Been thinking and playing around with some headcanons about the dwd boys physical body builts and I’m not sure if I can further elaborate on the reasons on why I am headcanoning them as such.

Maybe I can, but it’s because I kinda want to draw these interpretations sometime in the future?

Basically: I’m back with my “I get it, they are supposed to be tall, slender and bishonen marketable like-idols, but, also...” bs.

And, of course I start with my favorite blond demon, since this whole headcanon space thing wouldn’t have been possible... if it wasn’t for HIM ->

Mage - Actually a little more in the beefy side. Tall, but beefy, you know? I cannot really explain in words, but the guy is more or less a tank, physical force and all. And it would make sense considering what he normally wears (sleveless shirts, tank tops), and why his uniform jacket just doesn’t fit him.

We are also told that, while human food isn’t particularly “tastefully edible” for demons, we see he does enjoy (?) eating a whole roasted chicken, so, I MEAN, nutrients and calories for muscle building and energy, might be correct, right?

I have been struggling with what I think about the few official art in the past few years where sometimes anyone draws him more slenderish than he was supposed to be and I’m,,, confused, lol (weird built angles, I guess). I do know a particular (one of my faves, actually) fanartist DOES draw him with abs and with muscles (and I WOO those pics a LOT)... but I would personally like him more beefy... do you get my drift? (blame a certain werewolf that I cannot stop picturing Mage being a little beefy)

Rem - Slightly chubby, but average at best?. Not exactly slender, but also not certainly too chubby. I dunno how to explain it at full, like...  for one, I feel like it would fit him? It would show some air of wealthness and the negative connotations about pleasing his father in regards to his duties as the Arlond/Kaginuki’s “heir”.

He has a nice face, and he dresses nicely (the lesser about the shoulderpads, the better), so I don’t think anyone would notice much he isn’t 100% slender or fit-fit. But, I think this might be product of stress and anxiety (plus loneliness) after oh-so-many years of abuse and negligence where he doesn’t seem to think much about himself, but the ones around him. And I think, his older/present appearance might serve as a mirror to his and Urie’s complex friendship relationship, especially in regards to Urie... which, by the way...

Urie - Fit, “hot” and attractive to the average normal human masses. Certainly the same as per usual in official appearance. He likes to show off because he is an incubus, a seductive demon, after all (that bathsuit sprite still makes me laugh to this day, lmao). He is supposed to look what the average human might go for “attractive” and “hot”. 

In some way or form, I imagine this is also a very superficial way to outdo Rem in their “complex friendship” through an inferior complex of sorts (or whatever the hell they tried to explain his jealousy towards Rem, especially his home abuse situation which Urie was or may have been aware all the time, according to the game canon, iirc?), because, sometimes... jealousy is a b*tch and if there is ONE way to outdo your best friend, it might be this? It’s QUITE stupid, I know... but... I MEAN...

Shiki - Slender, petit. Much close to his actual official body built appearance, he is another one I don’t have much issues with, tbh. I dunno why, it just simply fits with his aesthetic as a whole. As a fallen angel and all that, he is certainly considered “beautiful” by his peers and the academy given his previous holy status. He has this “angelical beauty” aura, that no one else know how to explain it, that is certainly tricky once you get to know him.

Roen - Might be inclining into average at best (not slender, but also not chubby), but chubby is not that bad, either? Okay, here is the thing... I think it’s a little funny to think (for me) that he might get well-fed in his pomeranian form (and living within the Arlond/Kaginuki’s household might be a plus), and this might get reflected on his human appearance. I think it would fit him with a certain “cuteness” factor? (although he is also a little mischievous in his human form, and I think he might be embarrassed at times to be on his human form, because being a dog might have its advantages?)  If there’s a guy from these demons that should be chubby at best, just for that, it should be Roen, lol.

Lindo - Fit, athletic (again, not soooo different from his official appearance). HOWEVER, he might get a little beefy (not as much as Mage) if his vampire side gets switched on. Lindo gets trained by the exorcists, and he is pursued to achieve what the priests and other exorcists of that organization tell him to so he can “suppress” his vampiric side, in some kind of balanced diet and exercise way. However, I think this may be a little consequential if his vampiric powers are activated, one way or another.

I’m not going to lie, when I first watched the anime, I was a tiny disappointed that the only change we see of his vampire side is... purely aesthetical: red eyes, a longer hair strand and longer nails (and fangs), lol. I mean, go off, I guess. I wanted it to be more... physical, lol.

I incline to believe that, maybe this is the best it could be given his constant training...? but I also believe the training might put his human body in a more stressful state when his vampire side wakes up. So, maybe he gets a little more “muscley” in a transformation kind-of way? Instead of simply the purely visual changes? (Who knows, maybe just as the demons supposedly have their alternate forms, the vampires also have a more “beast” like form? food for thought 👀...).

To be fair, these are just fun ideas I have on my head, and I kinda want to explore them while drawing. That doesn’t mean I would simply stop drawing them in their official/vanilla appearances, since I cannot easily divorce from their official designs that MUCH... especially after all these years... but I guess I want more male body diversity in them? lol.

So like, i was bored and started imagining if like, Alastor and Wife!Reader when they were still alive constantly saying they own eachother? I always see Alastor being possessive to Reader, BUT I JUST NEED TO OWN THIS MAN AAAHH, THANK YOU.

And then when they both go to hell, they both give each other their soul, as a official bond type of thing(despite being married) and it’s a constant teasing based off ownership even though they love each other.

Just,

“Oh yeah?” You turned back towards him, a purple chain materialising in your hand as you tugged at his neck just enough for him to stumble back wards before turning to look at you. “Yes, dear, really.” He responded, pulling you by the now light green chain in his hand, making you both unable to back away as neither would back down from pulling at the leash that bonded your souls.

So when Husk in ep 5 talks about Alastor being on a leash, he mentioned Alastor being underneath someone superior, not you. Now, Alastor wasn’t sure if Husk meant the one he made a deal with or you (he wasn’t even sure if husk new about your souls), but either way, he was pissed. Because how dare this low life of a drunk pet see him as a pathetic excuse of an overlord or even think of speaking in such way of his wife?

I’m pretty sure Al got some issues.

Me too prob, cause this blog is turning into a place where i just ramble about this man. (I’m hyper fixating on this dude, sorry not sorry 😘)

Random skylanders continuity related ramble. I literally do not understand why they didn't lean into the fact that it's literally the TLOS universe?!?! And even had the academy show just make up their own timeline, which is why I don't consider it canon in the franchise. (that and it being the most convoluted plot possible.) The first 2 game's art direction looks very much like they kept in mind the planet exploding at the end of DOTD. The scattered islands that sometimes have bits just floating next to them. I think they straight up should've treated it as a sequel series. Even w/ the art style differences. Idk if it's the autism in me but the connection b/w the series should've been covered more. Idk what they could've done but connecting the kinda fizzling out of the elemental dragons, and the introduction of different magic creatures would've been a fun concept. I appreciate the call back to Hunter in TLOS and his whole big cat appearance by having 2 main npcs based on big cats. I also love the rare callbacks to the og spyro series. (Yes I'm aware Hunter exists in the og spyro games, he's just not really a "big cat" in the og games.) I just wish there was more done w/ the environment and characters.

tbh i feel like the glitches in 3 add to the experience like. yea sometimes the textures glitch out of existence. in one cutscene hailey n usapyon just stare at each other for like five seconds (with the different emotion symbol thingies still appearing normally above them) without saying anything and then it ends. you can clip through a wall to open a gate of whimsy. none of it's game-breaking so it's just amusing-

Nothing feels more nostalgic than visiting the first one or two anime stores that might have been in random places/kiosks in shopping malls, waaaaay before anime got mainstream.

I remember it was such a treat. Seeing (possibly pirate) wall scrolls and posters around, random merch, and few imported JPN manga volumes that would cost you an eye.

I also remember finding randomly the original Spanish edition of the Sailor Moon manga in this record store that also used to carry books and the like. And I remember that 100+ pesos in, like, 1996 was still too expensive to me when I barely knew how to read.

...That’s also not counting going to a local market fair and also finding the MOST random pieces of dubious original merch and ACTUALLY buying them.

I know these days (or more “contemporary” days, since 2007) you can go to more specific places for your fandom (still of dubious quality at times) merch, not even counting libraries or bookstores where you would get your usual dose of manga, as the more mainstream stores that used to carry not-so very mainstream series merch a few years ago before more western stuff like Marvel, Go*T or R*ick and M*rty were almost the entire norm of what is “mainstream nerdy/geek” nowadays :/.

I kinda miss going to treasure hunting in anime cons, but, tbh... going on my own is not 100% worth it; and with the pandemic still ongoing (and it’s still risky going to very crowded spaces like the convention center during a VERY hot day) is like :|

(there’s a person in insta selling random treasure original animanga merch, and apparently they live in my city, but good god, it’s a “first come, first serve” system situation and the good stuff goes quite quick :’D like an oasis in the middle of the desert, and they could get a little too expensive for my own taste, when I swear I THINK I could get a slightly cheaper deal (with more stuff!) with 2nd hand online stores AND proxy services (although luck is in play here, ngl). Maybe. Worldwide shipping prices are still killing, tho :/)

Hi so uh, im going for a hour long drive and i started rambling about Alastor so.. ;)

Okay, most people would consider Al a mamas boy, but in general, a mamas boy is a immature man who tends to considers his female romantic partner, someone with the role of being his mother, of caring for him.

But, as we all know, Alastor is a gentleman, he’s not immature. Sure he’s petty, teasing and sometimes an asshole, but not immature, which leads me to think that Alastor isn’t quite a mamas boy, he just preferred his mother, or women in general to interact with, than men.

What im guessing is that Al didn’t have a good relationship with his father (or just men his mother would know ig) which made him prefer his mother and other women over men (i have yet to see mommy kink alastor, istg this man).

Continuing, i believe that Alastor pretty much expects men to be, unpleasing (?). And well, when it is true, a man is annoying, he just continues passing the annoyance on, like with lucifer and Alastor.

Meanwhile when it isnt, like with vox(i think they used to be friends help 😭), he’s caught by surprise, causing him to put a barrier of defense (teasing and being an asshole ig) so then, the other man (vox in this case) gets annoyed and it loops.

Im not quite sure if he would expect women to be nicer than men like how he expects men to be shit, but everyone has a little bit of that thought.

Not sure if this is quite biblically correct(my eyes can barely stay open), but i was bored BORED, so dont mind me.

In the Kaos’ Kastle level in Skylanders: Giants, there’s a hidden area called the Forgotten Sepulchre, and it can only be reached by falling through the floor in the Pushblock Challenge room as a Giant.

In the Forgotten Sepulchre is this hat:

…A princess hat.

A princess hat surrounded by—or rather, buried with—piles of bones in a long forgotten sepulchre beneath the castle that cannot be reached by regular means. It’s suggested that not even Kaos knows it’s there.

I often think about how one of the entries in Book of Kaos mentions Kaos allegedly having brothers. Perhaps he has other siblings.

Perhaps he had other siblings.

I often think about Kaossandra’s diary entires in the same book, in which she writes about the many times she’d cruelly lock up her young son in the castle’s dungeon for days on end, all because she considered him to be irritatingly inept at magic. I think about the Kaos Clan’s unfathomably long legacy of evil and the immense pride they have in their reputation as powerful wielders of dark magic. Anyone they deem weak is swiftly punished. Perhaps much worse.

Kaos ultimately proved himself to be both powerful and ridiculously resilient. But what about the previous children, of which I am sure there were several? The children that…weren’t as resilient. The children deemed weak and useless.

I often think about this royal family of Dark Portal Masters and their twisted dedication to ensuring that their family remains powerful by any means necessary.

I often think about the Forgotten Sepulchre and all those bones. I often think about the little green princess hat that no doubt belonged to someone.

I often think about this princess that Kaos never got to meet. The sister he never knew he had.

Rei is the one who originally helped Adonis find a job but it unfortunately didn't work out and Kaoru is sort of the goofy dork who's also insecure/anxious about the future (like how Deckard was about cooking school I think?) :]

Second YES !!! I had ideas for rei n kaoru taking care of adonis in a sense. Sorry in advance cuz my writing is all over the place LOL…..

My idea for rei was that he was the one who helped adonis get back in the swing of things by giving him a place to stay n helping him find a job. I had planned for rei to let adonis live in his house since he would be gone often doing ~business~ n he needed someone to ‘take care of his house.’ Also knowing that ado would prob feel guilty abt living in his home for free, he tells ado to get a job in order to ‘pay rent’. <- I've put them in quotes because it's only what he says. In reality, rei doesn’t need the money or a house caretaker, he just wants adonis to experience life outside since ado had a sheltered upbringing and give him something to do (landlord rei era???) I also wanted all of this to be a favour rei is doing for an old friend

For kaoru I wanted him to be a big brother figure to ado (?) like a guy whos close to him in age that he can somewhat relate to n learn from. I'm glad u suggested him being unsure of his future like deckard cuz I was feeling a lil stumped with him HAHAHA. I think it'd be interesting to bring in the fact that since he's the only human in the squad, he feels that he doesn’t have the same amount of time as other members. This results in him feeling conflicted abt staying in their small idyllic town instead of pursuing a higher education/career outside like many ppl his age, even if he is already enjoying his current free-spirited lifestyle. I also see him as an inspiration for ado who wants to live as a human and as someone he respects.

Ummm that should be the gist of it.... I'm sorry if it's weird, writing isn’t exactly my strong suit 😭 😭 😭 I'll prob change it down the line if I can think of something better HAHA but anyway here’s a relationship chart that summarises everyone’s feelings towards each other
