Dwight Fairfield:

Dwight already feels nervous when people stare at him and even more so when it’s you. He’s always liked you and with you staring at him, eyes dark and mind elsewhere, it makes him nervous. He doesn’t call you out about it thought, continuing to work gens and trying to find the exit.

He can’t stop the embarrassed sound from escaping him when he turns and sees you right behind him, eyes locked on his ass. You startle and finally seem to snap out of it, looking at his face and eyes going wide. You quickly run off after that, refusing to look in his eyes and sputtering out a response. Dwight is quick to shake off the encounter, even if you’re both too embarrassed to look at each other for the next few trails.

Jeff Johansen:

Jeff has no idea you’re staring at him, honestly. He’s been focusing on avoiding the Hag and you’ve been tagging along with him, making gens a lot easier. He does notice that you’re quieter than normal but shakes it off; you’ve never been a fan of the Hag and he’s not going to force you to talk about it now.

You’re both turning a corner when he hears you let out a yell behind him. He turns just in time to watch you trip over the completed gen, landing face first in the dirt. Your face is a mix of shock, embarrassment and mounting panic as both of your heartbeats sky rocket. Jeff doesn’t stay to find out if you run, booking it in the other direction. He never does find out what has you so distracted…

Steve Harrington:

This really isn’t Steve’s trail. He’s been running from gen to gen, trying to get things done and every time he turns around Legion is there. He’s spent more time getting away then getting things done but it makes sense. Even if it sucks. The only saving grace is that you seem to be moving through things, cleansing totems and completing gens.

He’s just finished another loop when he sees you tucked into a corner, taking a breather. Steve slides up next to you, starling and almost making you bolt. As he starts to reassure you, your eyes go wide, staring at him like a deer in headlights. He has no idea what’s happening at first, trying to get your attention before noticing that you’re looking at his chest. His face goes red once he realizes that Legion had torn his shirt to shreds, leaving his nipples out and perky. He doesn’t have time to explain before you’re running off, Steve cursing his luck once again.

Leon Kennedy:

The trial starts like any other; all of you are running for your lives and the killer hot on your trail. This time it’s Nemesis and Leon is quick to make himself disappear. He already has enough bad memories, not to mention he’s disliked by the behemoth. You stick with him as the trail goes on, only leaving to try and be a distraction. It doesn’t stop Leon from getting hit and finding a place to limp off too.

He’s just finished a gen when you run past, slowing down when you see him limping. You shake your med kit at him and gesture to a corner, Leon happily following after you. He’s trying his best to stay quiet but moans and grunts keep leaving his mouth. Your eyes are focused on wrapping his arm but he can feel your fingers shaking and breathing speeding up. He lets out a sigh of relief once you finish, giving you a smile but frowning when he sees you practically sprint away. It’s only later when Jill laughs at him about it that he realizes what happened and gets embarrassed himself.

Background

Dead by Daylight is a notorious game known and loved by many around the gaming and horror communities. Many may know it due to the trends with Ghost Face and others may know it primarily from ads or recommendations. This game is overall phenomenal and if you're a fan of horror this might just be the game for you! The game consists of two sides, the killer and the survivors. There's one killer hunting up to four survivors who's jobs are to fix the generators all around the map to escape while also protecting and saving each other from the killers grasp. Currently there are 37 playable survivors including the well known Laurie Strode from the Halloween franchise, Cheryl Mason (Silent Hill), the beloved Leon Scott Kennedy (Resident Evil™) and lastly my personal favorite Dwight Fairfield (he's just there and he's great). As for killers there are 32 to choose from. Some of these killers are The Shape (Michael Myers), The Cannibal (Leatherface), The Nightmare (Freddy Krueger), The Pig (Amanda Young) and again my own favorite The Ghost Face. All characters have dynamic plots and different characteristics.

Throughout the matches players collect blood points that are spent on character upgrade/level ups. The further you get through the bloodweb (where your upgrades are) the stronger your character is capable of being and the more features you unlock. Throughout the bloodweb you also collect items which may help during matches, this includes med kits, offerings and much more. This game is very lore heavy if you're into a story line but you don't really have to follow it, there's information on each character and its all dynamically planned out through seasons of the game. It shows real storylines of the characters from already made movies, games, etc. and storylines of their own characters (Dwight). This game doesn't require you to know the lore but if you're someone into a good storyline definetely read into it!

Rating

Dead by Daylight is a fun game and I've had it for a few years. Unfortunately I can't play it consistently without getting bored of it for a while. It's good but repetitive in some aspects and the wait time for the lobbies is deadly. Literally. It takes really long to load into a game with others if you're in a solo queue so I suggest playing with at least a friend. Other than that if you're into horror and surviving games this will be right up your ally. ★★✰✰✰ Co-op Experience ★★★★✰ Scare (I get jump scared by the killers often) ★★★★✰ Lore/Content ★★★✰✰ Overall Gameplay

Final Thoughts

Buy it, don't buy it. This game isn't life changing but its one of the better games out there and overall I'd rate it at least a 7/10. Its not exceptional and as said earlier it gets a tad boring at least for me. If you need something to play it's still definetely a recommendation.

Full name is Dwight Kit Fairfield

Title is The Obsessed; his build works around the Obsession in a trial. If you aren't the obsession, you're his primary target.

Should the obsession die early or leave the trial somehow, he essentially throws in the towel in grief and frustration that he wasn't able to get his beloved. That being said, if you're the last one alive...well. He's going to make a move. He wants you all to himself. Should you reject him, you'll meet the same fate as your teammates. If you entertain his advances, well...I guess you'll just have to find out what happens, won't you?

His power builds the longer the Obsession stays alive in a trial. His terror radius invokes fear in a frenzy; you begin to panic just by being near him, frantic to escape, which makes his search for love nearly a paradox. His lust for blood increases with each death, meaning he becomes more powerful as well.

However, this means that seasoned survivors that figure out his motif will make it harder for him to get kills the more they encounter him - so the Entity has cut him some slack by giving him fresher survivors for his trials so he can still feed her adequately while feeding off of his despair in his endless search for love.

Between trials, any survivor he finds has the possibility of being his next love - and thus you'll have to deal with his loving stares and searches for affection, but you at least won't be under the influence of his terror radius, even in his domain. 

For the most part, he finds other killers attractive as well. He's desperate for connection and romance. If they're within reason, he will try to court a fellow killer. 

His outfit is always a white suit with black accents, even though it may change from time to time in exact style. He often carries a rose or wilted flowers and a black pocket knife.

His favorite survivor is Jake, hinting that he might have had a yearning for one when he was still a survivor. He will often be the most unhinged and desperate when around one. Jake will almost always be the obsession if he is present in a trial.

' fucking christ, dwight. ' relief floods their body, and for a second, they almost forget about the mess they've made. ' yeah, thank you very much for that, 'ppreciate it. ' breathe in. breathe out. you're okay. power through. before he can attempt to put his jacket back on, though, dwight is upon him, taking the first aid kit and gesturing for him to move out from the corner. instinct tells him to move to half-finished generator sitting in the center, push through pain and blood loss until he can't. his better judgement, however, makes him scoot closer to dwight, further into the light so companion can inspect the damage.

gentle hands ghost over wounds, paying close attention to the way jake's body tenses, quiet apologies barely audible over the whir of the generator. sitting this close, with the way fluorescents blink behind him, the way the shadows play on his face- it all makes dwight look that much more like a guardian angel. jake had joked, once, that only jesus christ himself could do dwight's job, but he feels there's some truth to that, to the near-sainthood of dwight fairfield.

' don't look at me like that. '

jake flinches, wide eyes blinking once, twice. had they been staring? it's hard not to. fondness is immediately masked by faux-confusion, ' like what? ' playing dumb as dwight returns his attention to wrapping weeping wounds. still, gaze tears away from the other, instead dropping back to his shoulder. the wound is already bleeding through the gauze. ' shit. you may as well leave it, ' words slur a bit, and jake shakes his head as though to clear it, ' 's gonna keep bleeding through. '

Polly shifts uncomfortably in her stays once more. They'd been adjusted to fit her almost perfectly, but she's still not used to the shape of the underwear, nor is she quite sure how to walk elegantly in the long gown that had been provided for her. Like all other guests, she had been kitted out with full historical regalia, her curls pinned up in a stylish coiffure, and a reference sheet of mannerisms expected of the young women to follow. The men had no doubt been given their own list, while nonbinary folk got a copy of both, to pick and choose from as they liked.

She stood in the middle of the room, gloved fingers playing with the edges of the paper. She was the first one here, having been determined to be on her best behavior from the moment she stepped off the carriage -- the real, horse drawn carriage! -- to now. When the second guest of the season entered, she turned towards them with an eager, if bashful, smile, and did her best to curtsy.

"Hiya," she said -- then flushed, remembering that women were meant to wait for a chaperone to introduce them before speaking. In an effort to correct herself, she stammered and began to ramble. "I'm Polly. Err -- Polly Fairfield?" She paused to double check the character name she'd been given on her reference sheet, and read off the summary. "Yes, ah. I'm the orphaned niece of Miss Loveheart, and I've come here in hopes of finding a better life for myself." It's the generic story, one of three given to anyone with the bronze-level package, but she's thrilled to be here all the same.
