idk if ur still writing Outsider fics but if you do, i would DIE, i mean die begging on my knees for HCs of ur favs (Two, Darry + Steve and soda if your willing) of the reader flashing them during an argument idk why its so funny but man i think its hilarious and the boys’ reaction would be so funny
OMFG YESSSSS, I LOVE THIS. I'm doing the 'adults'. Which would be Darry, Twobit, Sodapop, and Steve. also mini stroy for each and headcannons because ive been so absent.
Warnings: implied sexual themes, steamy situations (nothing crazy)
Darry ( the actual love of my life).
~ “You dont ever think” he cuts in with a tired sigh, attempting to not raise his voice. “Darry, you gotta be fucking kidding me, I think more than anybody in this house there is no way your saying that to me”. “I am and I mean it, you need to be more careful and stop worrying–” you interrupt him quickly stepping closer to him and sticking as finger up. “Darrel Curtis don’t you raise your voice at me like im one of your siblings”. Darry groans loudly throwing his hands up obviously not letting this silly argument go easily. “I just wish you would—” you lift your shirt up flashing Darry silencing him immediately. Darry walks over to you his calloused hands sitting on your waist, “Darling this conversation isn’t over even when you try and distract me” he looks at you smugly with his eyebrows raised. You reply with the same smugness bringing a hand to the back of his neck to pull him inevitability closer, “worth a shot though”.
~ definitely doesn't let arguments go easily , but he definitely loves that mini distraction and some stress relief (ifykyk).
Steve Randle (Goofy ass mf)
“Steve I don’t know why this is a big deal to you honey” you say in a calm and settle voice trying to calm him down. To your dismay he is still not happy about the situation at all, “No you can’t just throw stuff out like that, what if I still wanted it? Then what?”. You rub your hands down your face unamused by his ridiculous behavior, “Steve that shit has been sitting out for days now, I would’nt of let you eat it anyways”. Steve starts pacing back and forth in the kitchen thinking of something to say to “win”, then a new idea comes to mind which will end this banter once and for all. “Are you still mad Steve?”, he turns around abruptly “of course im still mad—”. Your shirt is lifted up giving Steve a good view for a few more seconds before you drop the fabric down, “how about now?”. Steves lips are parted still looking in the same direction where your breasts were once on full display, he glances up, “what you say baby?”. “Come here Steve”, Steve walks over his hands grabbing your face about to kiss your lips, “I’ll make you more ok?”. Steve pecks your lips a few times before replying, “Ok baby”.
~ he will probably purposely start arguments so you can flash him more often, obviously you'll catch on and ignore his attempts.
Dallas Winston (mama im in love with a criminal)
Dally pulled you into his room at Buck’s obviously pissed over a encounter downstairs. “Why the fuck didn’t you call me over, I could’ve easily handled that fucker” he says holding onto your wrist you guys nearly face to face. You pull back from him forcing him to release the grip he had on you, “He was just having  a conversation with me Dallas. Whats your problem?”. Dally runs his fingers through his hair while backing up instinctively, “ That motherfucker was practically undressing you with his eyes. Let me see him even glance at you again I swear y/n”. Dally turns around and slams his hands on his dresser with his head down. Your fed up, Dally is fed up why not end this right now, you walk up behind him and tap his shoulder. “What?” he says still not looking at you, quickly you throw off your shirt as well as your bra, “Dally can you look at me baby?”. Dally sighs but complies none-the-less, a smirk graces his face beautifully as his hands make contact with your chest. “Trying to cheer me up doll?” you kiss him deeply making Dally stumble back a little. “Im always yours Dally not some random guy”.
~ poor thing is always so jealous and protective over his girl.
Sodapop Curtis ( I want to be that towel)
You canceled plans on Soda, work asked you to stay late, the more hours the better especially because some of that money is going toward Sodas family. You walk into the empty Curtis house where only the shower is running, Sodas clothes are laid on the couch. You sigh and drop your bag down, taking off your shoes and getting into comfier clothes. The water stops running, you walk over to the door and knock on it softly, “Soda? Can I talk to you honey?”. The bathroom door opens showcasing Soda with just a towel wrapped around his waist, “Sure hopefully you wont cancel our conversation next”. He walks past you and into his room rifling through his drawers for socks and a pair of boxers, you tread behind him leaning on the door frame. “I took the extra hours so I could help you and your family” Soda groans because he knows he shouldnt be upset over it. “I know but I can still be disappointed, we havent been able to be alone for weeks now”. You smile lifting your shirt over your head about to ask him to turn around, “Come on Soda can you at least look at me?” you say walking up closer to him. Soda turns around sighing, his eyes widens and he stutters over his words a little at the surprise, “Baby, you look..gorgeous”. Soda hold you by the sides and smiles, “Wanna spend some alone time with me y/n?”.
~Sodapop definitely values quality time

Two-Bit Mathews has been explained to always put his two bits in a conversation, and the wise cracker of the Greaser gangs. However, when he met you, he's sure you ate him up and threw his brains and voice-box out of the window. You're sitting at the lunch table, chewing on whatever school food was made that day, with your jockey friends. He was warned about that group by Johnny and Ponyboy, how they always tried to take down Greasers that roamed the school.
However, Johnny mentioned how you were in his English and Chemistry class, and how you defended him a couple times after one of your “friends” picked on Johnny. People could've sworn all of the mischief and constant seek for danger left his eyes that day. Now, it was filled with adoration and wanting to find out about the boy he fell in love with that day.
Two-Bit immediately begins his venture of messing with you. Your friends stuck up for you, ending up with some bruised lips and eyes out of school grounds. However, on those particularly hard days, you stayed back with Keith and picked him up for running back to your friends. God, did that send him further back into the constant need to feel his hands on his face again.
Finally, he caught you alone, sitting away from people at the drive in theater. Two-Bit rubs his hands together and walks over to you, flipping up his leather jacket up further his neck: you're not sure how, but he figures out how to. He slides in the seat next to you, but you keep your eyes on the beach movie in front of you. “What are you doing around here? Where are you little Soc-y friends huh?” You turn your head at his words, and can't help but feel a little cheesy as him. He's puckering his lips out and smiling at you.
“They’re drinking and stuff. I actually wanna get home tonight.” You mumbled, head sitting on your fist as your attention falls back to the movie. Two-Bit slides back closer into you, arm wrapping around your shoulder and his hand rests. “Oh yeah? Need a ride home then? I can walk you.” You turn your head to look at him, with his hair greased enough to let a car slide on top and his eyes staring into yours. “Nah, I'm fine. I can just walk.” The Letterman jacket you're wearing suddenly feels too warm for the night and you pull it off.
Two-Bit is still there, arm wrapped around you. “You can’t walk round’ here.. lemme walk you home.” Two-Bit is almost begging to you, and he sits his head in your lap to look at you. You can't help but feel your cheeks warm at the sight of him. He smells like smoke and beer, but for some reason, it pulls you in deeper. “C’mon baby. I don't bite..” That's the sentence that started everything, that started the endless secret nights of holding and everything that you always needed and what you dreamed of.
You had to keep everything on the down low, your parents especially could not find out about Two-Bit and yours relationship. So, it ended with sneaking around past doors and out of windows, or holding hands under tables and interlocked pinkies. You couldn't lie and say the adrenaline rush wasn't absolutely amazing, after the constant things happening with the same business conversations or what football team won that week.
Two-Bit made your life ten times better than usual, but always incidentally, people find out about everything.
Two-Bit decided to take you out to a picnic and you were absolutely so excited. You wore your best Madra and jeans and you did your hair the way you knew Two-Bit liked it. He picked you up at your front door, and he and your father had a conversation. Two-Bit said he was giving you a ride to a football meeting, and surprisingly, your dad believed him. It was surprising to you for the fact that Keith was successfully able to lie to your parents.
Keith takes your arm and starts walking with you. His hands are in his jacket and he's talking about school and the gang. “I missed hanging out with you. Ever since the rumble everything's been so tight. The guys, man, they wont let me even look at a Greaser without getting my ass kicked.” Two-Bit straightens up and his arm wraps around your waist. “I know, Dally almost ripped my head off a couple days ago cause of it. I went out to see you, and man, was he mad.” You smile at the thought of Two trying to see you when he knows the circumstances between Greasers and Socs.
“I wish we could tell people, y'know. I wanna be able to do stuff with you in school.” Two-Bit nods and slips his pinky into yours. “Me too.” Two-Bit responds, gently cradling your hand in his and giving it a small kiss. “You’re the best thing that's ever been mine, and one day, I swear everyone will know.” That gives you a sense of relaxation as you lay your head on Two-Bit’s shoulder.
The moment is sweet and gentle, and you stare between your feet on the ground or the stars that collide against the dark sky. That was one of your favorite nights with Two-Bit, no matter how many more you shared, that night will always be etched in your memory forever. The way he held you and the way he told you that everyone would know.
The next day at school, it hurt to not hold him or even speak to him. Two-Bit didn't care however, and would still continue to talk to you and be around you at all times. It worried you and if the chance your friends found out, you would be torn apart quicker than you could even yell. Whenever Two-Bit tried to walk you home, you didn't even realize one of your friends had been traveling far behind and you decided to hold Keith's hand in yours and let him give you a soft kiss against your cheek.
At some point, your friend sped up and slammed his hand on Two-Bit’s shoulder and slammed him onto the ground. You yelled out Two-Bit’s name as your “friend” threw a punch against Keith's face. You pulled Two-Bit away from the fight and told him to go away. Your friend is standing there, holding his fist, and he's huffing in breaths. “What the fuck was that?” You asked and your friend looked up at you. “The Greasers need to get away, always being in your business, man. We're buds, we gotta protect each other.”
You stared at him like he was speaking a different language. “So, your thought to protect me, someone who is fully capable of getting someone away, is to throw them on the ground?” However you're sure your friend is more confused than you are and grumbles before walking away. “Man, sorry, I just lost it. But, don't tell anyone, I'm with Two-Bit. We're.. dating.” That makes your friend stop walking and turn to look at you. “Aw shit man. I'm sorry too, I should've let you handle it if anything was happening. So.. you're like gay?” The word almost burns, but you know he's just trying to figure it out. You nod at him and he gives you a soft smile.
“I won't tell anyone, your secrets are safe with me.” You smile at your friend after he reassures you. You hug him and he smacks your back. “See you at football practice next week.” Now, it was time to find wherever your boyfriend had ran off too. Eventually, you find Two-Bit, he's wiping the blood off of his nose and you can see him angrily rubbing tears off his face. “Two, hey honey.” You sit down next to him and pull his hands away from his face.
“Dickhead hit me right in the nose.” He huffs out and he lets you hold his handkerchief to his nose. You frown at him and give him a tight hug and he tenses up. “He apologized. It's just... we're all protective of each other. Just like how you are with Johnny.” You pull away from the hug and Two-Bit has a soft smile on his face. “I just, I really wish we could be more open,”
You sigh and give Two-Bit a soft kiss on his forehead. “I know, soon.” He hugs you once more and lays on your shoulder. “Thanks for fighting him.” You laugh with Two-Bit as he runs his thumb over your knuckles. “Always, I would fight everyone for you, I’ve done it before.”

"hey, soda," i say, rubbing his back. we've been working on pony and johnny's missing posters for the past two hours. darry's on the phone trying to get any information on where his younger brother disappeared to.
"mm. hey y/n."
"maybe you should take a break, honey," i try, gently taking the pen from his shaking hands. he snatches it back and scratches pony's name on yet another paper.
"soda, please—"
"no, y/n. i won't stop until we find him." his voice cracks. tears falling onto the paper.
"soda, honey, im trying to help..."
"Well, you're not," soda snaps, continuing to write as much information on the missing posters.
"i'm trying to help," i repeat. "two-bit said—"
"two-bit doesn't know shit!" soda yells. darry stands in the kitchen, solemn as he watches us two argue. "no way in hells keith motherfucking mathews knows where ponyboy and johnny went."
he gets up and slams his hands down on the table. "sometimes you're real thick, aren't ya, sweetie?" he scoffs. "two wouldn't know tulsa from texas if he stood at the border."
"hey, don't you insult my brother, sodapop curtis." i point a trembling finger at him. tears well up in my eyes.
"well, maybe you shouldn't 'help' me find mine," he bites back. "you're just distracting me, matthews. pony is the most important thing in my life okay?" his voice cracks. "he's my best friend."
"i know, and i'm your lover. i just want to hel—"
"no! you're not helping, bitch," he screams.
silence as he realizes what he just called me.
"n/n, i'm sor—"
i walk right up to his movie-star handsome ass and shove him onto the couch. "i'm a bitch now? jeez, thanks. we're fucking done, sodapop."
"wait— babe—"
i throw his flannel out onto the coffee table as i walk out of the curtis house. soda doesn't follow.
tears slip down my cheeks, and more well up inside to replace the fallen ones. i look up at the stars; they bleed light, blurred by the sadness.
—three weeks later.
Tumblr media
molly needs someone to take her to the park and i have homework, so i sigh and push myself up off the kitchen bar stool. "c'mon, molls."
"where are we goin'?" my younger sister asks, grabbing my hand as we exit our house.
Tumblr media
for the first time since the bitch incident, i knock on the door to the curtis house.
pony opens up and launches himself at me in a hug.
"oh, fuck, pony! you're back!" i say, dropping molly's hand. she giggles and repeats, "fuck!"
"no- molly-" i say, realizing my mistake as she runs inside the house and into two's lap.
"hey, molls," he laughs. "hey, y/n."
"hey... y/n.."
fucking hell. of course i had to run into soda. i thought he'd be working.
"sodapop." i nod. "two, molls wants to go to the park, and i have homework."
two nods, letting molly eat a piece of chocolate cake off the plate in front of him as the two watch some cartoon.
"i'll take her in a few," he replies.
"hey, n/n, can i talk to you?" soda asks quietly.
"i- fine." i follow him back to his room, where we spent so many nights curled up together under a blanket, laughing and smiling.
neither of us are smiling now.
as he shuts the door, he starts to sniffle and pulls me into a bone-crushing hug. "im sorry, im so sorry," he cries.
fuck. wrapping my arms around him tighter, i feel the tears that made the stars bleed well up again. "i love you, soda. i'm sorry."
"what're you sorry for," he laughs, pulling away and wiping his tears away. his hand flies to my face and his thumbs wipe under my eyes.
"you know," i chide, grinning.
"cuddle?" he asks, leading me over to his bed.
"thought you'd never ask, honey."
Tumblr media
"so wait are we dating again or . . . ?"
i kiss him. "does that answer your question?"
he ponders the thought for a moment before going, "hmm. not sure. the results were inconclusive, so maybe we should conduct a few more experiments," he smiles. i laugh as i push my lips against his.
that night, as he walks me home, i look up at the stars.
they aren't bleeding anymore.

Two-Bit Mathews x Reader
Summary: You catch your boyfriend doing 'it' with another girl. You flee to the safety of your old friend, Darry, meeting another boy. You two hit it off and the night leads to you waking up in Two-Bit's arms.
Warnings: MDNI, smut, p in v, oral (fem receiving), unprotected sex, cheating
You had been dating your boyfriend for 2 months; today was your 2 month anniversary. You entered his house with a new coat and some chocolates for him. You took off your shoes gently.
"Hello?" You called into the seemingly empty house. You heard a thump come from upstairs. You frown. You call his name as you head up the stairs and into the room. Your heart drops.
He had another girl, doggy position, and he was pounding into her from behind.
"This is the b-best pussy I had." He moans to the girl, not noticing you. The coat in your arms falls to the ground, and he spins his head around.
"S-shit! Y/N!" He says, quickly pushing the girl away from him. The girl looks at you, then back at him.
"You asshole!" The girls says, pushing him and gathering her clothes. The girl follows you out of the house.
"Hey, I'm sorry. He told me he was single." She says, quietly. You could tell she felt bad.
"It's fine. He was a jerk to me anyways." You lie. The truth was, you really loved him, and he was really sweet.
But you couldn't be with him after seeing that.
>>>><<<<
You knock on the door to an old friend's house. Darry. He had done a roofing job for your parents, and you had kept him company. You still talked on the phone every week, just not too much anymore.
You had always gone to him with any problems.
As Darry opened the door with a smile, it quickly faded as he sees your tear stained face.
"Hey, hey, come on. Tell me what happened." He says as you fling yourself into his arms and sob into his shoulder. He guides you into the living room and you sit at the couch.
One of the brothers; Soda, you think it is; enters and gives you a glass of water.
"T-thanks." You mutter. He nods.
"What's wrong?" Darry asks, sitting next to you.
"Today is my boyfriend and I's anniversary, and I arrive at his house to give him a gift, and he was f-fucking another girl!" I say, starting to sob again. Darry sighs, hugging you from the side.
He pats your head, rubbing your back gently.
"It's OK. You're going to be alright." He soothes you.
"DARRY! DARRY! I GOT A NEW JOK-" Someone- a boy- yells, stopping abruptly when he sees Darry and you.
"Boy, Dar, you didn't tell me you got a girl!" Two-Bit says, laughing.
Darry glares at him, as you look at him. You two make eye contact.
"And she's pretty, too!" The boy says with a smile, holding out his hand.
"I'm Keith." He says. You take his hand and shake it.
"Hi. I'm y/n." You respond, smiling back. Your tears had vanished. Keith just radiated joy, and he made you feel better.
"You want to go get some ice cream? Ice cream always makes me feel better." He says, pulling you off the couch and onto your feet.
"Sure," you say. "Thanks again, Darry." Darry nods with a smile.
>>>><<<<
"Strawberry, please." You say, pulling out your wallet. Keith's hand pushes yours away.
"My treat." He says. The lady behind the counter hands you your ice cream.
"Who will be paying?" She asks. Keith reaches to his pocket.
"My wallet is right...." He starts.
"HERE!" He yells, bringing up his middle finger. Your jaw drops as Keith grabs your wrist and runs out of the store. You don't stop running until you've reached an old park. Keith doubles over laughing, and you start to laugh with him, noticing that your ice cream must have fallen along the way.
You start laughing so hard that you collapse into Keith's arms, tears pouring down your face.
"God!" You say, breathing heavily. You look at Keith, and he smiles at you. You laugh. You guys keep eye contact for a couple more seconds until he cups your face in brings it up to his. He pauses, waiting for you to tell him to stop, but you don't. And all of a sudden his lips are on yours. His hands tangle in your hair, and yours rest on the back of his neck. He pulls on your hair, just a bit, causing you to let out a small moan.
His tongue swipes your bottom lip, and you open your mouth, Keith's tongue clashing against yours. He groans as you pull him closer.
You finally pull away, a string of saliva connecting your mouths. You grab his hand and rush to your house, which happened to be only a block away. You fumble with the keys as you slip it in the lock, twisting. You pull Keith inside and the second the door is closed he has you up against the wall, his mouth on yours.
You grind into his crotch, and he groans, squeezing your ass. You pull him over to the couch and push him down. His eyes are clouded with lust. You start unbuckling his belt but he stops you.
"This day is about you." He says, pushing you back and pulling your jeans and panties off in one swift motion. He moans at the sight of your glistening pussy, running one finger gently over the mess of arousal.
"Keith..." You moan. You quickly take off your hoodie, and you unclasp your bra. Keith moans again, laying his tongue flat on your pulsing bud.
"Fuck!" You moan, throwing your head back. Keith grips your thighs, pulling them farther apart. He flicks his tongue and runs it through your folds.
"You taste amazing, baby. That guy was stupid." He says, referring to your boyfriend. As his tongue finds your hole, his fingers enter you as well, stretching you out.
"Keith! D-don't stop!" You moan.
"Don't plan on it, princess." He says. Soon, your cum starts leaking out of you, and Keith sits up, a mixture of arousal, saliva and cum on his face. You giggle. He smiles and wipes it off with the bottom of his shirt. He smashes his lips against yours, sitting you up to straddle him. He lifts his hips up and pulls his jeans off along with his boxers. You lift his shirt over his head.
"Want you to ride me, a'ight?" Keith says, caressing the small of your back. You nod, lifting yourself up, hovering over his dick. You sink down slowly, and Keith throws his head back.
You move back and forth slowly, adjusting to Keith's large size. You begin to go faster, and Keith grasps your waist, helping you gain more friction.
"S-so tight, princess." Keith moans, his tongue licking stripes up your neck. He begins to suck hickeys into your breasts. You start moving up and down. Keith was thrusting up into you, to meet your grinds.
His hands cup your ass, and you moan as he hits a new spot inside of you.
He flips you over and starts pounding into you. His chain was dangling in your face and you captured it in your mouth, sucking on it. He lets you for a bit, but then replaces it with 2 of his fingers. You suck on the digits, coating them in saliva.
"Who's making you feel t-this good, princess?" Keith asks you, his hips pistoning into you at an alarming rate.
"Y-you" You manage to moan out.
"Yeah, baby. N-not that fuck ass boyfriend of y-yours." Keith says.
"I'm so close" He moans, his thrusts getting sloppier each thrust.
"Cum in my mouth." You say. He nods, thrusting a bit more before pulling out and placing his tip inside your lips, releasing inside of your mouth. You swallow it all, no hesitation.
The door swings open, and in comes your boyfriend.
"Y/N, please-" He starts, then he sees you.
"What the fuck!" He yells, covering his eyes. Keith smirks, dressing himself. You lie on the couch.
Your boyfriend turns back around, just to get a face full of fist from Keith.
"That's what you get for cheating on the prettiest girl in all of Tulsa." Keith says as blood spurts out of your boyfriends nose- or, rather, your old boyfriend.
"Be mine?" Keith asks, helping you walk to the bathroom. You nod and smile, kissing him gently.

YOU’RE SITTING IN YOUR BEST FRIEND, cherry valance’s red pontiac bonneville at the drive-in, doubling over in laughter by the remarks about the movie made by your friends in the backseat. it’s late, and you’re only slightly aware of the time on the light pink watch on cherry’s wrist ticking closer to your curfew, and you’re sure your parents on the west side would worry; that is, if they aren’t too engrossed in their wine to care.
and if someone asked, you wouldn’t be able to recall the name of the movie you were seeing right now, even if your life depended on it, too busy laughing at marcia sitting in the backseat.
“marcia, shut up, you’re going to make us miss the movie,” cherry said with a laugh; cherry always snorted when she laughed too hard.
you laughed, “i think we already have missed the movie—do any of you have any idea what we were supposed to see?”
“well, ladies, i think i can enlighten you on that,” came a voice from your left of the car. there stood two-bit mathews in the moonlight, mostly sober. at least, you think.
you had seen him around school, but you’d never really interacted, considering your social classes differed and your parents were sticklers for appearances. you remembered he was funny, almost lightning quick at making the entire class burst into laughter a multitude of times; you think you might share a class or two with him.
you grinned up at him, a teasing lilt to your tone, “thanks for the gracious offer, but i think we can handle ourselves.”
he raised an eyebrow, “for real? go on then, i’m listening.” he grins at your hesitance, “c’mon, lay it on me.”
your confident facade melted as you spoke, “well, it was something about temperature, i’m pretty sure.”
marcia mumbled her agreement. cherry was uncharacteristically quiet.
two-bit laughed, “shoot, baby, you almost got the name right.”
you ignore the skip in your heartbeat at the term of affection, pointedly rolling your eyes, “if you’re such a smartass, then you can explain it.”
at this point, cherry and marcia are no longer interested in your discourse with two-bit, having started their own conversation a little while ago.
“it’s a shocker, really, would you mind doing a little drumroll before i spoil it?” he joked.
“c’mon, it can’t be that bad—”
two-bit deadpanned, “it’s about burning books.”
“no way, you gotta be fucking with me,” you say in disbelief. it’s a stupid idea to make a movie on, you think. “what a waste of cash,” you groan.
“i snuck in,” he shrugged with a grin, “anyways, whatcha so decked up for, you goin’ on a date or sum after?”
“nah, as hard as it is to believe, cause we both know i’m hot, i don’t have a date.”
“shame for you, but that’s good for me at least.”
at your surprised look, he laughs, “i can take you out for the date you’re missing.”
you hesitate for a second, considering it, but in the end, you’ve got nothing to lose, really, so you shrug and tell two-bit, who’s grinning at you expectantly, “sure?”
before you can get out of the car, you’re met with cherry’s incredulous expression.
“excuse us for a sec,” cherry says sweetly to two-bit, who shrugs and walks a little away from the car.
with the look she’s giving you right now, you think if looks could kill, you’d be dead on the spot.
“c’mon, cherry, what’s the problem? she finally scored a date, and he’s fun,” marcia interjected, giving you a discreet wink.
cherry scoffed and turned to you, “i just want you to be careful, okay? it’s past your curfew, your parents are gonna kill you when you get home, and the idea of perfect little you going out with a greaser's gonna be icing on the cake.”
“my parents can take their opinions and shove it up their asses, for all i care.”
marcia and cherry laughed, cherry spoke, matter-of-factly, “understandable but come back here after your date, we’ll drop you off at your house, okay?”
“i know your mother won’t say shit with me in the car, she likes me, for some weird reason,” marcia smirked.
“okay, mother,” you saluted her before climbing out of the car and walking towards two-bit.
he grinned as you approached him.
“let’s go to a diner, i’m starving,” you suggest, noticing your stomach protesting from the lack of food. popcorn and coke didn’t count as real food, delicious as they might be.
“whatever you say, baby,” he winked at you and you laughed.
the walk to the diner, which was a couple streets away from the drive-in, was filled with laughter as you and two-bit engaged in a conversation that would’ve seemed absurd to any one of your girl-friends.
your date went smoothly, there was never an uncomfortable silence or awkward moment and you did enjoy yourself. as you’re leaving the diner, you can’t help but wish for the night to go on for longer, just so you could stay out, laughing with two-bit.
before you near cherry’s car, which wasn’t hard to miss because of the bright red color, you stop and turn to two-bit.
“i had a great time,” you tell him honestly, linking your fingers together behind your back.
“so, does that mean i can get your number?”
you blinked, slightly taken aback, but smiled broadly at him, “yeah, wait lemme write it down for you.” after searching for a pen and a scrap of paper from inside your purse, you hand him the piece of paper, and he pocketed it.
“you better call me, otherwise, i’ll come looking for you,” you threaten him with a smile.
two-bit laughed, “that doesn’t sound too bad, i think i’ll risk it just for the chance of a pretty girl chasing after me.”
you groaned, swatting his shoulder, “be serious, asshole.”
he raised his hands in the air, “okay, okay, i’ll call you, no need to get so worked up, baby.”

Darcy’s Brownies
summary: a two-bit x reader fic: the reader is babysitting Darcy. Two-Bit’s younger sister. What will happen when they don’t have any eggs? Very mysterious indeed.
warnings: none, fluff
A/N: hi hi hi. so i SCOURED the internet to see if Two-Bit’s sister was ever given a name... and i found nothing. SO i took matters into my own hands and named her Darcy because that’s a cute name, but i failed to realize that the names Darcy and Darry look awfully similar so sorry if that’s confusing i didn’t mean to do that :// ANYWAYS this is cute i hope you enjoy (lmk if i should make a part 2????)))
Tumblr media
You drove slowly down the unpaved road, trying to avoid all the potholes and pebbles that made your coffee slosh through the interior of your already worn-in car. The hot liquid continued to scald your leg and stain your seats until finally you reached the Mathews’ house. You parked at the curb, rolled down your window, and took the mug from your cup holder to pour the leftover coffee into the street. Good riddance.
After setting the mug back in your car, you turned off the engine and made your way to the family’s front door. Ms. Mathews was the greatest woman you’d ever met: her smile lit up a room and she was full of love to share with anybody she met. The two of you had known eachother for about three years, ever since you started babysitting for her daughter Darcy. When you first watched Darcy she was barely five years old and you were a mere 15, now she was almost nine and you were a legal adult. The two of you had spent almost every day together for the past three years, and you’d been around for as long as she could remember. Ms. Mathews works long hours and isn’t around to watch Darcy most of the time, so you look after her. Her son Keith was your age too, and for almost a year you wondered why he didn’t just watch his sister. It wasn’t until later on that you realized you never saw him at home, and when you did see him out he was flipping a girl’s skirt up or chugging a beer.
Darcy and you got along great. The bond you’d formed with eachother was sisterly, except the two of you never argued like sisters do. She was smart and funnier than any kid you’d seen before; when you introduced her to your sophomore year boyfriend, she sized him up and then motioned for you to bend down to her level, “you can do better,” she’d whispered into your ear. The both of you burst into laughter and the boy walked out of the house. He never did speak to you after that, guess it’s for the best if his ego was that bruised by a six year old. Moral of the story: Darcy knows best.
Ms. Mathews spent the first six months begging you to let her pay you for watching Darcy, but there really was no need. First off, her daughter was fantastic company. Secondly, she lets you spend the nights at her home when she worked late shifts. She lets you use her tv and eat her food for lunch. That was payment enough, and you were forever grateful that you’d landed such an amazing job with such an amazing family.
Now there you were, walking through the front door of the familiar home and being welcomed by a bear hug from Darcy.
“Y/n!” She exclaimed as she always did, “Look what I made you!” Her tiny hands held out a picture that she’d drawn, a portrait of the two of you that looked too good to have been done by a second grader. You looked at the art in admiration before smiling up at her brightly and wrapping her in another embrace.
“This is amazing, did your mom draw this?” You knew that Darcy had done it, but looked between her Ms. Mathews anyways.
“Wasn’t me.” Ms. Mathews held her hands up in fake surrender and turned to face the door, “I’ll see you guys after work, okay? Love y’all.”
You all said your goodbyes before you and Darcy hurried to the kitchen to make your famous cinnamon-sugar toast. You grabbed a piece of bread for each of you and cooked them like you always did: Darcy liked hers crunchy and you liked yours soft.
After breakfast, Darcy proposed that the two of you make brownies, and of course you agreed. She helped you find the recipe and get all of the ingredients out. She stood on her tip-toes at the counter, halfway through adding the wet ingredients to the bowl before her eyes widened and she dramatically gasped. You turned around quickly, afraid that she had hurt herself.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, scanning her body for any sign of injury.
“We don’t have any eggs!” Darcy cried. As mature as she was, you thought you saw tears forming in her eyes.
“Awe, no worries sweet girl,” You consoled. “We can just run up to the DX and grab some eggs, they have them there don’t they?”
“I don’t know, can we go check?” Before you had time to answer, Darcy was already running off to her room to grab her shoes.
Once you had covered the bowl of already-mixed ingredients and Darcy slipped her shoes on, the two of you headed outside. She raced you to the car and quickly put her seatbelt on, eager to get back to the brownies.
“It smells like coffee in here,” Darcy scrunched her nose in distaste.
“Oh hush,” You nudged her shoulder and turned up the radio, riding in peaceful silence to the DX.
You arrived in just a few minutes and parked right outside the station. On your way in you play fought with Darcy and picked her up abruptly, pretending to drop her as she erupted in a fit of giggles. You set her on her feet as you neared the store’s entrance, but her fit of laughter hadn’t died down at all. She pushed the door open and the two of you caught the attention of the boy standing behind the counter who had been chatting up another customer before Darcy’s insane laughter distracted him. This made you start laughing too, which in turn fueled Darcy to turn around and laugh louder. You brought your hand up to your mouth and tried to stop, but Darcy was a lost cause. After another minute of the laughing, she calmed down enough to start looking for eggs. She hummed a song as she studied all of the shelves she passed. While you were in front of the refrigerated foods, two boys your age passed in front of y’all, leaving behind a stink of beer and smoke.
“Keith!” Darcy yelled and ran to embrace the blonde-haired boy. It wasn’t until after she called his name that you realized it was her brother, Keith Mathews. He turned around and smiled brightly at her, lifting her and playfully dancing around. You stood back and adoringly watched her play with her brother. You hadn’t seen much of him before, he was never around the house anyway. Now you could see that he had his mom’s smile and Darcy’s extroverted energy. Meanwhile his friend rolled his eyes and kept walking to talk to the boy at the counter and buy a pack of Kools. It seemed like they were friends, but you couldn’t quite put together why. All three of them had such different personalities: Keith was fun and light-hearted, the DX worker had kind eyes and seemed social, and the lanky boy who walked in with Keith was just a buzzkill.
Keith, still holding Darcy, made his way to the cashier too. He set her on the counter and began talking to the other boys. Darcy was swinging her feet until one of her shoes flew off and landed in the middle of the store. The boys didn’t seem to notice, but Darcy sure did.
“Y/n, my shoe,” She said from her spot on top of the counter. A flush rose to your face as her words drew the boys’ attention onto you. You weren’t flustered, just embarrassed by the unwarranted stares. Their eyes all followed you as you retrieved her shoe and helped her slip it back on. “Thanks, let’s get the eggs now.” Darcy spoke before jumping off of the counter and into your arms. You snickered and caught her, flipping her upside down as you walked back to the fridge.
“Any eggs down there?” You teased, earning a loud laughter from Darcy and a chuckle from Keith.
“I don’t see any,” Darcy looked up at you and her face was beet red from hanging upside down, but she was still giggling away.
“What about up here?” You heard someone call from behind you before Darcy was snatched from your arms. Keith now stood right next to you, carrying Darcy on his shoulder with a huge grin while she pretended to look on the ceiling for the eggs.
“Oh there they are!” Darcy excitedly pointed down at the shelf were the eggs sat. “Set me down,” She patted Keith’s hair and as soon as he put her back on the ground she ran off to the eggs. You and Keith stopped where you were and let her go get them by herself.
“She talks about you a lot, you know,” Keith said quietly. “I think that she thinks you’re her actual sister. Anyway, Im just saying thank you, for being her sister.” He said kindly. This was the first time he’d spoken to you when he wasn’t drunk, and you appreciated it.
“Thank you, really,” You said to him as Darcy carefully approached you with a carton of eggs in her grasp. You laughed and took it from her, “We’ll save you a brownie.” You said to Keith.
“Yeah!” Darcy hugged him again before tugging at the hem of your shirt, “We need to get home and finish making them.”
“Alright, maybe I could help too?” Keith looked at you, asking with his eyes if it was okay for him to tag along.
“Yeah of course!” You exclaimed, handing him the carton of eggs. He grinned from ear to ear and watched as Darcy jumped up and down cheering.
“Alright, I’ll go pay real quick and then we can get out of here,” He said before leaving to check out at the counter. While he was checking out, you noticed the DX boy grinning proudly at Keith, probably because he was going to spend some time with his sister. The other boy didn’t have such a positive reaction to the family bonding moment. He hit Keith in the side and his face was angry. You felt bad, they probably already had plans for today before he decided to break away and join the baking squad, but he’s the one who made the decision to join y’all. Keith exchanged a few words with him and finished paying, wearing a bright smile as he held the eggs and motioned for Darcy and you to leave with him.

75. The 1989 off season --- The 1990 USFL draft.
A new draft order, a new draft…
The new USFL leadership would decide that the draft order should be based on a different metric than the NFL draft.
They decided that the two teams in the championship game should have the last ordered slot. Just ahead of them, the division champions should chose.  Before them, the wild card teams, and before them, the teams that missed the playoffs.  They argued the case to the owners and the owners agreed.
The league again agreed to a pre-draft “shadow draft” where teams would be free to negotiate with players to check to see how viable drafting them would be. This time each USFL team would have half the business day to contact player agents and test the water before the next team.
Several agents got wise to the USFL’s tactics and suggested their players would be very receptive to signing early with the upshot league. What became apparent to USFL teams is that players they ranked as end of the first round picks were anticipating USFL signing of higher ranked players to push them 10-15 spots higher in the NFL draft to a position where the NFL was paying them at dramatically higher rates than they had 3 years prior.
1. Portland Junior Seau LB USC 2. Milwaukee Cortez Kennedy DT Miami 3. Baltimore Blaire Thomas RB Penn State 4. Sacramento Mark Carrier S USC 5. Pittsburgh Maulers Jeff George QB Illinois 6. Birmingham Stallions Keith McCants LB Alabama 7. Michigan Panthers Percy Snow MLB Michigan State 8. Carolina Skyhawks Ray Agnew DE N. Carolina 9. Orlando Thunder Emmitt Smith RB Florida 10. Atlanta Tribe Richmond Webb T Texas A&M 11. Jacksonville Bulls Anthony Smith DE Arizona 12. San Antonio Gunslingers James Francis LB Baylor 13. The Hawaiians James Williams CB Fresno State 14. Arizona Wranglers Chris Singleton LB Arizona 15. x-New York Generals (from Philadelphia Stars) Rob Carpenter WR Syracuse 16. Houston Gamblers (from Denver Gold) Lamar Lathon, LB Houston 17. Tampa Bay Bandits Dexter Carter, RB Florida State 18. Houston Gamblers Robert Blackmon S Baylor 19. Denver Gold (from x-Boston Breakers) Tim Grunhard C Notre Dame 20. x-Oakland Invaders Eric Green, TE Liberty 21. Philadelphia Stars (from x-New York Generals) Ben Smith CB Georgia 22. x-Chicago Blitz Vince Buck CB Central State (OH) 23. y-New Orleans Jazz LeRoy Butler SS Florida State 24. y-Spirits of Miami Rodney Hampton RB Georgia 25. y-Memphis Showboats Alexander Wright WB Auburn 26. y-Los Angeles Express Reggie Rembert WR West Virginia 27. z-New Jersey Knights Terry Wooden OLB Syracuse 28. z-Oklahoma Outlaws Darrell Thompson RB Minnesota 29. Sacramento Dan Owens DE USC 30. Baltimore Mike Fox DE West Virginia 31. Milwaukee Anthony Thompson, RB Indiana 32. Portland Dennis Brown DE Washington
With the #1 pick, Portland would have a choice between 5 similarly talented players. Ultimately two factors would lead to the selection of Seau — 1) his 19 sacks the year prior and 2) the team felt he would be the most likely of the five to sign with a USFL expansion team.  They were right. Seau’s agent advised Seau that he was likely to be the 5th-7th pick in the NFL draft and at that point either offer would be comparable.  Portland would view him as the USFL’s version of Lawrence Taylor...A player who might be as dominant a rusher as John Corker was in the USFL’s first season.  The charismatic Seau would become one of the most popular players in the league.  His perceived “humble honesty” would lead him would develop a “Jordan-esque” lucrative second career as a pitchman for products.
Tumblr media
Milwaukee considered making a bid for the draft’s only first round QB prospect, Jeff George, but realized it was a bad idea as Indianapolis had the second pick overall in the NFL draft.  (George was from Indianapolis.)  It was OK as Milwaukee thought Cortez Kennedy was the best talent in the draft and might become the best player in the draft.  Owner Herb Kohl didn’t believe Jimmy Johnson would draft a defensive tackle #1 overall.  Kohl threw ridiculous money (“for a defensive tackle”) at Kennedy, but was unable to sign him.  Kennedy wanted to wait for the draft.  He would be justified in waiting as Jimmy Johnson would make him the #1 player selected in the 1990 draft.
Baltimore badly misjudged the situation with Thomas.  They were unable to sign him and found no takers for his rights.  The other USFL teams were convinced Thomas would wait for NFL money…And they were right.
Sacramento reached down slightly on their draft boards to draft Mark Carrrier.  They assumed Carrier might be willing to talk to them.  He was, but he advised them he intended to wait for the NFL draft.
Pittsburgh drafted Jeff George in order to show a commitment to their fans. They would make several sizeable offers to George, but they knew they would be token ones, knowing the Colts were going to open the bank for George. Pittsburgh’s biggest weakness was clearly at QB and they knew their long-suffering fans would revolt if they didn’t make an offer to George.
Birmingham drafted All-American LB Keith McCants.  They knew McCants was prepared to wait for the NFL draft, but McCants was more then willing to sign a matching offer with Birmingham if the “wrong” NFL team drafted him….(ie. Tampa Bay).  Birmingham was more than willing to wait.  Unlike most teams who viewed McCants as a pass rushing outside linebacker strictly due to his speed and strength, Birmingham didn’t see that skill set.  Rather, they looked at how involved McCants was in the running game and they dreamed of using the Alabama tackling machine at MLB.  With his 4.51 speed, they envisioned a MLB who could flow from sideline to sideline and either cover RBs or Tight ends or be deadly coming unblocked on delayed blitzes on 3rd downs.
Tumblr media
Michigan reached down to pick MLB Percy Snow.  Snow, the beating heart of the hardest hitting defense in all of college football, was projected to go in the teens in the NFL draft, so Michigan’s financial offer was in line with what he would get in the NFL.  Snow would become the heart of a resurgent Panther defense.
Tumblr media
Carolina would also reach down a bit to draft DE Ray Agnew out of North Carolina.
Orlando would draft Florida RB Emmitt Smith.  Don Mathews had his eye on Smith for several years.  He liked how Smith helped his blockers by setting up the defenders and running properly off his blocks.  He also liked how smith consistently fell forward, finishing off his runs for extra yards.  This was a back who would excel at moving the chains.  Smith’s slow 40 times would have the NFL thinking Smith would slide in their draft.  Matthews knew if he drafted Smith this early it would further depress his value in the NFL draft making the Thunder’s offer look even better.  He was able to convince Smith’s agent to sign when the Thunder offered a rich offer for that draft slot.
Tumblr media
Atlanta would draft the draft’s highest rated offensive lineman by a great margin in Webb. They felt they were on borrowed time with Steve Bartkowski and thought Webb would be an elite left tackle. They tried over and over to sign Webb prior to the season, but Webb wouldn’t budge….he insisted on waiting for the draft in case he slid up dramatically on draft day.  Once the third game occurred, the Tribe lost interest in signing Webb.  Webb would have a lenghty holdout when his NFL offer was jarringly low, but with no competition for his services, Webb would have to sign with the NFL.
Jacksonville would try again for a first round talent at DE and this time they would succeed in landing one in Anthony Smith.  They would pay a premium.
San Antonio’s front office would be high fiving in the war room.  No draft boards had changed!  Their new defense would require a pair of linebackers with great instincts and sideline to sideline speed. The team had a young linebacker with great instincts in Chris Speilman, but Tom Landry and DC Jim Bates wanted a playmaker with range. Francis had blocked an NCAA record 8 kicks the previous season. They viewed James Francis as a dominant all-around linebacker on the level of Keith McCants, but a lot more natural in coverage.  Francis could do everything they envisioned a LB doing in their 4-X flex.
Tumblr media
The Hawaiians would be very concerned about the draft.  There would be almost no one in their top 60 who the team found was likely to sign with them.  There was one player with a first round grade who they thought they might sign.  Fresno State’s James Williams did actually sign with the Hawaiians as being a smaller school star he was concerned about when the NFL would draft him.
Tumblr media
Arizona would be very happy to find Chris Singleton had fallen to them.  They would be immensely disappointed when Singleton would chose to wait for the NFL draft.
New York would trade up with Philadelphia in order to draft Syracuse WR Rob Carpenter ahead of Denver. This would trigger an avalanche of trades. Carpenter would sign with the Generals.
Tumblr media
With Denver shocked by the turn of events, they would be open to a trade.  They would trade their first round pick to Houston for Houston’s first and another pick. Houston would draft Cougar LB Lathon ahead of Tampa Bay.  It would be a bit high for Lathon, but the Gamblers’ staff  would be enthralled with the player’s raw physical talent.
Tumblr media
Tampa Bay would not be in as precarious of a situation as Denver.  They would have spoken to several players as trades were clearly seen as a possibility.  They would merely move on to their next target, the fleet-footed Carter would be seen as a great replacement for the retired RB Gary Anderson.
Tumblr media
Denver would draft Robert Blackmon and trade his rights to San Antonio for a first in 1991 or 1992.  Blackmon would be viewed as a second round prospect in the NFL draft, but San Antonio would love the instincts they saw from him in the Baylor defense and would rightly assume that the SWC players were being underrated due to the struggles of the conference. They would have previously negotiated a a reasonable price for Blackmon if they could acquire a second first round pick. Both Baylor players would be taken by the billboards the Gunslingers placed in Waco following the season.  The first would read “America’s NEW Team, a new era of the San Antonio Gunglingers starts this spring with America’s Coach, Tom Landry.” The second, put up right after San Antonio offered both players contracts, would read, “America’s NEW team needs Bear Power! San Antonio’s Gunslingers draft Baylor stars Robert Blackmon and James Francis!”
Tumblr media
Denver would draft and sign a second round grade talent in Notre Dame Center Tim Grunhard with their pick from Boston. Grunhard would agree to very reasonable terms.  Denver was one of many teams who had reached the conclusion that it was better to draft talents perceived to be “lesser talents” that were of a reasonable costs that you could sign rather than whiff on bigger name talents.
Tumblr media
George and Bruce Allen would be thrilled when Liberty’s TE Eric Green fell to them.  Green was a small school player, but Allen viewed him as a reliable short yardage option in the passing game.  Allen thought Green might be uncoverable in a league that favored lighter faster defenses. Uncertain where he would be drafted in the NFL draft, Green would sign with the Invaders.
Tumblr media
The Stars would draft the player they wanted in CB Ben Smith out of Georgia. They would pocket a future second round pick for agreeing to the trade with New Jersey.
The Chicago Blitz would draft Buck to fill a corner spot.
New Orleans would be another team in love with a player with a second round grade.  LeRoy Butler, a safety with coverage ability, would be an ideal fit on New Orlean’s defense.  He would sign with the Jazz.
Tumblr media
The Spirits would love the idea of Georgia star Hampton as their feature back.  Hampton would be taken with the quality of the Spirit’s roster and would quickly sign.
Tumblr media
Memphis would quickly snap up Alexander Wright, a deep burner with elite speed.  Thought a likely second round pick in the NFL draft, he would also quickly sign.
Tumblr media
Don Coryell would select chippy WR Reggie Rembert from West Virginia as a replacement for the retired JoJo Townsell. Rembert was seen as challenging by the NFL, but his college films and stats were top shelf.  The 6′5″ 200 lb WR was also rumored to have run a 4.3 40 in college.
Tumblr media
New Jersey drafted LB Terry Wooden out of Syracuse.  Wooden quickly signed so he could continue playing with college friends from Syracuse.
Oklahoma drafted RB Darrell Thompson out of Minnesota to fix their on and off running game.  Counter to talks between Thompson and the team prior to draft day, Thompson would chose to wait on the NFL draft.
Sacramento would draft DE Owens in part to grease the skids with Carrier.  Owens would quickly sign, but there would be a perception that he carried no influence with Carrier.
Baltimore would draft and sign West Virginia DE Mike Fox, a second round NFL prospect.
Milwaukee would more than make up on their early whiff with the selection of Indiana RB Anthony Thompson.  Dinged for being something of a “straightline runner” by NFL scouts, Thompson would show a very impressive breakaway gear in the USFL. Thompson would tear up the league for the first ten games of the season, running for 1400 yards before being in and out of the lineup with various injuries.
Tumblr media
Portland’s Dennis Brown would carry an NFL second round grade into the draft, but would emerge as the best defensive end taken and signed in the USFL’s first round.
Tumblr media
Eight of the first nine prospects of the NFL draft would not sign with the USFL prior to the NFL’s draft day. The USFL would do better in the next 10, signing 7 of the next 10.
