i'm further into yumi and the nightmare painter (early part three) and i feel so bad for yumi. yeah maybe vin or shallan had worse childhoods but she's literally been deprived of all human experience. she hasn't been allowed to form almost any relationships and the only one she does have is extremely horrible. she doesn't get to make decisions for herself or form opinions on things.
