the very small amount of evidence aside from the videos that i had personally saved that hints this playlist at one point existed and i dont even know if this its mentioning the same playlist in question

there is basically nothing else for me to do at this point

theres no way for me to privately reach out to wayne regarding the playlist as his asks and pms are closed, and i dont want to go out harassing his friends that do have open asks/pms about some fucken playlist

i had considered asking in his chat about it during his next stream, but considering that people are currently anticipating hlvrai2, that would be near impossible as the chat would very likely be going too fast for anything to be readable

i am geninely distraught that this fuckign funny video playlist is now lost forever

if you have any sort of archive of this playlist, could be an html file or maybe a txt file of links to the videos that were included in the playlist , please reach out , those videos are simply too godly for me to lose forever

I know that a lot of people have been asking how they can help-- and we've been saying that just being a fan helps tremendously (which is very very true!!)-- but it also always helps when the team gets suggestions on future or present projects! If there are areas of the current script, future productions, future or current publicity, etc. that you see a need for progress/improvement in, please let us know!! If there is a demand for progress on a present endeavor, such as setting up another cast member interview, research or a more organized lost media effort for a piece of media, detailed posts or explanations of certain aspects of the show, more publicity for RARE or suggestions for our websites, tumblr, or the discord, literally anything else, we will do our best to make it happen!!!

I'd also like to focus more on finding the CBS Storybreak episode ("Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees"), which is the only book-accurate Raggedy Ann animated adaptation, and is currently lost media. Some things that could be helpful in terms of that project would be finding as many credits for the special as possible. If we can find the writers, producers, copyright owners/etc., we can figure out where to look. So, if anyone is looking for something to do to feel more involved, I think that would be a good place to start!! Thank you for everyone interested in helping us make progress!!

Help me find old tutorials from the Warriors wiki

A while back the Warrior Cats wiki had a bunch of art tutorials showing people how to color their bases. From those tutorials I learned the basics of digital coloring and how shading works.

Several years ago however the wiki decided to delete a bunch of the tutorials and bury the rest in archived discussion pages. This was rather annoying to me as those tutorials were a big part of my early art. Also people spent time making those tutorials only to have them hidden or deleted by some wiki admin.

So I am attempting to find most of these tutorials and reupload them (with credit) to my blog so they won’t disappear forever.

I have found most of them still on the wiki and on the Wayback machine but I still don’t have all of them. There was one I really liked called texturetut.png that has seemingly vanished. It was about fur texture and used the rouge blank if I remember right.

So please if you have one or the link to one I haven’t already posted, please send me an ask or something with the image or link. I would prefer an image to a link. Also if you know who the artist is please include their name in the ask.

RARE needs your help!

For years we’ve been looking at the Kennedy Center archives for materials and possibly footage from Raggedy Ann. Unfortunately it wasn’t until recently that they were organized enough to give us an idea of what they might have. This week one of our members, Drew, visited the archives in person and was shown press materials and photos that we haven’t seen before. He also heard of the existence of some VHS tapes from the production.

These materials have been barely touched and not considered for digitization, as the archive prioritizes based on what they think will be the most useful and popular. With only a couple requests for these materials, they don’t find them worth the effort

and are even considering throwing them away.

This is where YOU can help!

The Kennedy Center archives has a very simple request form; most of the options are drop down menus. It will ask you to make an account first, but they are free, easy to create, and won’t send spam to your email.

We have already recovered what little of their collection that has already been digitized, so each request is unlikely to see new materials. However, through sheer numbers, we can convince them that more preservation is worth the effort. From there, our members will handle gaining access and sharing anything that is saved. The form only takes five minutes, and we’d really appreciate the time and effort! We’ve even made a step-by-step guide (below the break)! Link to the request form here

Hey there! I already said this in a reblog of your post about “And Now This” but on thinking about it more. and remembered things more clearly so I have decided to resend it to you directly in an ask.

I actually have a bit of information on this series because some parts are burned into my brain. I believe I have seen the original pilot and I remember a few parts of it.

I distinctly remember that the blue man group featured in one segment. it was the first time I had ever heard of them. They played a beat on a series of plastic pipes.

There was also a skit that ultimately resulted in someone saying the word selfish, and they were turned into a shellfish, and the person with them proclaimed something along the lines of “they said selfish, not shellfish!I” At the end there was a big dance party, you could see the person dancing with their shellfish friend.

There was also a skit involving Ratzo being on a date with a very beautiful woman. The date was going poorly at first until it was revealed that the woman was a very sloppy eater, and Ratzo was super into it. they proceeded to eat the meals by shoving it into their mouth with their hands.

And while I don’t remember it fully I do recognize the family watching TV as is shown in the demo reel.

Hey, I'm glad to hear anything about And Now This. I've tried getting in contact with people like blameitonjorge or Whang! about finding that first episode, and LSuperSonicQ was the only guy who messaged me back, though I didn't get much follow up. This was the same episode my longtime friend @nevvyland remembered.

If we can find somebody who has a complete recording of that first show, then this will finally be complete and we can put the search to rest. It's been eight years.

I just wanna see that first episode since the second one is the one I remember seeing as a kid and that one's been preserved in full on the Internet Archive. Thank you for keeping the spirit of the search alive.

Who is Yang Guang？

楊光是誰？

The only picture I can find of him is this one (pictured above), when you search his name he doesn't have a page on Baidu or Wikipedia, although he is mentioned in this article. On Baidu and Wikipedia there are pages of people named 杨光 but none of them seem to be him.

He seems to have been a singer in the 1950s judging by the way I found him was through his duet with Tsin Ting (靜婷) in the song 搖船曲 (Rocking Boat Song) (Youtube).

Other than this, from my google searching I can't find much of anything about him. He is most likely Taiwanese or Chinese, unknown age or if he is still alive, or if he has any solo music. I also don't know if he goes by an English name.

Well amy (pacthesis herself) took down her website (for her own mental health, very cash money of her) but unfortunately she didnt leave any way to accsess her games if anyone has the files saved i would love to play my first dating sims again

I haven’t done too much digging yet so I don’t want to go right out and call it lost media but damn I cannot find the It’s Archie! 2015 pilot anywhere anymore! I havent done super extensive digging and I know it was online at some point back when I was on college (2018 i want to say? I found and watched the whole short pilot / demo / whatever video and it was hosted on some sort of website that seemed to be from an animation company i think? If I search through my old computers and twitter accounts i can defintely find some of the material and if i can access the bookmark on my old laptop ill probably be able to access the full thing again (it wasnt long like 5-10 mins max) but im just putting this post out here to see if anyone else has any information on it at all because there really isn’t any at all?

I found out about it after picking up my copies of the death of archie issues of married life with archie and in the back of the book of the one where archie gets shot and killed theres a whole archie timeline writeup thing in the back and they reference an upcoming cartoon called its archie. I’m gonna try to find the few promotional pics i found as well because the art style was… not very good LOL. It was supposed to be Archie and co in middle school (which they already did… and no way could this show have beat The New Archies) and the pilot clip i saw was Archie Reggie and Jughead exploring some scary spooky house in the woods. I remember reaching out to Archie Comics’ Twitter at the time but given the account username I had at the time and that this was a bit before the peak of archie comics twitter being very fan interactive. I remember hearing that it was canceled in favor of Riverdale which does make sense with the timeline given the years. I don’t remember if this was something backed by facts or not. I’m pretty sure none of this is completely 100% lost because I did find some stuff back in 2018 that I may have access to still, I just also wanted to see if anyone else had anything or had even heard of it because I’ve hardly ever heard anyone bring up It’s Archie! I’m pretty sure the reason i had a much easier time finding stuff back then as oppossed to now is that riverdale had been out for a much shorter period of time (probably only a year or so) and now when i look for it i just get stuff about shooting for riverdale. Does not help that “it’s archie” is not a very good keyword considering a ton of articles use that same phrase to describe riverdale- it’s archie but fucked up and twisted etc etc.

okay so I’m like on a lost media search, y’know? it’s something I believe I watched as a kid in a classroom many years ago for a Halloween party

now I might be remembering wrong since it’s been so long, but I swear I remember that the story featured live action people — possibly kids — that were in a mansion, and suddenly the Monster Mash started playing and at one point a mansion door is opened to reveal that classic graveyard dancing skeletons animation, and so they were dancing to the Monster Mash. if it wasn’t that animation specifically, I just know it was dancing skeletons

it doesn’t look to be the movie Monster Mash, and I don’t think it’s the 1987 Disney “Monster Hits” special. but I guess if it were those somehow, maybe I severely misremembered or “mashed” memories together (hehehehe)

So... I’ve managed to get in contact with Sean Johnson and Patrick Johnson, via their shared Swazzle instagram account!! I talked to Sean first, since he was using the account at the time. It turns out neither of them have the episodes, BUT! I got really lucky here because Patrick can remember the episodes quite well! At least, better than anyone else I’ve talked to! So, even though I still haven’t found the eps, I can give a clearer summary of some of them!

in Ring of Fire Stunt, Whoop is on a catapult aimed at a bright red and yellow target, with a hoop in front of it. The target is being secured by a very small dump truck, and the hoop is attached to Francis’ helmet, he’s the one keeping it in place. Stunt Pig launches Whoop through the ring, but Whoop catches fire before he hits the target. (I don’t understand why this one might have been pulled, it sounds... tame? Dan Clark just said Disney thought it was “too dangerous” when I asked him about it not too long ago, and I’m not sure I know what that means in the context of the rest of the show. 

I am still in the process of asking questions about Smoothie Stunt so I can better understand the order of events, but Patrick told me it ends with Brave Little Francis falling into the blender, being COMPLETELY BLENDED, (THEY BLENDED THE ACTUAL PUPPET) and. well. You can see my reaction up there. They drink him apparently!! And according to Patrick there coulda been different parts of him in each of the characters’ cups??? That’s horrifying! I asked Patrick how BLF was supposed to give a thumbs-up at the end of all that, and he said BLF’s thumb popped out of the top of blender. Like I said I really only have knowledge of 1/2 of this episode (from what I can tell anyways) and I’m still trying to find out what the first half was like. If I had to guess, it’s probably Thrill Kat’s blender & he tried to make a normal smoothie & handed cups of it to the others (insert Stunt Pig barf image here) and BLF liked it so much, he licked it straight from the blender and accidentally turned it on somehow?? I’m really not sure, this one is crazy tbh...

in Maui Owie, Whoop walks over a patch of hot coals while carrying 2 batons, which are also on fire. As Patrick explained to me, Whoop wears a grass skirt as he walks over the coals, and either the coals themselves or the batons he’s carrying ignite the skirt, and he just totally melts from there. As he put it, Whoop’s skin melts off revealing the skeleton underneath. I think this may be the third time I’ve heard someone doubt that this episode aired, so I think it’s safe to say it probably didn’t. Also not really here or there, but he also told me BLF does the hula at some point in the episode, lol. Probably BEFORE Whoop starts melting, if I had to guess. (Francis is terrified of skeletons!)

Stunt Lab 3 is, as I might’ve mentioned before, formulaic since it’s a Stunt Lab episode & they’re all very similar! Whoop is the ‘judge’ for this episode, so it likely starts with him “talking” to the audience (in gibberish) and then pointing to a bronze medal, a silver medal, and then a gold medal. Then it’d show a shot with all 3 other characters, with props under cloths with their emblems on it (this happens in both the other episodes, just with different characters in different places), which they pull upwards! From what I can tell, Stunt Pig’s prop is a basket of eggs, Thrill Kat’s prop is a can of soup (or maybe 2 if I read the storyboard correctly), and Francis’ prop is a pink birthday cake. Stunt Pig drops the eggs, but obviously the impact isn’t very spectacular & it’s just kind of gross and messy. Whoop gives him a thumbs-down. Thrill Kat is next, and he is hit on the head with the can of soup, which splashes everywhere. Whoop also gives this a thumbs-down. Finally, Francis drops the cake! I don’t think it totally crushes him or injures him badly, but he emerges from it covered in cake residue, which he licks off with his long tongue (according to Patrick Johnson)!! I’m pretty happy to find that out, since for the longest time I was unsure of how I knew BLF had a long tongue if I’d never seen Smoothie Stunt-- it being in Stunt Lab 3 explains it perfectly! Anyways I’m certain Francis won, but I’m not sure who was in second and third place. I will hazard a guess and say that Thrill Kat was in second place and Stunt Pig was in third, even though they’ve both already been in those placements before.

I’ll continue to ask questions moving forward. I haven’t contacted Mark Villalobos yet, but I plan to ask him about the show too. I actually have way more questions to ask Patrick Johnson, not only because he storyboarded for the show, but also because he worked on the pilot! I wonder if he drew any of the images in the show bible..?

I remember reading a webcomic in 2020 about these characters working at an office together, all of it was made out of pictures of legos and other assorted small toys that would create the set and characters. (Characters were lego or playmobil minifigures) I think it was meant to be a parody of the office but in webcomic form; but that might be wrong. It had its own website, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. I read it in 2020 but I think it was created earlier than that, 2015-2018 maybe.

I can only remember a few plot lines, I'll put em in the comments/rbs if this post gets attention. But it was a really creative and funny comic, the way the lady creating it (can't remember her name either) took time to assemble all the legos/small toys by hand was really cool to me.

If anyone remembers this or knows what I'm talking about, lmk

Edit: I think I originally read it through this website called BoredPanda that I really liked reading at the time, it would repost content from other sites (reddit, tumblr, twitter, etc.) I know that this comic had its own domain though, it wasn't only posted there.

This is a long shot but does anyone remember and possibly have stuff archived from vimeo channel/blog Alterniasfinest? I've been thinking about their videos daily for YEARS and I just can't find anything that's in a watchable state... please please please please PLEASE.. tell me if you find a video that is archived and watchable. They may have seemed like funny disposable meme videos to the maker but I want them to be archived SO BAD. They're a big reason why I now play Second Life daily.
