A friend of mine, Laura, has come down with a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome. She's unable to walk or even use her hands with much dexterity. Currently, despite having a remote-only job, she cannot work. Soon, Laura will be moving to a rehab center for what may be quite a while.

Please help Laura and her husband make ends meet. Her husband is doing all he can but this is America afterall. If you have even a dollar to spare, we'd greatly appreciate it.

Spring FTX Community Service

April 4, 2023—While most commissioning-track cadets spent time off post for spring field training exercises, non-commissioning cadets participated in community service activities in the Lexington area. Cadets volunteered with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Waddell Elementary School, Rockbridge SPCA, Boxerwood Nature Center and Woodland Garden, and Lime Kiln Theater. Cadets also led the events during the Special Olympics’ VMI Games in Cocke Hall and Cameron Hall. And cadets assisted in building a timber framed structure for Rockbridge Area Recreation Organization at Brewbaker Field Sports Complex.—VMI Photos by Kelly Nye, H.
