Lee Week Day 6: Best Friends
Some of my favorite pictures of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in honor of Peter’s birthday today. I know they made several movies together, but I still wish they had made more. They had such wonderful chemistry onscreen and an even more wonderful friendship offscreen.

LeeWeek Day 6- Count Dooku
"I've probably done more sword fights on celluloid than any actor in history, and this fight is greater than anything I've ever been involved in."―Christopher Lee in the Attack of the Clones "Action Featurette"
Like Saruman, Count Dooku is a character that young-me grew up with long before I knew about Christopher Lee and his coolness. Say what you want about the prequels, they were a big source of inspiration and joy to me much like the Lord of the Rings films, both being a huge part of my generation being introduced to Christopher Lee.

Lee Week 2022 Day 7: 🎈Happy birthday!🎈
A drawing I did of Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. I wanted to try a different style this time. Pretty pleased with how it turned out. Also, that’s frosting on the knife, not blood…supposedly 😉

Leeweek 2022 Day 2:
Some of my favorite pictures of him smiling. He had such a lovely smile. ❤️ I wonder what they’re talking about in these pictures.

LeeWeek Day 4- Gandalf!
"But OZ!" you may cry, "Christopher Lee played SARUMAN, not Gandalf!" Bruh, don't argue with me about LotR, I read the Silmarillion for crying out loud and came out with most of my sanity intact.
While Chris did ultimately play Saruman and it's the role I'll always most associate him with, he originally wanted to play Gandalf! He had J.R.R Tolkien's blessing to play the character, but for various reasons he was given the role of Saruman instead. I think he's the most perfect actor for the role, but just for fun this is my take on an alternate universe where Chris got to be Gandalf.

LeeWeek Day 2- Rochefort eating Roquefort
Christopher Lee was a trained swordsman, so he was a perfect choice to appear in The Three Musketeers, especially as the flamboyant and fantastically moustache'd Rochefort, not to be confused with the very pungent cheese, Roquefort.
When not engaged in villainy or wearing silly hats, Rochefort enjoys a good cheese and fruit plate with a rich red wine.

Lee Week 2022 Day 3:
My Saruman Funko Pop right next to The One Ring and my LOTR books in the background. I want to get the Count Dooku Funko next.

LeeWeek Day 3!
The Wicker Man was the movie that got me into the Christopher Lee fandom, so I always include in my LeeWeek posts. I think that as a Scotsman who values tradition and heritage, Lord Summerisle would have made a point to learn Gaelic as would a lot of people on the island. I have been learning it myself for most of a year now, it isn't as brutally difficult as it's made out to be though like any language it's not a cakewalk either!
Disclaimer, my Gaelic is still pretty rudimentary so tha mi duilich for any mistakes!
Panel 1: This is an apple! I like apples a lot, they are so tasty. So pretty, so nice.
Panel 2: Oh dear! It is so windy and I have a kilt on today! I don't have underpants on at all.
Panel 3: Are you feeling too hot right now? I don't care.

Lee Week Day 4: A Role I’d Like to See Him In
The Phantom of the Opera with Peter Cushing as Raoul. I think he would have made a great phantom especially with his singing voice.

Lee Week Day 1:
A drawing I did of Count Dooku to start off Lee Week. Count Dooku is such an interesting character. I wish there was more of him in the movies. I do plan on coloring this, which is why I didn’t outline the lightsaber too much. I just need to get more copic markers.

LEEWEEK DAY 1!
Starting off with a younger Chris in graphite and ink, I've been doing a lot of compositions with characters both contained and overlapping background shapes- maybe relying on that too much, lol- but I like how it looks and it makes for fun contrast.

Happy 100th to Christopher Lee!
I made a white sponge cake with homemade whipped cream topping, topped with fresh fruit. This is from a cookbook called Mooncakes and Milkbread focused on Chinese-style baking, it's been so fun to try new techniques. I'm really proud of how the whipped cream turned out.
Thank you to @christopherleefan for hosting LeeWeek! I always enjoy participating and seeing everyone else's posts and art. I have one last piece to finish, hoping to have it up next week.

I am having an actual battle with this artwork, but I'm finally starting to feel like I'm winning. I don't know when I'll be done but I'm hoping that it will be sooner than a week past the deadline!!!
