Mayor Perry has personally invited you, as a citizen of Starlight Oaks, to attend the town’s annual Winter Festival! From Friday through to Sunday (26th January – 28th January), after 5pm, come join your neighbors in celebrating the season! This year is going to be the biggest festival yet, and we promise that you don’t want to miss out on the fun. This year’s festivities will include activities such as ice skating and mini golf. Come hungry, as the classic fair foods will all be available for purchase: cotton candy, elephant ears, pizza, kettle corn... but that's not all! A number of stalls operated by your local favorites will be popping up throughout the square that won't only satisfy the kids, but warm our adults from head to toe. Grab yourself a glass Cosmo's famous mulled wine while you're there! Or shimmer and shine with Gravi-tea's Winter Festival exclusive flavors! It won’t be the weekend to forget your wallet! And, don’t you fret! The holidays may be over, but colorful lights and brilliant art installations will decorate in formations that celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. Multiple streets along and around the town square will be blocked off, where there will be a small train that circles and brings you past the biggest light displays. If you’re looking for the rides, the ferris wheel will have just what you need! Take a few spins so you can take in the wonderful view that is the evergreen trees surrounding the area, and if you squint hard enough, you might just catch a glimpse of the glowing Starlight Pier in the distance. The ferris wheel will be the only ride available during this event. For our thrill seekers, keep an eye out for the spring fair! #StarOaksWinterFest

EVENT DETAILS

This event will begin on Friday, January 26th (from midnight PST) and end on Friday, February 2nd (at midnight PST).

All threads pertaining to the Winter Festival must begin during this period. No new starters should be posted after this time, however you may continue in the days following to wrap up these threads.

This event is entirely optional, however as this is the first event of the group to commemorate its opening, we recommend getting involved.

Winter Camp Activities for the Campsick

The holidays and winter are upon us. Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Festivus, Christmas, New Year’s, Lunar New Year, on and on. There’s no one way to feel about the holidays, but a lot of people struggle with conflicting feelings of happiness from the actual holidays with the downs of winter and the general happenings of life and mental health. For those of us who love camp, we’re still quite far away from next year (6-7 whole months but who’s counting). So here are some ways to incorporate camp into your winter holiday season:

Make some friendship bracelets as a gift.

Set up a hang out for you and your camp friends.

Write or draw about your favorite camp memories.

Spend time in nature.

If the weather cooperates, do some outdoor activities you do at camp, like going on a hike or water activities.

Get crafty and whip up something special with what you’ve got on hand, just like camp. Or make a trip to the store and treat yourself to a new supply or item for crafting.

Spend some time honing your self care skills and thinking about how you can use them at camp next summer.

Go through your photos and have a little trip down memory lane.

the most wonderful time of the year

pairing: narcissa malfoy x fem!reader

summary: the holiday times roll around. the times of family, love, and giving. so narcissa decides to take you on a shopping spree. 

warnings: none! really just sexual themes (mentions of smut) but no smut or anything. a lil fluffy.

a/n: i thought of something a little different from this request, i wanted to try something new and without smut this time. BUT i will say i can make a part 2 if this does well of y/n using her find ;)) ALSO IT’S CHRISTMAS THEMED (most likely not proofread)

Pine. That’s all you could smell for miles as you walked down the pavement with the comforting, golden glow lit from above in lamp posts. Not to mention the light crunch sensation under your feet from the inch or two of snow. The time of the year weighed heavily on the bustling life of the shopping row, the time of giving. The time of family, love. The holidays. The most wonderful time of the year. And who better to spend it with than your wife, Narcissa.

The specifics were never important to you. Growing up you didn’t have many extras. This time of year was mainly for family. Gifts weren’t important, as long as you had a roof over your head and food in your stomach was all that mattered. That all was until you met Narcissa. Her family had always celebrated Christmas as opposed to Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. They didn’t celebrate it for the religious aspect but for the social aspect. It was an excuse to blow their money on shit they didn’t need.

The first Christmas you spent in the Malfoy household was odd. You knew the date, you just figured it would be any other day. That is until you got out of bed that morning and saw the designer bags sitting by the door along with a little note. They weren’t wrapped, tagging with the idea of just buying things and giving them to someone, not making them extra for bonus points. And you liked that. It made you feel a certain way. It made you think. But who were you kidding, you were too surprised and delighted to see them all waiting for you.

The Malfoys always surprised you, even with all the times, before they always seemed to top the last. Clothing and jewelry were what you received. It may not sound like much but the price showed up for it all. Brands like Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Balenciaga were what was given to you. Your favorite gift (that you still wore to this day) was a silver olive leaf vine bracelet. It meant a lot more than what was on the surface. The tag said “From Lucius” but lord knows a man couldn’t have picked out something so delicate. It was from Narcissa. You knew it in your bones.

Because of this, you never left your room without it. Being given something so pricey by the woman you wanted gave you a sense of importance. You loved it, you loved her. You eventually got what you wished for and were the happiest you had ever been. You got married and had the most lavish wedding possible. Per your request, it took place in the backyard garden. The vibrance of greenery gives a compliment to the woodsy decor. It was more than perfect. Your family even came, the acceptance of it all bringing you to tears of joy that day.

This year would be the first year where you and Narcissa were spending the holidays together, partially alone. Draco was currently finishing up his school year at Hogwarts, then from there, he would go to stay with his father. Then, return home for time with you and Narcissa. In the meantime, it was just you and your wife. Which was great for the two of you when it came to your sex life. You were always trying to find fun ways to spice things up when it came to sex with Narcissa, especially after her relationship with Lucius. As long as no one was in the house, there wasn’t a spot where you two hadn’t done it. From the counter in the kitchen to the top of the dryer in the small laundry room. The two of you went on it like rabbits.

And somehow, there were always new ways.

You were currently in the middle of the annual shopping spree Narcissa would always endeavor for the holiday season. Her hands were practically full of shopping bags with gifts for her loved ones. You walked next to her in the same situation with full hands. Before the spree, Narcissa had taken the two of you out to a nice dinner, and of course, as always, she had to get her favorite Rosé, which always leads to an out-of-the-box decision. Because of this, she was currently leading you to the most pricey lingerie store in the area.

At Dinner…

“Cissa, I don’t need lingerie. I’m happy with my bras and panties and whatever.” You reasoned with her as she casually sipped her wine. “But honey, don’t you want to feel sexy even when I’m not around?” You shrugged at her suggestion. You took another bite of your meal before speaking again. “I just feel like it’s a waste.” “Nothing’s a waste if it makes you happy, my love.” She looked you in the eyes with sincerity as she spoke. “We’ll just go, look around, and if you find nothing you like, then that’s fine. It’s final.” She smiled up at you before picking up her fork once again.

Back to the Present…

You walked into the pink and red filled store, taking in the extremely different atmosphere compared to the rest of the stores you had previously been in. The lustful colors make your eyes hurt, especially with the fluorescent neon signs on the walls. “Honey, give her your bags,” Narcissa said from behind you. “Oh.” You spun around quickly, setting your bags into the hands of an employee. “Thank you.” You smiled at the woman, her returning the same smile before walking off to the back to safely store your belongings.

“The floor is yours, baby. Go on and browse.” Narcissa said as she fished through her designer purse for her wallet. You nod as you wander into the store, glancing at the racks of lingerie. One thing you knew about expensive brands like this so far was that they would only have 2 to 5 articles of the same item. No more, no less. Making every rack look as bare as it can be.

You didn’t want something too colorful, too ruffled, too pricey, or too extra. You wanted something basic, even if Narcissa didn’t approve of your taste. Growing up, you had little for extras, only necessities. It kept that way as you grew up, but since growing close with Narcissa you’ve learned that it’s good to indulge sometimes. But you pushed it all to the back of your head just for this night.

As you skimmed through the racks, you were finding nothing that quite caught your eye. It was either not the right color or not the right cut for your taste. But one set caught your eye. A lacy, black bra and panty set with lacy roses engulfing the bra cup. The panties complimented with a little ribbon bow that sat right under one’s belly button. It was perfect. The way it would hug one’s curves perfectly was mesmerizing to think about.

Before you could take it off the rack, Narcissa noticed your fixation before walking over to join you. “Just about ready, dear? Did you find something you liked?” She said softly, looking down at the skimpy garment you were holding, a small smirk plaster on her lips. “Yeah, I think I’ll go with this one.” You said with a smile, holding it up in the air in front of you two to give Narcissa a look. “I think that’ll look absolutely delicious on you, baby.” She said low, a small twinge in her voice.

“I was thinking more for you, than me.” You replied, looking up at Narcissa, watching as her face slowly flushed.
