6 years ago i made a piece in honour of the conclusion of the Chroma Conclave. I was inexplicably compelled to draw it yet again thanks to The Legend of Vox Machina.  Time flies.  (Also a friend pointed out that you could tell my current cats are utterly chaotic compared to the cat i lived with when i drew the first piece and it’s extremely true)

A few months ago when Nostalgic pets were released on neopets I made the UC Faerie Hissi art for the Art Gallery. It never got accepted but I wasn't happy how I drew the Hissi anyways. I liked how Umbra turned out (despite not being great at drawing humanoid/anthro characters) so I tried resubmitting just the image of them. Now I got my 25th AG win 🤩

No disrespect to yk people who made these types of mods or to people who use them but I feel like mods that make The Rueful Axe better don't really understand why The Rueful Axe is so shit

It's not an oversight on Bethesda's part the axe is intentionally shit

It's weaker than an iron battleaxe and is the slowest swinging weapon in the game and is the worse reward out of A Daedra's Best Friend and is the worst daedric artifact in the game and is also the inferior option compared to the stats of The Masque of Clavicus Vile

Now why is it intentionally shit? Because you got burned on a bad deal

Clavicus knew the axe was shit it's why he had no issues with giving it to you if you killed Barbas it's not like it's a powerful artifact like Umbra

Barbas specifically tells you not to trust Clavicus as well

Also Clavicus' line "No strings attached, no messy surprises! At least not for you..." is a blatant lie and not just for Barbas

The messy surprise in the player's case is killing Barbas and getting the worst daedric artifact in the game

I've seen people say they made a mod making the axe stronger because it looks cool when that's the point

It's supposed to look cool it's supposed to entice you on keeping it and then you realize how shit it is and either end up just storing it in your player home or selling it
