I had a small little old magical girl anime kick, and so this happened; which is weird bc I never do digital art (motivation? tf is that?)-
So, I drew Honey from the 1973 Cutey Honey :] I'm so proud of how it turned out, and yeah, I DID color pick from screenshots of the anime (so my bad if it looks a little funky)
I won't lie, I didn't expect it turn out this nice, especially with screenshot I used for Honey Kisaragi (the colors looked a smidged washed out). I used the pose from the RE: Cutie Honey op for Cutie Honey (2nd pic) :>
I had so much fun doing this, it was a nice way to experiment with digital art; backgrounds, line art, COLORS. God I had so much fun w/ colors. Anyway- have a wonderful day/night :D
If I had a nickle for every anime adaptation of a Go Nagai manga produced in 2018 that had a scene of our protagonist hand feeding their queer best friend food I would have 2 nickles which isn't a lot but it's cute that it happened twice
(The cutie honey one was interrupted by lesbian intercourse and the devilman one was immediately followed up by them both jumping into a pool fully clothed)
Cutie Honey (2004) is worth watching just for scenes like this. The effects don't even come close to approaching anything resembling realism, which is why they ended up being so fun.
