Rdr2 Sleep Headcanons

I wrote these at like 3 am last night so they ain't great but eh, just tryna get back into writing headcanons n such.

Arthur:

•Really light sleeper

•Literally wakes up anytime he hears an out of place noise

•It is a wonder how he manages to do all the shit he does with how little rest he manages to get

*When he does get to sleep though, he snores pretty quietly and doesn't move much

•Tends not to sleep with a blanket since he runs hot

John:

•America's #1 blanket stealer

•Abigial wakes up in the middle of the night shivering meanwhile this dude is all cuddled up and cozy on the other side of the bed

•Says the most batshit things in his sleep

•Almost never remembers his dreams though

•He doesn't snore but he does move around a lot in his sleep, one time he woke up laying sideways on the bed

Charles:

•It takes him AWHILE to fall asleep, he just can't turn his brain off a lot of the time. Always thinking about something

•When he does get to sleep though he sleeps like a log, doesn't move much and pretty much stays asleep until morning

•Wakes up right before the sun rises without fail

Javier:

•He falls asleep pretty easily but wakes up a few times a night for water n stuff

•His hair looks like shit in the morning lmao he's gotta brush it right after he wakes up otherwise he looks like he's been through some shit

•Pretty vivid dreams, he has a lot of nightmares about his past but they don't phase him as much anymore

Kieren:

•Bro is stressed it takes him a long time to fall asleep, especially when he first joined the Van Der Linde gang

•After he gets to know everyone he probably sleeps a lot better, though still pretty fitful, prolly moves and twitches a lot

•He's probably fallen asleep with the horses before just cause he'd rather hang out with them as opposed to everyone else 💀

RDR2

My ranking of the Dutch Van Der Linde gang members.

Dutch Van Der Linde: 10/10. I honestly love Dutch. His character can make me so mad one minute, then sad the next. The writing for his character is outstanding and I feel for him so much even if he’s not the most honorable person there is.

Hosea Matthews: 9.5/10. Yes yes, I love Hosea as much as anyone and the only reason he’s not a 10/10 like Dutch is simply because of the fact that we get to see less of him throughout the game and his character was, unfortunately yet understandably, less developed than Dutch. Even still, he’s one of my absolute favorite characters.

Lenny Summers: 9/10. Lenny is amazing and his character always makes me smile. He’s smart, tough, and good hearted. What’s not to like? Bonus points for the saloon mission. LENNYYYY!!!

Josiah Trelawny: 6.5/10. I don’t DISLIKE him, but I never found him terribly interesting and his personality just wasn’t my favorite as far as narrative goes.

Sadie Adler: 7/10. I know everyone loves Sadie, and she’s a good character, but I never thought she was that amazing. Her personal story is great, and her transformation is outstanding, but her actual personality annoyed me a slight bit which is why she’s ranked a bit lower than some characters.

John Marston: 8/10. He’s pretty great and I love that they didn’t focus the game too heavily on him just for the sake of familiarity. His transformation throughout the game is pretty heartwarming and makes me smile.

Tilly Jackson: 8/10. She’s a bit underdeveloped but her personality is superb.

Charles Smith: 10/10. I cannot stress enough how much I love Charles. He’s just great, that’s all I can say.

Reverend Swanson: 5/10. Not a fan. He was always pestering me in camp >:(

Karen Jones: 7/10. I really liked her personality and felt very sorry for her as the game progressed.

Mary-Beth Gaskill: 8/10. She’s just so sweet and polite! I loved when I could talk to her because her view on things was one that I found so interesting and she was so different than most of the others in camp.

Micah Bell: 1/10. He’s easy to hate, that’s all he’s got going for him.

Abigail Roberts: 8/10. She’s a good momma and I genuinely enjoyed her overall personality.

Simon Pearson: 5/10. Sooooo boring.

Kieren: 8/10. So polite and I love how he took to the horses.

Molly O’Shea: 9/10. God her transformation made me so sad. She was wonderfully written and I felt for her so much.

Bill Williamson: 5/10. Didn’t really have an opinion on him. He wasn’t as dumb as everyone said he was, but he was still uninteresting.

Arthur Morgan ♾/10. Best protagonist in video game history. I was so enthralled in his journey and life. I felt like I knew him personally and that’s what every game should strive for in their protagonist.

Javier Escuella: 7/10. He’s pretty cool. A bit on the uninteresting side, but his personality is pretty likable.

Susan Grimshaw: 7.5/10. She made me laugh. She was so no-nonsense and I loved it. Such a mother goose.

Leopold Strauss: 1/10. He kinda creeped me out. Plus the whole what his business did to Arthur thing >:(

Sean Macquire: 8/10. Love his personality and energy, as well as Authur’s relationship with him.
