Do you know this feeling, when you go to a new country for the first time and it just feels right.. That was Korea for me!!

I had been dreaming of traveling there for so long and the time had finally come. With my bags packed and lots of enthusiasm, I made my way to the airport to finally start my adventure. 13 hours (and a few naps) later, I landed at Incheon Airport full of joy and excitement, where my three-week journey finally began.

Flights & Accommodation:

While planning this trip, I wanted to make sure that I would get the best (and cheapest option) that would suit my personal taste. The flight company Asiana Airlines had a really good deal for flight, which I took. I don't know why people say that food on airplanes is generally bad, because i really liked everything they had. Be prepared to take a lot of naps and take some snacks with you, cause 13 hours is a loong time and you will definitely need some recharge.

Airbnb all the way: the one I booked was great, it was a small room (which is perfect for one person) with a view of the skyline of Seoul.. Absolutely stunning. You have to cook for yourself tho and clean up.. No fancy cleaner or made breakfast for me, but I knew that before. Also, it is important to mention that in these small apartments, the shower and toilet are normally all in one area and not separated from eachother (no shower cabins for me or you). So squeeze in and go for it..

What to do:

So... What can I say. Seoul is so big that you won't have a single lazy day. There's so much to do if you know where to go. So the decision can range from a fancy restaurant to tons of food markets (all of which have fantastic food), to aquariums or ancient villages. You'll always find something you like.

Well.. You have to like fish and seafood to visit Gwangjang market, cause there is tons of it. Do you like crabs? Or octopus? Then this is for you. But don't worry, they also have lots of other stuff, from noodles to dumplings to traditional Korean pancakes, you'll find everything your heart desires. So give it a shot, you won't regret it.

Oh.. And the best part, they have the Lady from the Netflix documentation, who is known for her amazing noodles. All I can say is.. It is a pleasure and the noodles are bazoom (in a good way).

If you're up for more outdoor fun, take a look at the beautiful Temples in the city and indulge in the history of Korea or you can go to a library and cure you're readers heart with a good old book...

None of the books in the pictures are real tho (they are just decoration), but you can read the magazines downstairs to at least get a taste. Still.. go to a real library. The best thing for you and me, (if you're a shopping lover) is that Seoul has a variety of shopping malls and street vendors that tend to your fashion needs and help you to get rid of any type of fashion disaster (and your money included). Korean fashion is awesome, so go find your own.

What more can I say than visit Seoul or any part of Korea, cause it is a pleasure to see. The people are nice and helpful, there is beautiful architecture and everybody will find something for themselves. So go and experience your own adventure in this amazing country, you will learn so much about yourself (especially if you travel alone) and see yourself and others in a new light. After all, travel means freedom, right?
