PostwickShip Fic Ideas

So I beat the main game of Pokémon Sword this past weekend, and I have been COMPLETELY obsessed with this adorable ship — to the point where I have been writing down all these ideas for a fic for it, and I just really needed to put the words to paper (or google doc, I guess) and share them! @kuumamochi - here ya go!

So quick note, I changed their ages so she, Hop, Bede, and Marnie are all around 16 instead of 10-12, and I actually made an OC for this to use instead of the base Gloria/Yuuri, so first some little details about her!

OC: Elizabeth

Called: Lizzie

Age: 16 (birthday - Spring)

Hair: long, caramel blonde; usually tied back into to twin braids with side-swept bangs

Eyes: large, round, icy blue eyes (get darker closer to the center)

Height: 4′11″

Weight: 115 lbs

Starter: Sobble (nicknamed “Darcy”, like from Pride and Prejudice)

Likes: strawberries, hydrangeas, warm blankets, and a good book

Dislikes: meat (she’s vegetarian), scary stories, snow, and sports

Favorite Pokemon Types: Fairy and Grass

Typical Outfit/Style: knit beret, striped shirt, short skirt, hoodie, thigh-high socks, and ankle boots

Personality: shy, a bit oversensitive as a child, easily upset by harsh words or by bullies, slowly grows out of it and comes out of her shell as she grows up with Hop; always felt like a “damsel in distress” when Hop would stand up to bullies for her, and wants to be the one to stand up for him for once; always thinks before opening her mouth, sometimes for too long and misses her chance to speak in a conversation

energetic, but soft-spoken; worked as a journalist in Hammerlocke for years before meeting Lizzie’s father, and moving to Postwick to become a mother and an online journalist

Cousins: Marnie and Piers

Their mother is Lizzie’s mom’s younger sister

She was also the Dark-Type gym leader for several years until Piers took over

History with Hop:

Grew up with Hop for as long as either can remember

It was always the two of them against the world

Hop protected her from bullies

Lizzie patched him up when things got “too real”

Always figured they’d be together forever, no matter what

Leon gave Hop his first Pokemon (Wooloo) right before he left on his Pokemon journey

Lizzie was a little jealous and wanted one too

Leon said he could catch her one, but then Hop one-upped him and said he’d find her a shiny Wooloo instead

Lizzie agreed to let Hop find one, and hasn’t tried to catch one until he finds her a shiny Wooloo

It’s been six years since this, and he’s still looking

Lizzie realized she had a crush on Hop when he came over to cheer her up after being stood up for a date at age 13

They watched Pokemon league matches while eating ice cream until they finally passed out on the floor at about 3am

Hop turned 16 first, and should have been the first to go on his Pokemon journey, but insisted on staying another six months until Lizzie’s birthday so that they could go on their journey together

Hop realizes he might have a crush on her right before they start their journey, when they both reach for the Wishing Stones

He sees her eyes light up in the stones’ glow, and gets the “oh no, emotions” feeling in his gut

Their Journey Begins:

Lizzie gets her Sobble because it reminds her of her childhood self

She wants to be for Sobble what Hop was for her

She names him Darcy, after the character in her favorite book

Hop is only a little jealous she named her first Pokemon after the love interest to the character that shares her name (No, Liz, I didn’t read it, you just talk about it all the time and I can’t escape it!)

In the Slumbering Weald, they get separated in the fog, and have to try and find each other as well as the lost Wooloo

They don’t see the sword or shield Pokemon until they find each other again, holding hands to not get lost again

They’re still holding hands when they wake up after passing out in the fog

Lizzie’s second Pokemon and Hop’s third Pokemon are a pair of Rookidee, who they help out and that choose to stay with them

The two bird Pokemon bicker like an old married couple half the time they’re together, but cuddle and coo at each other and hate to be apart for too long

Hop, oblivious: “Look, they’re just like us! Best friends who can’t be kept apart!”

Lizzie: *facepalm*

They travel together all the way to Motosoke, camping together in the Wild Area

Lizzie teaches Hop how to cook, so as not to starve or poison any of his Pokemon or himself

His Pokemon are forever grateful

After opening ceremonies, they take on different gyms

Lizzie starts with Milo’s, while Hop takes on Nessa’s first, then they switch and meet back up in Motosoke for Kabu’s badge challenge

This starts as the longest either of them have ever been apart, and they’re both nervous while putting on a brave front

Just about every battle they’ve ever had has either ended in a draw, or been cut off by something

They don’t find out who is the “stronger trainer” of the two until the Semi-Finals

Why I like them: she’d deck me and i’d thank her KSDSLK in all seriousness, i love that she always gets back up on her feet?? Her planet was destroyed and killed her parents, welp gonna go and search for the reason, finds a planet in trouble, goes down to help, after getting untrapped in a crystal for who knows how long becomes part of a mercenary squadron only to deal with an invasion of body-taking over aliens a year later and then a year after that be kicked out of the only thing she’s ever done and known in the lylat system and goes to the only other team she knows??? even when she’s crying she’s still continuously trying and i adore her

Why I don’t: this isn’t rlly anything to do with her, more with… what’s been done with her, especially adventures… pls let her be protagonist of her own game like she was supposed to be

Favorite episode (scene if movie): kursed ending……………….sorry

Favorite season/movie: star fox assault

Favorite line: “they’re quite dedicated for a bunch of hired guns” says the space fox lady on a team that is a bunch of hired guns NJKCDSNFKJ but also i love the way towards the end of assault she says “pantherrrr :)” and she does that little laugh...

Favorite outfit: as much as i give her assault outfit poo for having the tiddy window… that one….

OTP: frystal, krysther, krystatt, wolfkrystal

Head Canon: i hc that krystal, she’s an empath, but damn she has a bad habit of holding in her own emotions, like, she constantly focuses on the feelings of others and while she’ll say what she’s thinking, she’s still used to having to deal with things on her own during sf assault so she just, doesn’t quite tell her new family everything and how much of a weight is on her shoulders and that’s been there since her planet was destroyed, but after the events of the aparoid invasion she finally breaks down and the boys are there, and this, unintentionally, plants the thought in the back of fox’s mind that krystal needs to be safe, when she can take care of herself, she just needs someone to listen and help her sometimes, like anyone else.

Unpopular opinion: i’m not sure what is and isn’t popular with her, but i think she fits into the series, having an empath/telepath in a series where you can go into a portal/warp into a giant rainbow tunnel as an anthro space fox that gets to shoot things…. tbh go for it like?? yes.

A wish: pls let her be the protag if there’s a remake of adventures, like, side by side with fox, AND pls do not have krystal be 19 and fox be 26 and have him look up her skirt with a sexy saxophone playing PLS DO NOT-

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: anything i say here will have already happened bc the internet gonna internet LOL

falco lombardi:

Why I like them: this boi has reached his way to being in my top 3 faves, he’s licherally almost tied with wolf for me and that’s aksjdaskjfdb saying a lot. he’s hilarious, he’s an ass, he’s definitely “show don’t tell” when it comes to caring for his friends, he’s itching for a fight and can’t sit still, he’ll absolutely drop everything for his friends in the end of it all, and he’s one of the most quotable of the characters, he’s also one of the easiest to draw for me now after being literally the hardest for me to draw and i’d say that… ties into my feelings for him, tho i’ve always loved him i never hated him

Why I don’t: i licherally can not think of a thing i don’t like abt him

Favorite episode (scene if movie): licherally every time he’s on screen during the battle begins and makes a face akjfndkf

Favorite season/movie: starlink bc that’s the boi i was introduced with…..

Favorite line: “you’re leaving? claw my heart out why don’t you?” asjfneif i love the way he says that line in zero…. so much

Favorite outfit: all of them. fashion king.

Head Canon: boi falls in love easily and refuses to admit it… and he falls HARD. but he doesn’t pursue romantic relationships bc he expects the ones he already has that aren’t romantic to end at any given time due to any possible reason.

Unpopular opinion: hm… again i'm not sure what's popular and unpopular, mostly bc i only know the opinions my friends share and those are usually opinions full of love for the birb. but ig??? i like mark lund's voice in starlink for him more than mike madeoy's voice for him in assault, but his assault voice is still rlly good!! i only like mark lund's voice more bc… that's the one i was rlly introduced with

Why I like them: got her character type is just one i adore in general, that classiness, that air of confidence and demanding respect whilst also having the absolute time of her life with whatever she’s doing, she kicks ass, she’s not above asking for help when needed, she can take care of herself, and i’m a disaster bisexual………..

Why I don’t: licherally just the physical appearance of her command design and it’s not even bc i think she looks ugly, pink katt is just too iconique...

Favorite episode (scene if movie): licherally every time she flirts with fox aksdnekfewkfa

Favorite season/movie: star fox zero

Favorite line: “ladies first! don’t fall behind!” god i can SEE HER WINKING GOD

Favorite outfit: licherally nintendo pls give me a full render of her in her outfit from zero i’m begging u bc i love that jacket more than her whole outfit in farewell beloved falco even tho that one is rlly good too

Head Canon: when her and falco were in school, they were in choir together, even tho they don’t see each other as often and when they do falco’s still got his facade up, when it’s rlly just the two of them sometimes they’ll hug and quietly sing together, they’ll harmonize and everything, and it’s intimate for both of them (not necessarily romantically intimate)

Unpopular opinion: i?? don’t entirely hate her command design but that goes with me loving command more and more each day askdfjnaefnewgnlrs

Why I don’t: nintendo give me MORE. MORE OF HER.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): the lucy and krystal ending is rlly cute, also lucy being playable and her theme is amazing kasdjk

Favorite season/movie: she’s only in command...

Favorite line: “mama was looking out for me, i’m sure of it” (ow….)

Favorite outfit: again, only in command, but tbh anything she wears in saff’s art dfjnaefnf

Head Canon: this ties into saff’s lucy, like, everything, but she’s got a lot of pent up anger because of peppy being overprotective and her mother being ill and dying and peppy being usually out with the star fox team… also she teaches a variety of ages, the youngest she teaches are like, 13/14 and the oldest are in their 20’s

Unpopular opinion: my only opinion is that we need MORE.

Greetings! So who the hell am I, anyway? I tend to use three words as of late: writer, artist and supervillain. Yes, I'm on the Dark Side, baby. It all started way back when I was watching Transformers: Beast Wars, when I suddenly realized that my heart lies with Megatron and team evil. I cried when Darth Vader died. My favorite scene in The Lords of the Rings is this awesome battle where Sauron shows everyone who's the boss. "But the power of the Ring could not be undone". Boom-shakalaka! Get'em Sauron! Get'em! You get the picture.

That's probably not very Dale Carnegie of me. I mean, I gotta make a good first impression here, right? Plants. I like growing plants. Leon style. How's that? Still weird? I would include a photo of myself with a dog if I could, but I'm allergic to pretty much all mammals, so... Green thingies. I care about them. See? I'm all right. Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now. Thank you. How are you?

For your information, when I talk to people I tend to have about 3 separate lines of thought and I switch between them back and forth, and if I have enough room to talk, I can go on for long time about some little detail just so I can better highlight the major topic of a conversation. Actually, I saw a description of something pretty similar on wikipedia, somewhere in "mental disorders" section. But I prefer to think about it more as a writing quirk. Sooooooo... remember Sauron? Let's continue from here. Fantasy and sci-fi. I love them! Video games are in my blood since 1997 (my first ever game - Imperium Galactica, 4x space strategy, awesome stuff). I was a modmaker during Warcraft III era, went on to win a map-making contest hosted by a local game developer, and first set my foot inside a "gamedev" office and left my signatures on contracts when I was 14. But the dream life of a leathercoat-wearing teenage mutant ninja developer didn't happen for me. It was only a decade later when I actually got a real job in gamedev. That was... a disappointment. Managers give you shit, managers of these managers give you shit, "deadline" is everyone's favorite topic of conversation, crunches suck the soul out of you, and... woah, that's got too depressive too quickly. But don't worry. I know a magic word for such occasions: "Anyway"... Imaginary worlds. I was always fascinated with them. Dune. Legacy of Kain. Vampire: the Masquerade. Thief. Trinity Blood. Planescape. Dark Sun. Warhammer 40k. I dreamed that when I grow up, I will create stuff like that. The idea was that it will probably happen inside some gamedev company. But even before I got there, I started writing my first fantasy book. I always took writing very seriously, but I had these game developer ambitions to be a part of something on Bioshock/Mass Effect level. Making games is hard, but it's not just rocket science, it's a psychological state that requires you to sacrifice everything. It was holding me back from what I really wanted to do. Imaginary worlds. MY worlds.

Writing took over. I finally figured out what I need to do to align with my childhood "when I grow up" dreams. Of course, writing turned out to be even tougher than making games, you have to motivate yourself, fight the all-devouring self-doubt, no one is paying you salary, you live only for as long as you have savings, and when the money starts to run low food rationing comes into play and... ugh... Anyway...

Lemme see... Writer, supervillain... Ah! What's up with this "artist" part? Well, I've been drawing since I was 6, but I had lacked education. Then I discoreved that I'm the absolute devastator in the realm of 3D graphics. I used to compensate my poor drawing skills with making cool 3D. Then, by accident, I started sketching in subway on my way to work/from work. And the nature of going to work is (BREAKING) 5 days a week, every week. After a year since I started doing subway sketches, I realized: "wait a minute... this looks pretty good..." So now I'm in the middle of drawing and painting everything that I wanted to draw and paint since ancient history. It's hot and sexy girls, mostly. Why that pacticular topic? Because female body is the most beautiful thing in the world. I do appretiace the male physique, too and male anatomy is on my "to do" list, but for now I'm focusing heavily on my ladies. I'm also into achitecture, fashion, big-ass Warhammer armor, mecha, dinosaurs, but I already tried to spread myself thin as a kid, that didn't work. So, ladies. Yes, sometimes naked. With naked boobs. I hope you don't have a problem with that, because I sure don't. So be advised. I haven't written any sex scenes yet, but I outlined them. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, it's just in my fantasy world, people have sex. I also say "fuck" a lot. My characters are not different. Stevie King once wrote about writing that "you have to tell the truth". And the truth is, I find that swearing is fucking hilarious. It's a positive thing for me. Oh, dear. That's all definitely not very Dale Carnegie of me. Plants. Green thingies. Leon. About a week ago I put this onion in a glass tube filled with water, just water, no soil, but the roots just keep growing! True story.

I hope you enjoyed this little piece of writing. That wasn't easy, writing about this regular dude, who's just trying to make his way in the universe. I don't usually do that. I write about magic! Explosions! Power of black holes in a wizard's hand. Stick with me, if you're interested.
