HostsMaster Review: My Recommendation
HostsMaster presents an intriguing offer, but proceed with caution. While the allure of unlimited hosting for a one-time fee is undeniable, consider the potential drawbacks like limited transparency, unproven scalability, and a lack of established reputation. If you’re a complete beginner or have a low-traffic website, HostsMaster might be worth a try. However, for established businesses with high-traffic websites or those prioritizing reliability and transparency, established web hosting providers with proven track records might be a safer bet. Carefully evaluate your needs and research alternative options before making a decision.

My relationship with social media
So I've done mini breaks from all social media/limited my social media use to like 10 mins and I've been both successful and not successful (depending on how bad my mood was and what distractions I needed to stop thinking about the thing that was upsetting me lol
More rambling under read more~
but I want to get back into learning to draw and make art! I want to interact more with people! But it seems like social media is becoming so much harder to do any of that.
Twitter is dying (and I just read something about it mining your data for AI shit so I REALLY DON'T wanna even be on there to lurk anymore)
Tumblr is....honestly I have no clue. It seems to be doing shit that is trying to be the new Twitter but also just making stupid choices for the sake of??? being stupid bc I KNOW no one asked for half the shit they keep changing on tumblr. I understand that it needs to make money etc etc but can you pls be smart and not break the site??
I don't fuck with FB, Insta, etc I just don't.
I have a Pillowfort but idk maybe I'll move over there. I think bc I still use Tumblr I'm not fully on there yet but if Tumblr continues to be an ass in the next 5 years I might.
Idk as I navigate my life in the next year or so, I just don't see any desire to be on Social Media of any kind. I doubt I'll leave fully but man...idk something has got to change for me to even think of continuing on with any social media. Maybe bc I'm getting older now. I still love fandoms and the art I see and I want to do MORE than lurk but idk. I just hate hearing update after update of them stealing our info and all these restrictions like fuck you I'll just leave?! but then I get sad that I lose any connections I've made with the people I've interacted with. I might not talk a lot bc im a shy bitch but dammit I care about these people on a certain level. I don't want to lose that.
Idk, I've just been thinking about this all summer and how to navigate my relationship with it. Since losing my job i've used it more as a crutch but as I (hopefully) pass this test and start my path to teaching, I still want to enjoy it from time to time. I just get really bitter when I think back to when I was on other social media sites as a teen and think back to the type of freedom on there vs now. THAT'S NOT TO IGNORE ALL THE FUCKED UP SHIT THAT SHOWED UP but idk there had to be a better way than screwing over all the artists that might have drawn nsfw or even suggestive art. But also there is twitter and it's whole algorithm that fucks with artists as well. I never got into extreme shit but ive heard others have and regulations were barely there. But damn...how it is now kinda sucks also.
I kinda miss places like deviantart (im talking early 2000s idk what happened at a certain point lol) or Mibba (a writing forum blog site) or Quizilla. I miss that atmosphere of "social media". Maybe I'm being a little emotional and nostalgia is getting to me but i do know im really sick of everything that is now web 2.0.

i watched a youtube video about web 3.0 where the person said that neopets was web 1.0 and then went on to describe web 2.0 as just google and facebook. fucking help me.
it's wild like people seem to have completely forgotten about what 2.0 ever meant in their urge to follow through on bs "web3" stuff.
There is perhaps room to call the very earliest bits of neopets, the first year or so 1999-2000 as web 1.0, but primary lifespan of it had been as a web 2.0 site, as it still is.
It's also funny to attribute Google to web 2.0. It launched as its own business in 1998, and by 2002 had been made generic for searching for a thing by popular TV shows. And like, AOL had picked Google to run their website search in 99 and it snowballed so fast - but funny enough Google, a fundamentally web 1.0 concept, actually struggled to search web 2. 0 type stuff in its first years.
There was a whole specialty domain advertising and search product for the rise of the blogosphere in the early 2000s called "technorati" which was indexing blogs much faster and more routinely than Google did.
Google would eventually gain this same ability, as it needed to, in a few years, but it's not part of how Google was not, let's say, "web 2.0 native" then

Meet the Mac
PowerMac G5  2.0 DP Early 2005 M9747ll/A A1047
Tumblr media
The Specs
The early 2005 PowerMac G5 2.0 DP introduced in April 2005 with dual PowerPC 970 fx G5 processors running at 2 GHz. The base model came with 512 MB of PC3200  DDR memory, clocked at 400 MHz. I’ve upgraded my machine to the maximum supported amount of 4 GB. This model was discontinued in October of 2005.
This PowerMac shipped with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and supports up to version 10.5.8 Leopard. Applications designed for Mac OS 9 may be run in Classic mode, as this computer will only boot into OS X. I have set up my Mac to dual boot both Tiger and Leopard.
Storage was originally provided by an 160 GB  7200 RPM SATA hard  disk, with a second  bay available for an additional hard drive. I’ve installed two 1 TB hard drives to my system, allowing the two supported versions of OS X to each have their own drive. A 4X DL SuperDrive also came standard, enabling reading and writing to DVDs and CDs.
The G5’s graphics are powered by an ATI Radeon 9600 with 128 MB of VRAM, installed into an 8X AGP slot. This card provides two DVI ports, permitting either dual or mirrored displays at a maximum resolution of 1900x1200.
For networking, you get 10/100/.1000Base-T ethernet standard. AirPort Extreme wifi, Bluetooth, and modem were all optional and not originally installed on my machine. I have since added these.
Connectivity is fairly generous for a machine of the period, with 3 USB (2.0) ports, 2 Firewire 400 ports and a single Firewire 800 port.
For expansion, you get the aforementioned AGP 8X slot, occupied by the aforementioned ATI Radeon 9600. There are also 3 open PCI slots.
OK, that pretty much covers the specs, Let’s take a look at what you can actually do with this thing in the modern era.
The Internet
I’ll get this out of the way first: you’re not going to want to use this Mac as your daily driver on the internet.  Safari, Firefox and Chrome all left the G5 behind along time ago. Internet  Explorer? Even Microsoft has moved on from Internet  Explorer. Sort of. But...There is a web browser actively supported  for these machine. Built on an older version of Mozilla, TenFourFox is intended for PowerPC Macs running OS X Tiger or Leopard. It’s objective is to bring the modern web to these old Macs and, considering the limitations of the hardware, it doesn’t do a terrible job. Those hardware limitations are a  pretty severe bottleneck, though. It’s just too slow to keep up with today’s internet. Social networking sites like Facebook and Tumblr don’t seem to function correctly. YouTube does technically work if you can accept watching videos at 144p. Higher  resolutions bog the computer down to much, leading to buffering or choppy video. Basic, text heavy sites work tolerably well, though, and I have done quick research on the web while working on other projects on this machine. Still...Verdict: No.
Video Editing.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha . No.
Audio Processing
My needs in this area are very simple., and, I’ve been able to do very basic audio recording and editing on this Mac using a Blue Snowball USB microphone and Audacity. A quick note, though: if you’re Audio files  absolutely need to be in MP3 format, Audacity requires  the LAME library for MP3  encoding, which I have not been able to get to work with the old version of the software compatible with this old machine. I’m not saying it can’t be done. I’m saying I haven’t been able to figure out how to do it. Verdict: meh.
Retro Gaming
From a hardware perspective, this Mac should be a pretty capable retro gaming  rig. The chief problem here is simply the availability of games for the platform. Game studios tend to focus resources on where  the customers are, and in the computer gaming world, that’s going to be Windows  and gaming consoles. Back in 2005, the Mac community mainly got ports of games that had already been out for other platforms for some  time already, sold for full “new game price”, of course. If retro or any other type of gaming is your primary interest,  the Mac probably isn’t be your first choice. Still, it’s not a total wasteland out there. MacSoft put out some decent ports - Civilization IV? OK, I’m in for that. Verdict: meh.
Office
I spend most of my time on this Mac in OS X Tiger. The two office suites I’ve found  available for this operating system are Office  2004 and an equally ancient (4.0.6.2)  version of Open/LibreOffice. Whether this PowerMac can meet your needs in this area depends on, well, what you need. I use Office 2004, which includes  Word, PowerPoint  and Excel, and for me, that does pretty much everything I need it to. This old version of Office can’t open anything saved in Microsoft’s XML format, though. Those can be identified by an x at the end of their filename extensions, such as .docx for a Word document. OpenOffice can deal with these files, so if you find yourself frequently exchanging files with other people, that’s probably the way to go. Verdict: Qualified yes.
Desktop Publishing
Ah, now we’re getting to what I consider the Mac’s strong suit - desktop publishing. With the right software installed, this old Mac is still pretty capable. I got lucky and was gifted a G5 with Adobe Photoshop CS2. That’s CS2 as in “Creative Suite 2”, so, it’s the bundle - Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and InDesign.  I once read something to the effect that “your Mac will always do the things it did on the day you bought it just as well years later.” That’s not absolutely true - see Internet and Video Editing - but here I think that statement holds up. I’ve used this Mac to create newsletters. My typical workflow looks like this: rough drafts of articles are written in Word. I’ll also handle the proofing in Word (if InDesign has proofing features, I haven’t found or seen a peep about them anywhere.) I’ll copy and paste these into InDesign, and begin to design the layout. I’ll use Aperture for quick touch-ups to photos (color or contrast adjustment, brightness, etc.) while actual photo editing (cropping, compositing, etc.) is done in PhotoShop. I’ll then import these into InDesign and finalize the layout. Although very old, these are professional grade tools. Could a professional use them in 2020? That might be a bit of a stretch, but a hobbyist can absolutely use them. Verdict: Yes
Conclusion
Hardware and software limitations make this Mac poorly suited for the modern web. Limited availability of software hobbles it’s capabilities as a retro gaming rig. But, for basic office duty and desktop publishing tasks, this old Mac can still be a productive member of the family.

How COVID-19 Impacted on E-Commerce in ICT Industry?
Tumblr media
COVID-19 Impact on E-Commerce in the Information and Communication Technology Industry
Imbalance of fulfilling the consumer’s demand with respect to groceries and other essentials item has made the e-commerce industry into limelight due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the people have two options either to visit the supermarket personally or to order their respective product via online.
It has led to the rise in popularity of digital e-commerce web platform like shipt, Walmart, Instacart, Amazon and many more as numerous people finds digital e-commerce services reliable and safe during this time. Almost every customers practicing social distancing rely on this home delivery service the most and are willing to continue this for the next time as well. This has also changed the shopping behavior of the consumers on the geographical level. For instance, it has been witnessed that as compared to U.S., countries like Germany, U.K. and Japan do lack in shopping criteria basically in essential food items and groceries. This can be due to the leniency of U.S. law towards this COVID-19
With respect to shopping behavior while purchasing the item, people have begun stocking the housing essentials including mask, sanitizers, toilet papers and others. This act has negatively affected the overall e-commerce industry to some extent as the companies are failing in fulfilling the huge demand. Thus, this results into an increase in the price of essential items in an uncontrolled way due to this panic buying pattern. It just looks like everyone has to be the leader in the ongoing race of purchasing up unnecessary and irregular items. Based on the gender, it has been noticed that men are less concerned towards the ill effect caused due to this Covid 19 but are active in online shopping. Not only in U.S. there is an increase in new users downloading the wholesale mobile app but it also has be seen an increasing trend from India too. From January 2020, there is almost 50% hike in users who have spent on online and e-commerce app. On the other hand, in South Eastern countries like Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore among others, it has been witnessed a decline in the conversion rates in e-commerce apps. To overcome this e-commerce companies are taking initiatives to shift the consumer behavior towards at a quick rate and have reached more than 1million users on the daily baisis
For instance, Blibli, an e-commerce industry in Indonesia has been providing an easy yet outstanding online shopping experience to its users and has reached more than 1million users on the daily basis through their awareness campaign KarenaSehatNo1 through app push notifications and email.
Changes in the revenue Across E-commerce

Figure: Change in E- Commerce spending (2020)
·         OTHER E-COMMERCE CATEGORIES
Tumblr media
·         Figure: E-Commerce Consumer Sale (COVID-19)   The e-commerce industry has been impacted on both demand side as well as supply side. Virus related products such as soap, sanitizes, mask, tissue and others has witnessed an enormous rise in demand. Due to the imposed of certain limitation, some companies are not able to respond the changes or adapt it quickly.
·         Apart from this, it has been witnessed a downfall in the sales of fast-moving consumer goods since this time. For instance, in 2020, as per the survey by Digital Commerce in March, out of 304 e-commerce retailers, around 36.0% believed that the business will face a considerable downfall.  Shortage in the number of staff is another big problem which makes difficult for the companies to fulfill the orders. For example, BigBasket and Grofers stated that they have the access of only 50% -60% of the staff due to which their frequency of delivery rate has been reduced which ultimately has made a pressure on them for unavailability of the consumer. Likewise, Amazon too permitted for restricted deliveries mainly the essential items and has suspended the deliveries of certain goods due to the shortage of staff and logistical crisis. Kirana shops which previously faced a stiff competition from digital commerce platforms but at this period of time it is considered to be important destination for buying daily and essential items. Thus, Reliance has planned of digitally connecting with the Kirana shops. This will take place soon with the government tapping logistics firms to link these stores with consumers.
·         Apart from this, many B2B services who are involved into the launch of new platforms in healthcare sector i.e., transporting goods from like vital medical care supplies and ventilators. Many retailers who are especially dealing in essential goods have noticed a boom in their business. Companies engaged into the healthcare amenities consider that customers are indulged into continuous monitoring of their families’ health and fitness which ultimately leads to higher customer engagement. Even the demand for products related to cold and flu has also increased.
·         Online food delivery platform like Swiggy and Zomato follows the contactless deliveries in order to alleviate the fear with respect to hygiene. But still fear of strict police action against the delivering staff has also created the problem. Such type of hurdle indicates of institutional sickness like unaccountability and in affective communication amongst the local authorities which later acts as a challenge to the flawless delivery of e-commerce products.
·         Moreover, it has also been witnessed an upsurge in the demand of gaming, new platform and Over the Top (OTT) media.  For instance, in the first three month of 2020, Netflix, an online streaming service has added a huge 15.8 million paid subscribers. This was mainly due to the social distancing and lockdown in different parts of the world.
·         Thus, it can be said that few sectors of e-commerce will definitely boost not only in this current time period but at forecasting period too. But in contrast to it, the challenge will be of balancing up the supply chain by keeping vital safety measures for this pandemic situation. In order to run the business efficiently, it take lot of manpower starting from warehouse management to goods delivering. So, there will be situation like out-of-stock and delay deliveries and others. But Amazon, as an early mover announced of hiring over a million of people for strengthening its delivery fleet globally.
·         Regulatory insecurity as well as knee jerk reactions in emergency circumstances, cause more harm than good, as obvious from the government’s approach for the supply chain management during pandemic. The government must also provide relief to the small e-commerce players by permitting g them to deliver non-essential goods while practicing social distancing and hygiene. Ensuring regulation, restructuring of foreign investment laws and with better regulatory unity will definitely helps in enhancing the smaller e-commerce players’ growth.
·         However, the growth of the e-commerce will depend upon only on its service efficiency and adaption level with respect to general consumer psyche in long run. Mostly at this time period, companies which will respond better can able to tap better with the shift towards online purchasing.
·         E-commerce has even offered benefit to the farmers by making them to avoid middle men and intermediaries and to sell their produce to the wholesaler buyers including agribusinesses, corporate grocery, restaurants and others directly. This has benefitted the farmers not only with enhanced income but also with wastage reduction and enable financial inclusion.
·         E-commerce is growing at a annual rate of 23% as India, china and U.S. are known to be the biggest contributor for this growth. In today’s scenario mostly these three countries are only highly impacted due to Covid 19. In U.S. till now 10,000 people died while India is still trying to combat the Covid 19 impact with the strategy known as lockdown whereas, China seems to have a control over this pandemic situation. The China’s biggest e-commerce player Alibaba has contributed over USD 2.0 Billion of medical supplies to different countries such as Sri Lanka, U.S., Italy and U.S.
·         U.S. government is yet to announce any lockdown but the e-commerce stores are still working on and continuously involved into delivering products to its customers. Ever since the outbreak of Covid in U.S. companies like Amazon, Walmart and Instacart have faced a rise in the online orders. It has been witnessed that in first few weeks of March, grocery orders has jumped to 210% and is also expected to remain the same in this post-pandemic.
·         European Union asked the e-commerce companies to focused on manufacturing, designing and selling the products which are repairable and recyclable in the March first week. But after the rapidly increase of Covid, the e-commerce players were asked to keep a hold on these request and to continue offer the essential services. It results into building pressure from the consumer’s side with respect to catering huge orders on time. This leads to black marketing and hoarding of products and thus to eliminate this, e-commerce site put a restriction on multiple items. Such type of attempt has helped the overall e-commerce companies and even ensures that each customer should have an access to the essential products only.
·         In U.K. before the lockdown initiation, people got panic and as a result it has raised the sale of specific items including toilet paper, board games, crafts equipment medicines, groceries, home appliances and yoga mats.
·         China being one of the leading manufacturing and supply hub of B2C players in Asia-Pacific region, now due to the Covid impact, e-commerce companies are trapped and are facing a decrease in the demand as almost every country are into same situation. This has resulted China with a small market as the production is totally stopped and even freight ships are put on hold. To normalize this problem, it would take more time to put everything back into normal.
·         Singapore’s Health Science Authority (HSA) has detached around 3000 products from an online platform due to fake product’s information and spiked numerical. This was majorly done to enhance its sales and to make money. But the local government sabotaged the evil attempts of the sellers and e-commerce companies are dedicatedly working on delivering the essential item without being overcharged. License of the sellers were suspended who had participated in this money making business. HAS is also working on coming up with a system who will restrict and identifies such sellers from selling online.
·         In India, extension of the lockdown period has made the e-commerce executives to go to the government for help. A meeting was held amongst Honorary Piyush Goel, Commerce Minister of India along with leaders from DHL, Amazon, Swiggy, Zomato, Flipkart to grant them the permission of selling at least the essential items. In Australia, e-commerce players have adopted a defensive mode as they are continuously in contact with local municipalities and the government to deliver the essential items on time.
·         In 2020, the e-commerce industry was expected to do a business of around USD 6.0 trillion but due to lockdown and delivering of only the essential items seems that this number will not be achieved. B2C e-commerce companies can only deliver the essential products and services to their customer but in case players involved in B2B are under the lockdown completely. With the shutdown of the factories, in appropriate amount or nil of raw material, workers at home, blocked logistic services results into no product, no administration and no transaction. Moreover, the e-commerce organization has to keep their warehouse worker and delivery agent safe from this Covid infection. This can be done by taking proper measure like continuous sanitization of the workplace, access to mask, gloves and instant medical consideration to those agents with Covid symptoms so that the respective companies can serve their customers regularly and efficiently.
·         The coming month is considered to be tough time for the e-commerce industry as increasing number of death rate due to COVID-19 is making the government to release a curfew in many countries. The respective players have to work in close collaboration with the local authorities as well as the governments so as to run their business efficiently by offering in need with helping hand.

MEXC Global Research: Metaverse - Concept of A Virtual Reality
Tumblr media
What is Metaverse? In 1992, the famous American science fiction writer Neal Stephenson wrote “Snow Crash”, and described a network world, called the Metaverse, which was parallel to the real world. All the people in the real world have a network identity (Avatar) in their meta world and can communicate with each other and control their own wealth, as illustrated in Ready Player One. Simply put, the Metaverse is a bridge between the real world and the virtual world. This is achieved usually with VR and AR technology to expand the vision, sound, and touch from the real world by integrating digital objects into the physical world. The technology also brought in the real-world experiences involving trading, production, finance, and entertainment to form a truly immersive virtual world. On a side note, “Avatar” and “Metaverse” are both derived from this book. Today, the Metaverse has become the Internet’s new form which is the next stage after realizing virtual reality. It now appears to be able to combine blockchains and NFTs to become a formidable force. Characteristics of the Metaverse Social: Metaverse can move beyond the limits of space. It can communicate and interact in a way that is as close to the real world as possible. It can share “physical” environments with people worldwide and theoretically carry roles and ecosystems several times larger than the real world. Persistence: The metaverse never pauses or stops and lasts indefinitely. In this world, people can evolve for years or decades without worrying about losing roles and achievements. With blockchains and Internet technology, the Metaverse is not restricted by hardware, and everyone can interact with it using different types of devices. Interoperability: Metaverse uses open-source code and encryption protocols to provide fully open and extended interoperability of digital items/assets and content. Economic Benefits: You can think of the roles and beings in the Metaverse as digital species, and after they have formed an organization or guild, users can create, invest, own, lend, sell, or purchase services just like in the real world. Web 3.0 Simply put, Web 1.0 is a passive information delivery network, such as browsers and portal sites, that is unidirectionally delivered to users by the network world. Web 2.0 was created between 1999 and 2004, bringing the world from simple, static desktop web pages to interactive experiences, user-generated content, and the market economy, producing online giants like Facebook and Twitter. It utilizes the users-to-users process and uses the network as a people-to-people communication channel, enabling social functions. Over time, Web 3.0 came along, intending to become an open, trustless, and permission-less network. Web 3.0 understands and satisfies user needs, understands user habits, performs resource filtering, intelligently matches, and gives user answers. Web 3.0 is a process from user to network and then back to the user. Features of Web 3.0: Open — Based on open standards, the developer community is open, accessible, and completely transparent. Trustless — Participants can interact with each other without requiring third parties for verification. Permission-less — Any user has the right to participate, even those under an authoritative governmental institution. Therefore, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchain protocols have the most appropriate backgrounds for the development of Web 3.0. NFT+Metaverse The process of Web 3.0 has forced the emergence of new economic and ecosystem needs. NFT and the Metaverse is the exploration and validation of blockchains, value carriers, and interactive modes. In the metaverse, people have digital lives. They can make money, and can spend their leisure time without the restrictions of a physical world. However, if the Metaverse exists only in the Web 2.0 environment, large organizations such as Facebook and Google can control user data and profit from it. Centralized large enterprises can delete and control the users’ content. The users’ rights and freedoms will
be violated, contrary to the ideas. Therefore, ownership of digital items is significant if you want the Metaverse to continue developing, enter the mainstream, and become an indispensable part of people’s lives. With the advent of NFT (Non-Fungible Token), users can enjoy real digital ownership. NFT determines the ownership of items, and users themselves are the owners of digital items and assets, making them unique, scarce, and tradable in the real world. It can be said that NFT is indispensable to the success of the Metaverse, and NFTs can also enhance consensus with the help of the concepts of the Metaverse. Land The land is the content of almost all Metaverse-related projects at present and is also the basis of the entire Metaverse virtual land. Land is like real estate in the real world and enables income through three ways: trading, development and rental. Trading: Buy at a low price and sell at a high price to make a profit, but often requires a lot of initial investment and a unique vision. Development: Land development allows other residents to gain experience. It can also be sold after development to gain revenue periodically. Casinos, galleries, games, advertising spaces, and more are examples of a virtual world’s land development. Renting/Leasing: As the virtual world becomes more popular and land prices rise dramatically, land renting or leasing becomes an important part of the ecosystem. Metaverse-related Projects The Sandbox The Sandbox is a subsidiary of Animoca, a well-known gaming company. Players can use their SAND tokens to build their own virtual world and make profits. There is a DAO in the game, where players can create games, develop the land using the component called Game Maker, or create 3D virtual objects by themselves using the VoxEdit software to trade in markets for economic benefits. The Sandbox currently has a sale volume of $20 million USD and has more than 50 partners, including well-known IPs such as Atari, Crypto Kitties, and Shaun the Sheep, most of which invest in the land or own their own roles in The Sandbox. In the virtual world of The Sandbox, there are three main types of tokens: LAND, SAND, ASSET, which construct the economic system of The Sandbox. Decentraland Decentraland is a distributed VR virtual space platform built on Ethereum, which resembles “The Sims” in the world of blockchains. The platform recently announced the integration of Polygon as an expansion plan. Users have their own avatars to browse, create content, buy lands, and socialize within the platform. Decentraland’s token is MANA, which can be used for purchasing assets and services and governance. Decentraland’s virtual land space is also called LAND, and the token records information such as circulation, ownership, location, and other information. LAND needs to be purchased with MANA, which is burned after each purchase. Users can use 3D modeling tools such as SketchUp to create items or contents and import them into the game to be used on the land. Axie Infinity Axie Infinity is an Ethereum-based open-world game about collecting and raising strange creatures. Axies were one of the earliest NFT pets that could be used in battle. Sky Mavis, Axie Infinity’s development team from Vietnam, completed a Series A financing round in May, with participants such as Mark Cuban, the owner of the NBA Dallas team, and Animoca, the gaming company. Other partners include Ubisoft, Binance, and Samsung. Axies, like real-world pets, can reproduce their offspring by breeding. Each Axie reproduces up to seven times, requiring a small amount of ETH and a specific amount of the currency SLP (Small Love Potion), which is a token within Axie Infinity. The new Axie will inherit the various traits of the two Axies involved in breeding. Axies can be sold in the secondary markets, with an Axie selling at the highest price of around 300 ETH, worth $130,000 USD. Axie Infinity’s Metaverse Land is called Lunacia, with a total of 90,601 lots, each of which is a rare NFT, and the price of each lot varies depending on
its geographic location. Some of the Metaverse Projects (Data Obtained from CoinGecko on June 24)
Tumblr media
Future Development
Metaverse is one of the current development trends, but it still faces many challenges.
Possible problems:
Cross-platform: It is difficult to directly transmit data between different game worlds, NFT platforms, and cryptocurrency platforms.
Standards and Contents: An important feature of the Metaverse is that users create content. There are no complete standards for content auditing for the time being, and there are also problems where the content in individual virtual spaces might violate the laws in the real world.
Ecosystem: Currently, the protagonist of the Metaverse is the player, and more kinds of roles and professions are needed to achieve a sufficiently realistic world.
Practical value:
Market: The demand for Internet users, game markets and virtual goods is growing very rapidly, and the Metaverse is able to meet this part of the people’s needs perfectly.
Economy: In virtual space, there are economic models that are similar to the real world and incorporate innovative elements of Web3.0, and they can never be stopped.
Social layer: The Metaverse can provide an immersive social experience with a high degree of user engagement and a more powerful feeling than that of the real world.
Overall, the Metaverse is still in the early stages, and although virtual space is a bit rough, the entire concept still has tremendous potential.

For technical SEO practitioners and site developers, news from Google I/O
The announcements made by the Chrome team on the availability of technologies and extensions to their current products in the “What’s new for The Web Platform” presentation have a lot of value for technical SEO practitioners and site developers alike.
The Google Chrome Team made announcements on the availability of technologies in a session titled. “What’s new for The Web Platform” at Google I/O last week. It’s no surprise that the session’s two main speakers, Ben Galbraith and Dion Almaer, co-wrote an early book about AJAX and Web 2.0.
The Web Platform is made up of open web technologies that allow the web to act as a virtual operating system enabling browsers to deliver application-like experiences. As users have grown to expect from Google and others. Other key seminars, such as the “What’s new in Web Vitals” session, have been covered. We’ll go through key aspects from any session that pertains to SEO development.
Tumblr media
Chromium
As a top Web browser, Google’s Chromium is more powerful than Chrome alone. It also runs Microsoft Edge and other programmes. Chrome’s browser market share lead over competitors is now comparable to Google Search’s lead over competitors. Internet Explorer is being phased out by Microsoft. Chrome has become the primary browser for which developers write code, with a fallback for unsupported features or a focus on technologies that are also supported by Safari and Firefox.
Safari is the only rival browser that isn’t in the single digits in terms of user market share, thanks to WebKit, which powers iOS’s in-app WebView. It’s worth noting that Google’s most recent development achievements, which were disclosed at Google I/O, coincide with unparalleled rises in browsing activity.
Coronavirus multi-market study (GlobalWebIndex) predicts strong growth in July 2020, a key milestone.
Time spent on cell phones has increased by 70%.
Laptop users spend 47% more time on them.
On average, people spend 33% more time on their computers or desktops.
New security features
Security.
The first announcement from the Chrome team is a new security sandbox feature that isolates inline frame instances. That is, cross-site iframe> material embedded within a website, such as a YouTube widget, now operates as a distinct process from the process that handles the embedding page itself. Through V8 to Chrome, the isolation security architecture is meant to prevent data leakage from heart bleed and malicious JavaScript.
Cookies.
Google also announced that the previously disclosed change to its default cookie handling behaviour for third-party website access is now available in Firefox. After previously being available only in Chrome and Edge. Unless you don’t access third-party cookies or provide third-party websites access to your own site’s cookies. If you haven’t heard about SameSite cookie requirements for operational third-party cookie access. Now is the time to find out. The browser handling behaviour is governed by SameSite directives.
APIs.
Given the widespread usage of third-party cookies, the Chrome Team unveiled a new “family of APIs” including federated login, tailored advertisements, and conversion tracking that can enable alternative paths for use cases that previously required the usage of a third-party cookie. For example, the “Attribution Reporting” API proposal would shift conversion monitoring from cookies monitoring visitors across websites to the browser itself.
Tracking prevention.
Transmissions from the Attribution Reporting API contain time delays and noise to prevent trackers from linking together personally identifying data with conversion event timing. Making it difficult for anyone to successfully trace specific users and conversions that way. The API, along with a few other APIs, are accessible in origin trials. Which you may use to test with your own website before they go live.
New progressive web app features
Context menu and badges.
Progressive web apps now allow you to develop “shortcuts” that expose “fast actions” as context menu items (right-click or two-finger tap) with supporting operating systems such as Android, Chrome OS, Windows, and macOS once they’ve been installed with an icon on home screens and desktops. A new Badging API also allows you to add a notification number to your app’s icon.
Declarative Link Capturing.
The origin trial version of a proposed “Decorative Link Capturing” API will be available soon. The proposed API allows links from outside the PWA context to open the PWA. Similar to how clicking a link to a YouTube video URL opens an installed YouTube app. Rather than a browser tab with the YouTube website. This is similar to deep-linking but in an app context.
The manifest file.
Chrome on desktop and Android web app installation user interfaces are receiving snazzy new dialogues and information panels to provide users more information and guidance to make the process go more smoothly. Custom text and graphics can be specified in the manifest file of a web app by developers.
Multi-Screen Window Placement API.
This new API allows progressive web programmes to find and adjust the location of the window on all connected monitors. This functionality is said to be useful for web-based presentations and video conferencing. These trends, once again, are in line with the substantial increases in browsing activity that will begin in 2020.
File System Access API.
Finally, online programmes now have access to the user’s file system. What could possibly go wrong? You’ll be able to deal with existing files and save state to disc using your app. A new File Handling API allows you to register your web app as a file type handler. Allowing users to open files and have them handled by your web app, exactly like a native app. Later this year, an experimental release will be available.
At least theoretically, the Web Platform is quickly becoming the “web as operating system,” with application-like experiences as envisioned. Expect early encounters to be a little strange, with a steep developer learning curve and a lot of effort to put in place. However, these are exciting times for web developers who want to experiment with cutting-edge web technologies.
Web Assembly news
Web Assembly (Wasm) promises to compile code into binary executables that can be run in JavaScript engines. Performance difficulties, one of the most common concerns, maybe improved now that V8 supports contemporary CPUs with SIMD instructions for better multimedia performance.
Wasm’s best feature is that it allows you to develop web apps in nearly any language, not just JavaScript, by compiling down to the binary specification. There are some notable Rust projects, for example. It builds to JavaScript binaries that can be run in current browsers. Knowing what you’re limited to when using a language like Rust. On the other hand, is crucial for staying within the Wasm standard.
Core Web Vitals
The most significant Core Web Vitals announcement is that performance gains from enhancing web vitals will benefit both mobile and desktop rankings later this year. It was always strange to believe that damaged rankings would simply apply to mobile searches, given that PC users often surf under sporadic network conditions.
Rankings.
We’ve gotten some clarification on lab test results. The rankings will be adjusted based on the data collected in the field. Lighthouse is “calibrated to be indicative of a user in your high percentiles,” which is good news. That means that if you get good lab results, users in the field will, nine times out of ten, send Google even better results for your User Experience ranking factor adjustment.
Background images.
It’s been difficult to figure out what your Largest Contentful Paint element is. Lighthouse will soon give you a thumbnail and will be updated for better accuracy. When dealing with backgrounds and carousel pictures, thankfully.
Layout shifting.
Changes to how Cumulative Layout Shift is calculated are another nagging issue that is being addressed. It was the case that the shifting accumulated during the course of the page browsing session. Because some users load and leave while others explore and scroll up and down. The score did not indicate the level of precision required to account for a change in your rankings as a result. Google now takes a 5-second sample and adds it up to get the highest shift score.
Content visibility.
With the value set to auto, the relatively new content-visibility CSS attribute can now be used to boost performance ratings. This allows the browser to forego rendering the contents of that element if it isn’t currently visible in the user’s display. Resulting in greater performance when compared to the quantity of material in those elements.
Prerendering.
While several browsers have implemented prerendering capabilities, allowing developers to signal URLs in, say, your top navigation to be stored in the browser cache for quick loading on the click, there are some issues with cross-site security, multimedia that may suddenly playback, and even unintentionally logging users out of authentication. Later this year, Google expects to release an updated prerendering API.
Why we care
There are a number of things to look forward to from Google as it expands browser and API support for Web Platform technologies. Many of these technologies are already available, and several of these announcements state that more will be accessible this year. All of the updates discussed here will either help you improve your rankings or give you new methods to engage your site’s visitors.
Don’t forget to join up for our SEO for Developers Workshop at SMX Advanced on June 15th and 16th. As well as our workshops on June 17th and 18th, to stay up with the rapid pace of these changes in website construction, web app authoring, and technical SEO work for rankings!
