Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the signing into law of Title IX at the Richard Nixon Library alongside some of the greatest female athletes of all time. 🙌 Barbara Franklin was the MC today at a very special event. In 1971, while at the First National City Bank, Franklin was recruited by President Richard Nixon to bring more qualified women into high-level, policy-making government positions. Her appointment was part of a multi-pronged initiative by the Nixon administration following a press conference on February 6, 1969. Her involvement on the presidents staff ultimately led to the bipartisan vote which ushered in the passing of Title IX. ⭐️ Janet Evans is a world champion and world record-holder winning a total of four gold medals at the 1988 and the 1992 Olympics. She added today her most powerful Olympic memory was handing the Olympic torch flame off to Muhammad Ali while he lit 🔥 the torch at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. ⭐️ Kerri Walsh Jennings is an American professional beach volleyball player, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and a one-time Olympic bronze medalist. She is the beach volleyball leader in career victories as of 2016 having won 135 international and domestic tournaments. ⭐️ Courtney Mathewson is an American water polo player, part of the US team that won the gold medal at the 2012 London 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Olympics and a gold medal at the Rio 🇧🇷 Olympic Games. She played water polo for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins during their four-consecutive NCAA National Champion Women's Water Polo championships, and was named to the All-Tournament first team. @la28games @roworx_rowing #titleix @usrowing (at Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfK9vmurqeO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Further proof that (privileged) white people have absolutely positively no fucking idea what oppression is.
Kerri Walsh Jennings is just another selfish, ignorant, uninformed Karen who thinks there is no greater discrimination than face masks infringing on her “right” to have a poor person give her a haircut.
From the article:
None of these things, of course, is true. Wearing a mask is a basic safety measure that causes no harm to users and experts agree will mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic if widely adopted.
In July, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Robert Redfield said that if everyone wears masks “for the next four weeks, six weeks, we could drive this epidemic to the ground.”
Mandates by businesses and local governments to wear them don’t infringe on the U.S. Constitution.
