We are a night elf themed, lore-friendly, heavy roleplay collective. Our goal is to create a welcoming community for kaldorei roleplayers and their allies. We will strive to promote, generate, and encourage roleplay opportunities outside of the city hubs and inspire world roleplay. Talah’dorei is not a new organization or sect to the night elf culture. It is simply a chosen community name that captures the essence of the night elven story thus far. They have survived so much tragedy. They have endured.

We have a diverse group of people and accept EVERYONE for who they are. So keep sexuality, race, religion, politics, and other similar "High Impact" subjects out of public channels.

Out of Character drama needs to be kept to a bare minimum. Also, remember to keep IC and OOC separate. If you have a problem with a member, please contact the leader/moderator of your choosing, and hopefully, we can find a solution before it makes everyone uncomfortable.

Keep your roleplay etiquette in check. No God Modding. No Meta Gaming. No Trolling. We are a lore-friendly community. We understand there is grey area where headcanon can flourish and expand but please do not force your personal canon on others or expect them to accept it as their own.

We are a 21+ community. Due to the discussions here, members must be able to handle mature language and content. That said, there is no reason to push the mature rating to its limits. Use the spoilers feature for questionable art, this server is a no ERP zone, and keep excessively explicit conversations out of the public channels.

This is, first and foremost, a game. Don't go out of your way to make someone's game time miserable. We all pay to play. Let's have fun and enjoy it! In light of this, since this community is an extension of the game, we are not going to breed misery here. Therefore, any disparaging remarks about the game content, lore, questlines, storylines, or Blizzard choices needs to be kept out of public channels.

Grandstanding will not be tolerated. Broadcasting that you will quit, in the public channels of this discord, because Blizzard made a choice you disagree with will result in a ban. This also pertains broadcasted pity parties that hint or imply that you might as well quit because something is or isn't happening, etc. You will not be shown attention or sympathy. You will be shown the door. No one here pays extra for guilt trips.

Any image created by an AI generator must be explicitly labeled at an "AI Generated Image". Additionally, these images should not be posted in the art channels as it does not qualify as such. RP HOOKS:

A Moment in Time: Risri owns a little photography studio on the canal side of the Trade District in Stormwind. Visitors would find photographs she has taken at events and around the worlds on the walls up for display or purchase (mostly landscapes for purchase).  She also does photo shoots in her studio (think family portrait).  She can be hired to take photos for events (she had done several weddings) or even for special reasons.  This is the perfect venue to meet Risri whether you’re just browsing or coming in to schedule something in particular.

Cenarion Circle: Risri is a member of the Cenarion Circle. Anyone who is a member could know Risri or know of her. She became a druid with the circle about 100 years ago. Druid things are always welcome whether its teaching or just chatting about events.

Other ideas:  Risri once ran @the-royal-courier​  many people know of her from those days, its okay to be one of them without chatting to me first. She often wanders taking photos out in the city, maybe she snapped one of you - its perfectly fine to question or even be angry that she did so, or even ask for a copy!

With Dragonflight approaching and my efforts to get back into World of Warcraft RP, it seems wise to offer an updated collection of OCs. All of them are available.

LATILDA ROMMEL

A former journalist and spy, Latilda has had her world turned upside down on the regular. She is an independent soul, regularly traveling Azeroth to hunt down the odd magical maladies of reality and and the threats unnoticed with a touch of creativeness, and is a rather curious Fellow.

OOC: Lat’s a mixture of Lara Croft and Carmen Sandiego and loves to both make friends, rivalries and seek out chaos wherever it may linger.

ELYZA MORROWBRANCH:

A Warden veteran from the last few millennia, this woman has found herself calming down and seeking peace in the few years since the end of Shadowlands. However, she is a stalwart ally and combatant for pushing back anything that may threaten the Kaldorei people.Expect to see her on the frontlines during Dragonflight.

OOC: A knight and ally of Kaldorei interests, she’s one who will fight with her people wherever possible.

LETHEA NETHERSTRIKE: 

A Former Warden turned bounty hunter, she’s striving to find her way in the world despite having a body advanced by technology.

HELENA STRATFORD: 

A Mage turned warlock, this young scholar is learning the costs of power due to exposure to an ancient force that has changed her life completely.

IRIS PLAGUEBLOOM

A void elf who embraced science and all of its nasty implications in a world of magic from behind a mask.

One of my oldest characters in the WoWverse, Latilda Rommel is an enigma in her own right. Originally a journalist for her own paper, the fates drew her elsewhere to another adventure. Now she has found herself wrapped in the adventures of forces beyond our world, of Watchers and Fighters, of demons and darkness. As of June 2020, she will begin her biggest challenge yet, in facing what it means to be an Eternal Traveler. And yet she rarely loses her playful, friendly energy among the average man. She lives in the back streets of Duskwood, offering a blade of a needle for the right coin. She desires

Employment: having vagrants pay to have scars sewn up is little coin in the grand scheme. She needs real money. If you would appreciate a private surgeon, she is available.

Experiments: poisons need a warm body to be tested on, as do experimental techniques. Perhaps your abrasion is the perfect tool for such an expression?

Exploitation: Iris is designed explicitly to have zero magic badass powers. But I would love to see her magically corrupted or taught to use her Void abilities. Maybe by someone with less than pleasant intentions.

FC: Chloe Grace Moretz

Once a young Lightbound Draenei under Exarch Yrel, her actions found herself severed from her own timeline and placed in our own. A sister of battle in her own way, she offers a challenge and abrasive personality in a world tainted by the dark. She is looking for:

Guidance: how must a holy warrior act in a world where the shadow is allowed to coexist? This is what Anaanke must learn to cope with.

Greatness: the warrior wishes to make her name for herself; in the name of the Light. Will you ally with her? Or stand away.

A 27 year old male writer, Nerd works consecutively in the field of sociology and journalism for their employment. Nerd is a huge fan of roleplay, whether in private stories, community DnD campaigns, or large public WoW-based roleplay. Discord roleplay: this is a preferred format, in part due to the flexibility of the medium as well as time restraints. Post when you can, of course!

In-game roleplay: starting in August, Nerd will be far more free for roleplay in-game, whether it is guild shenanigans or other things. The writer will be around.

Fixating on Mains: Latilda and Elyza both have the most RP history and will get priority if offered. However, if any specific character will work for your story, do not hesitate to approach.

Long-term arcs; several of nerd’s characters will play a significant part in driving toward Shadowlands, and would love to discuss crossover interests or how to make fun stories. There is an overarching storyline that involves many of Nerd’s alts, but that does not mean other stories cannot be pursued.

HAIR:

Thick locks of seafoam draw down to pour over broad shoulders, swept back with a casual hand. Laz’rael never spends more than a passing moment in keeping the heavy mane tamed. While cleanliness stands paramount, the Druid’s hair seems to match his existence: wild and restless.

He also keeps a beard, matching the color of his hair. He keeps it well groomed and while thick, it is short.

EYE:

Destined for greatness were the golden hues that shone bright from the youthful Druid’s gaze upon the world before him, a foretelling that his practice of Druidism would serve him well. For a handful of millennia, so did his eyes suffice, until the calling of the darkened moon was set upon the battle-hardened Shan’do. Deep within the wooded expanse of Darkshore, among the ancient ruins of Bashal’Aran, Laz’rael gave himself to the Trial of the Night Warrior and joined the Army of the Black Moon. Now a instrument of Elune’s wrath, blackness consumes and commands his gaze.

HEIGHT:

Eight feet, give or take.

BUILD:

Cord with thick, sinuous musculature that travels and thickens the expanse of his massive body, Laz’rael has the build of a warrior who has never known real peace. Tall by even Kaldorei standards, he towers to crest at nearly eight foot with broadness to match. Powerful arms give way to massive hands that appear to more aptly fit a bear than any Elf. 

DISTINGUISHING MARKS:

Savage and visceral, his flesh is mottled and pocked with stories innumerable. Old wounds and new paint his herculean form with dark lines of scars from the test of the ages on his body.

Spanning out from his chest and back coils dark ink that stretch, bend and constrict his dark flesh with blackened thorns and brambles. The length of the vine encircles his arms down to his wrist where each condense into a solid black band at the base of his hand.

Laz’rael has had many students throughout the years and is like to have more. I oftentimes make up characters and concepts on the spot to suit the scene and environment I'm storytelling in. Some examples of what I have currently outside of my character information listing are:

Everdine Alda - Human, Cross-Faction - A young woman that was once a magical prodigy who has since hidden from the world due to the curse bestowed upon her by an amulet. Soft-spoken and a bit meek, her intelligence remains untouched by her curse which stems from an ancient amulet embedded in the center of her chest.

Khavan Nightwing - Sin'dorei, Cross-Faction - One of the leaders of The Three Great Families, Khavan comes from a sordid and complicated bloodline that has been tainted over the years by forces far beyond his imagining.

Anora Littlewing - Kaldorei, Cross-Faction - A sickly druidess with an incredibly keen tie to nature, she fights off the symptoms of her disease by working with a mixture of local fauna and alchemical experimentations. Has a fondness for mortals and is much older than her disposition leads one to believe.

Kindryd Briarthorn - Ren'dorei, Cross-Faction - A rather twisted individual, Kin enjoys taking on bounties and marks in order to satisfy her bloodlust. Sadomasochistic to the extremes, she oftentimes preys upon those she finds out in the wilds or far away from settlements. Looking for the next 'plaything' to entertain her.

Kalen and Maisie Dirkson - Humans, Cross-Faction (Alliance Leaning) - A soft-spoken farmhand and his mischevious sister whose family farm was razed by bandits leaving behind nothing but ash and their grandfather's sword. They've been pursuing the leader of the bandit syndicate that attacked their home, knowing them only as 'The Phantoms'.

Mizelle Fallenstar - Shal'dorei, Cross-Faction - Wielding both daggers and magicks, Miz serves nothing and no one but herself. Her goals are enigmatic and her motives unclear. She tends to prowl the darker underbellies of society when she's not busy flirting and coyly prying intel from the surface dwellers. ...and these are just to name a few!

Ex-Soldier: For a short time, Thelarii was an Alliance soldier, but she was honorably discharged almost as soon as she arrived at her quiet posting in post-Cataclysm Northrend after her training, due to an injury she suffered from an accident. You might know her from training, or from her time stuck recovering in Northrend.

Ashenvale: Up until the arrival of Gilnean refugees in Darnassus, Thelarii lived in Ashenvale her whole life. She was back visiting her family when it was attacked by the Horde, and killed several Forsaken attackers with an old skinning knife during the attack before she and her father fled to Darnassus. You may recognize her if you lived there while she did, or if you were there during the attack.

Faith: Thelarii has always been more devout than she would lead people to believe, and she has found herself praying and wandering into sermons and places of worship far more often in light of recent events.

Traveling Merchant: Thelarii makes regular trips to Stormwind and to smaller towns between there and Surwich to sell trained horses and hunting companions, and occasionally other items, either from her own hunting trips, or her husband’s latest crafting interest.

Cenarion Circle: Risri is a member of the Cenarion Circle. Anyone who is a member could know Risri or know of her. She became a druid with the circle about 100 years ago. Druid things are always welcome whether is teaching or just chatting about events.

In striving to uphold this tradition, we call to the Kaldorei; help us take back our homes. Help us push the Banshee and her minions back. Help us find justice for all who died among the War of Thorns. Join us in Winterspring and seek the sigil of Aetherwind.

There you will find Andranor-izal; and Andranor-izal will act as a pedestal of hope amongst the chaos; a stronghold against the Horde Menace. Built upon the ruins of an ancient Highborne home, it stands in isolation, away from the carnage of Ashenvale and Darkshore and supported by the manpower of the Wardens and the arcane powers of the Highborne, all who stay there will be safe and armed well in their fight against the enemy. We will move to take the land back from the enemy inch by inch….death by death, until Ashenvale, Darkshore, and if possible, Kalimdor is free of the Horde.

The Kalimdor Resistance is not a guild, but rather a discord server and roleplay hub intended to bring together all kaldorei fighting to rid their home of the Horde invaders.  We aim to provide a means of organization, a backbone for storytelling, and a variety of tools and prompts to facilitate roleplay. Well, @shuuhuu is a supportive sweetheart, constantly sending asks! I may be slow when it comes to answering them, but I love seeing them in my inbox. Of course, their characters are also beautifully written and I love their detailed writing. 

I’m amazed by how much quality writing @unabashedrebel can juggle. He’s responds to all these RPs in a timely manner, while still finding time to write stories on the side. All of which are beautifully written, with engaging dialogue and vivid scenery. 

I know I’ve said this over and over again, but I adore @koszmar-zycie. He helped me first branch out and start RPing here nearly a year ago. The threads we do are among my favorites, whether it’s Kuina and Xiuying flirting or Koszmar and Kennocha talking about life. 

@heroya-of-the-warsong is also an amazing person. I’ve enjoyed our RPs, as their characters all have fascinating stories. Yet that speaks nothing of them OoC, as the conversations we’ve had have been wonderful highlights of my playtime. Finally, I still fangirl when I see their art. Heck, I still have her work of Kennocha saved as my phone background, as it’s a gorgeous piece that reminds me of the awesome people I’ve meet here. 

Speaking of artists, @peachykaty has some of my favorite works here. In addition, it’s been a delight RPing with her characters, and occasionally writing for them. She has such a wide cast of varying characters and personalities she jumps from that it still amazes me how she balances them all. 

@dravatti is also a fantastic artist. They produced some of my absolute favorite Inktober pieces, ranging from tauren beauties and troll priests to aurin darlings and elven warriors. I don’t know how to properly explain the style or colors, but I get excited seeing it. 

Of course, there’s an amazing troll artist here as well. @potionmaster-kiefeon is wonderful to see, whether it’s in the city RPing or here showing off another sketch. I freaking adore her character design and get so excited when I see an update from her. 

@kuzi-the-hunturr also ranks here. Whether it’s her Sims AU, art, or asks, I’m delighted to see her run across my notifications. She’s sent in some of the most thought provoking asks to me, whether to Kennocha, Winoa, or Kij’aza. Heck, the story prompt she sent to me is turning out to be a gloriously fun challenge to write. I’ve got the whole thing outlined so far, but I’m still trying to figure out how to properly write it to honour her sources. 

While we’re on trolls though, I consider @leahdarkspear to be a linchpin in the community. She connects so many troll RPers, no matter if here or in her guild. Leah is fun to see drawn out and written about. I’m still so happy that I was able to RP in one of her events. 

Among the first people I followed on tumblr was @zookeeper-cielsy. Whether her character if focused on baking, fishing, or zoology reports, I love reading what the traveling elf is up to. The detail they put into their work, whether writings, aesthetics, or art; is incredible. 

I need to catch up with @squadron-of-damned‘s characters. I can’t imagine the work it’s taken them to write and draw their comic, but it’s surely worth it. I love watching their characters go on their adventures, as well as seeing the little details of love they put into the work, such as the different penmanships for different characters. 

I actively read @curiouscodex‘s threads. No matter who they’re with, I’m assured that I’ll reach the last update with a smile on my face. His characters are just so charming and delightful to read. In addition, he’s also mentioned interesting headcannons about Kaldorei astrology, which have been fun to research for my night elf. 

Of course, @belillinafireseeker has been fun to RP with. Watching Winoa and Bella interact is a pleasure, whether the former is defending the elf from a horde of bunnies or simply playing a game. OoC, she’s also a shy darling that I need to speak more with. 

My first interactions with @leavenohoofprints left an impact on me. See, one of her first messages in my inbox was a glorious pun, followed months later by an answered prompt full of them. Along with enjoying her wordplay, I adore her aesthetics and style of writing. 

@magemoraluna is another draenei darling I adore. Just last night, I was up rereading her latest stories as a moment of realization dawned on me about her mage. They offer an interesting perspective with her journal entries, along with her various RPs. While I haven’t talked with her much, I admire her kindness and thoughtful writing. 

There’s also @puppet-master-jihye. I adore how she writes Jih’s often...unusual perspective through song, conveying the melody through the screen. The imagery she provokes is incredible. You can tell the writer spends a lot of time preparing these tales, thoughtfully piecing together works of art. 

Another supportive person is @viceofalltrades. I love going through their writing, as the character is an oddly enchanting one. In addition, they are amazingly supportive, constantly liking not only my work, but others as well. 

@patiencekindnesscourage is yet another encouraging person here. Though I don’t know much about their character, I love seeing them come across my dash or chat with others OoC. They are just so kind and considerate, that while their username certainly displays these characteristics, you’re not quite ready for how supportive they are. 

And how can I not mention @nesuna-nightwinter? The darling is the type of person to cheer on everyone they follow, constantly cheering on artists, aesthetic blogs, and writers alike. They inspire me to be kinder to others, as well as having been one of the biggest inspirations to take a leap of faith and start RPing a Kaldorei. 

Among my favorite ships in RP is between @musingsofamute and @petra-gampre. The two are absolutely adorable. Reading them together is sure to ultimately end in me at least sporting a dorky ‘look at those lovebirds go’ grin. Even when they interact with other people, their characters are just so darling. 

@discipleofhethiss has some of my favorite aesthetics, as the collections are gorgeously shot and varied. They have good taste. While I don’t know much about their character, I’m quite interested based on what I currently know and what’s implied. 

I don’t interact terribly much with @feelmyrayne, but I’ve had some amazing RP with them. Their characters are well written and a delight to watch interact. I’m not quite sure what to say about what’s been going on with them, but I root for them and pray for things to get better. They deserve all the love. 

@kelzthalassunwhisper is also an incredible person. Encouraging dragon RP, they ooze passion and love for their craft. I’ve had a lot of fun roleplaying with them on discord, as well as chat OoC. In addition, I’m still not over her dragonsworn contest, which was amazing to participate in. 

There’s also the elven wonder that is @tanefrun. I love reading the tales of the young Kaldorei hunter, as seeing her go on her adventures is a delightful change of pace. Normally, elves are seen and played as these ancient figures, but she turns them inside out when she goes on the young and eager Tanefrun. I’d love to RP with her on Rowan someday....

OoC, I’ve had the delight of speaking to @orland-and-friends / @bloop-bot. The conversations are a nice change of pace from my usual talks with others. I can’t thank them enough for letting off some steam and making them think about other points of view I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.

I’ve also had the pleasure of talking with @thenotsolittlelady​. Their art is also incredible, but I mostly remember them for our casual conversations. When I was freaking out about everything last year, they helped me take a deep breath and take about other things. Thank you.

@nakpunchcow- I haven’t interacted with you much, so I was quite surprised when you sent me that message after an off post. The stress felt it was killing me at that point, so I wrote something to get it off my chest. I was planning on burying those words under other posts, so seeing you message me was both unnerving and encouraging. I still don’t really know what to say to you, but thank you for the reminder that I’m not alone. 

@asharri has many wonderfully interesting characters. The aesthetics and writing are on point, as well as their support of other blogs including myself. They’re a delight to see come across my dash, as their content is simply incredible.

Finally, there’s fellow Shu’halo RPer, @fuzzymigglet. I haven’t interacted much with you, but I remember Winoa seeing you preform in game at this server event (I can’t remember the name of the event or what guild was hosting it, but it was at the Temple of the Jade Serpent). That was beautifully emoted, so when I found out you had a tumblr, I was so pumped.
