mmm spent a couple hours on lacemarket going through all of the dresses and skirts (yes literally all of them), there’s many good choices. I almost forgot to check the actual brand sites’ online shops tho :v I keep forgetting it’s the marine bear ribbon jsk that’s still got acceptable colors in stock, when I was looking a few days ago I only checked the bustle jsk and the op. (the bustle jsk is the one I fell in love with, but it occurs to me that since I am in a wheelchair a bustle panel really does not matter.)

so, I uhhhhhh did leave some tabs open. for when mom calls. cuz we gotta talk about money anyway. we’re going to talk about braces/supports and then I want to work out what the plan will be for my stimulus check(s?).

options for what to do with all that money after paying off cc, assuming both checks come through:

shove in savings for $30/wk for 12 months

shove in savings for higher allowance for less time

some in savings for same allowance, some to spend

some in savings for higher allowance, some to spend

paying off the cc is a given. that is going to happen no matter what. and some will go to savings no matter what too. (I am nothing if not relentlessly pragmatic.) it’s just a question of how we prioritize.

plus probably another $50-100 for any necessary stuff to make it an actual outfit which can theoretically get got with allowance, blouse and petticoat and shoes. maybe accessories.

the only other Big Thing I could really spend money on is a new ipad mostly for the purpose of drawing society6 blankets. (min $430, but might be better to just upgrade to an ipad pro for art and storage reasons (min $800). I have been drawing for 2 1/2 years at this point, after all, I think it’s fair to assume I’m serious about it at this point. when mom got me my current ipad I’d only been drawing for 3 months. if I pay off my cc and get the smaller ipad pro with double the storage of my current ipad, I still have 5 months of allowance left over. so that is theoretically possible depending on what mom wants to do, and assuming the one they’re arguing about now happens. I do definitely want mom fully in the loop before I make any final decisions, because she’s the one that’s been giving me allowance so whether I decide to use it for that or for other stuff directly impacts her pockets :v )
