Hello, and thank you for stopping by my blog! I'm Hazel and this is one of my alt characters for FFXIV. My pronouns are he/him, I'm an early 20's college student still trying to figure out what to do with my life, but I'm getting there!

I'm still very new to roleplaying but I've always had a ton of thoughts and ideas about my characters so this blog is both to help consolidate those thoughts and to also share them with anyone who wants to see them.

I'm situated on Zalera (Crystal) and spend most of my time either raiding or taking GPose shots, but regardless I look forward to seeing everyone around the great, vast star we find ourselves on.

About Derrinall

Derrinall Evramont, Knight of Gelmorra, should be dead. He had breathed his last some 500 years ago, his bloodline cursed to live short lives in part to the Elementals of the Black Shroud. For 5 centuries he laid in the ruins of the once great Duskwight civilization...

That is, until he was brought back to the star for reasons he did not know. All he saw was a glimpse of a woman's figure before slipping into a slumber. When he awoke again he wandered the ruins, eventually stumbling upon two he would learn to be kindred spirits, in a way. The two strangers helped him to recover even as he kept his personal information close to his chest, eventually pointing him to work and housing in Ishgard.

In the service of Lady Lia Amelune, the White Snake, Derrinall found himself quickly rising in the ranks of her knights, soon becoming the Captain himself. He now resides in Ishgard to always be at the ready to serve his new calling in this second life.

You are cold, analytical, and you strive to be as objective as a person of flesh and blood can be. Either you don't understand the concepts of good and evil, or you understand it perfectly and think it's a load of bull. Some may call you selfish, some may call you unfeeling, but you're just doing what you believe will yield the best results, plain and simple. Why bother with petty ideals of right or wrong when you can do what will actively help those you give a fuck about? Your goals may be selfish or noble or anything in between, but you will not let anyone make you feel like garbage for going after them. You couldn't care less about what people brand you as. You just care about getting shit done by any means necessary.

What sky are you?

STORMY you don't shy away from expressing yourself. your emotions can be unpredictable, but you try not to stifle them. you're passionate to a fault. you are fiercely loyal and won't hesitate to defend and protect the people and things you care about. but you can be impatient at times -- with yourself and with others. sometimes you turn to "easier" emotions like anger when you don't know how to handle things like guilt, grief, or helplessness.

Decided to do this exercise for Lia, because I love her very much. She's a tough one to take these OC questionnaires for, but I think the result is accurate enough. She's mean but not unkind, and I'm grateful to have friends who have the patience to read between and unravel her layers.
