That's it-
I'm making some Cars: Next Gen Highschool AU headcanons cause this one has been in my head for the past few days--
Note: this idea came from a ffic I read on ao3, link here (X).
Jackson Storm
Nobody really knew much about Jackson Storm. All they really knew was that he was a top, straight A student, who didn't exactly have that many friends. It wasn't because he was shy, but he seemed to actively avoid people. He was also cold and sarcastic, often brushing people aside.
Many things were expected of him. Future CEO of his fathers's company, a soon to be engineer with a bachelors degree, the 'perfect son' to his 'perfect family'. Though, his parents would often nag him for not having any friends.
Why would he have friends?
They rejected the kids they deemed weren't good enough, and Jackson did not like the kids of their 'friends' (more like shady business partners though).
He hated living like this. It felt suffocating, and he was sick of it. Though, he'd never in his life admit to it, he was lonely. Very lonely.
Although, how he managed to get himself a position in the school's Astronomy Club Council as the President, he'll never know.
Only child of a rocky marriage
Hates his father, but also yearns for his approval
Spoiled, though he's never satisfied with anything
Epic Gamer
Enjoys Astronomy, and especially likes studying about the stars. Though, he never intended to become President. He was elected by some random kid, and won by a landslide because he was the only one to ace their Astronomy exam.
Became rivals with Tim Treadless after Jackson lost to him in a video game event by just 1 point, and Jackson threw a fit.
Has a beautiful voice, and can play the piano, but would rather die than sing in front of people
Uncomfortable when around people for too long
Also uncomfortable with physical affection
Enjoys watching NASCAR, though he does it in secret as his parents tell him not to bother with a sport like that
Has mastered the art of faking a smile

Tim Treadless
What's not to love about Tim? President of the Drama Club, and yet loved by all. He's fearless- never tolerating any kind of bullying to anyone, by anyone. Restless- day in and day out, always working to strive for the best. And selfless- always putting others before himself, making sure that everyone knows they can count on him whenever in need.
Which is why it's not surprising (or it is surprising to others) why Jackson and Tim really don't get along well.
With all this pressure upon his shoulders, it should be of no surprise that Tim can be prone to emotions. Easy to make him laugh, easy to irritate, easy to startle him.
Not wanting to burden anyone with his own problems, he turned to the stage. From there, he felt free. Free to express himself in the most poetic of ways. Free to cry and sob his heart out, then blame it on how he wants his acting to look 'realistic' or full of life.
Despite the many times he would feel burnt out, Tim couldn't bring himself to ask for help.
After all, he was supposed to help others. He doesn't have time to help himself.
Grew up in the middle class. He's seen all the times when his mother would struggle to provide, and he's determined to help and give her a better life
Only child, though he does have a good relationship with his mother
Theater Kid. Started off reading Shakespeare for the lols, ended up falling in love with stageplay and poetry
Enjoys gaming
Is prone to emotional outbursts, but he wouldn't immediately blow up at you
The gifted child who may or may not be burnt out
Also in some way lonely, but it's more like struggling to open up and be honest to others about how he's really feeling (the irony)
People expected the rivalry between Jackson and Tim to be juicy, only to be disappointed when the two just proceeded to ignore each other most of the time (with the occasional glare, but that's kinda it).
The school won a trophy for a playwriting and acting event. Tim made sure everything went as smoothly as possible.
