@futureautumnhighlord if Ya killed your dad, why are you still *future*autumhighlord? When is the coronation ceremony? What's postponing it?

severus malfoy’s commissioned portrait at malfoy manor. (bored out of his mind)
—
if sev grew up a malfoy au, which is kind of like a branched-out version of my abraxas and eileen have a PastTM au. idk if he’s a malfoy by blood or by marriage. but imagining lucius as a big brother is just so 😎😎😎😎😎

Having been re-watching Human Nature/The Family of Blood recently, I've been wandering about how your OCs would cope with the rather difficult challenge of living in 1913, in particular, how Shareen and Lulu would deal with it. I get the impression that both Shareen and Lulu are very strong-willed young women, and it's likely that they might end up clashing with some of the arseholes that seemed to populate 1913 Farringham, in particular Joan Redfern and Mr Rocastle. Would Shareen and Lulu find themselves clashing with those characters?
So, with Lulu, she's definitely strong-willed, which is not really a personality trait women were encouraged to have in 1913, so yes, she'll come into conflict with quite a few people, Joan Redfern and Mr. Rocastle among them. I'm actually debating having the TARDIS make Lulu John Smith's wife and people going, "Mr. Smith, will you please get your wife under control?!" Fortunately, John Smith has just enough of the Doctor's sense left to know trying to control Lulu is like trying to make the sun set earlier (both are foolish moves), so he simply says, "I can do my job or I can handle Lucinda. I cannot possibly do both. No one could."
As for Shareen, I'm not entirely sure she's even going to be in 'Human Nature'/'Family of Blood', as that's about the time she'll be busy with her own mini arc over on Torchwood involving her sort-of-deceased cousin, Suzie. But she would definitely be coming into conflict with people too, no worries about that!

Worst experience reading fanfiction just happened to me: rereading a fic you remember being really good when you were 14 only to see it littered with grammar and spelling mistakes and also having a Mary sue issue.

Adult historical romance with magic
Sequel to A Marvellous Light
Follows Maud Blythe, the younger sister of Robin from the first book
When the elderly witch Maud’s supposed to be escorting on a transatlantic trip is murdered for the priceless magical artifact she possessed, Maud finds herself hunting a mysterious murderer while trapped onboard a ship
When Maud joins forces with Violet Debenham, a scandalous aristocrat-turned-actress from a magician family, sparks fly between the two of them despite their precarious situation
Murder mystery with a strong romantic subplot (quite frankly the horniest book I read this year which is impressive given the number of romance novels I’ve read recently)
Advances the overall plot of the trilogy while introducing a lot of new characters
Fun locked-room-mystery vibes of the ship at sea
Lesbian main character, bisexual main character, F/F romance
