Recently celebrated my birthday and had the thought of what each pkgo character would get me. This is very self-indulgent and not at all serious. Slightly NSFW in Arlo's part

Prof. Willow: probably a bag, I'm a backpack boy for the space it provides and compartments

I don't have much to add due to the fact that the dialogue feels fast-paced despite being nothing but text, so the gameplay experience will be interesting. Kudos on the writers for channeling that.

Nin's design breakdown!

Ik I& haven't been really, like...expressive lately, so here's a ramble to try to prove I've& got emotions xD. Anyway-! So-! This is p self-explanatory so let's just get right to it: Nin, the ancestor of Leader Sierra and Arlo, design explaination.

So first of all, Nin is the identical twin of Yin (AKA Y/N) bc I& often find it interesting when characters are "reused" in these kind of ways. Therefore, Nin so happens to be Na's half ancestor and vice-versa. Also, honestly, twins have so much potential for character design and story and stuff haha. Literally why I& made Arlo and Sierra twins and Cliff does not exist lol.

So! Nin has neon-red eyes which are really only there bc Yin has red eyes and they're a signature trait in Na's bloodline, but it still kind of works since Arlo happens to have dark red eyes.

The hair is somewhat self-explanatory. ...Actually, it was only AFTER I& designed Nin that I& realized Sierra's hair is brown, not black so hm- let's say the brown hair comes from Yin, ironically xD. Anyway, red/orange and black hair. Although Arlo's red streaks are artificial, I& decided to make Nin a natural ginger anyway. So yea, the pointy bit on the end of Nin's bun is a reference to Arlo and the pin in Nin's bun is a reference to Sierra, although with an ancient pokeball.

Next! Uhm, so! Honestly, i& don't think Arlo wears glasses and they're rather actually GOGGLES, but there are so few characters with glasses in Pokémon so let me& have this 😭. Anyway, that's why Nin is one-eyed! To account for Arlo's seeming loss of vision...which, yeah, is definitely a bit...EXTREME but-- xD

And Nin's clothes are basically just what Yin wears, but with a different colour scheme. Although, Nin's clothes definitely have more of a...grandmother/caregiver theme. Like, Nin is literally the caretaker of orphan children; of course she's going to wear something less uniform-like and more homely. Nin DEFINITELY has grandmother vibes xD She'd make cookies and get subtlely upset if you don't try them.

Also! Nin (and Yin) are, like, 43 years old (Nin is the older twin if you were curious) but don't look like it at all. Same with Arlo actually bc uhm- Sierra is clearly older than Arlo canonically but since they're twins in my& au... I& pretend it's one of Arlo's gimmicks to look way younger than he actually is 😅😆

If there was one thing I'd& change about Nin's design it's that I& wish she looked way more like Sierra than Arlo bc... Well, yeah, the pin is on-the-nose, but... I& kinda want it to be like Nin is Arlo's HALF ancestor, but obviously, that logically doesn't make sense since Arlo and Sierra are in the same generation.

You see, Spark's rival counterpart is Sierra of course, so it'd be more... Revolutionary for Nin to resemble her more than Arlo. But I'm& too attached to Nin's design to change it, thus, Nin shall forever have such amazing hair- /hj
