oh i have a question!! ehats the age diff in the college au? i dont think i caught it lol😭😭 love the concept in canonverse of kakashi being an obnoxious six year old tagging along on obito and rins missions but its even worse bc hes actually leading them lmfao so i rlly appreciate that u put it in ur fics 😭

HONESTLY it's so hard to maintain the actual age gaps in college aus (and i'm basing this on the american system since it's the one i know) so i've tried to justify it using the way some kids skip grades when they're younger (and i love that u asked this bc it forced me to actually think about it LOL so thank u <3 ) i had just figured out my uchiha age gaps bc i just wrote about it in the first half of the next chapter SOOOO:

- physics/engineering majors tend to take more than the traditional four years bc of how overwhelming the classes are SO obito has lived with kkgai for four years but he's been there a year longer than them!!! so he's in his fifth year and finishing up so he'd be 23-24 ish and some of the older akatsuki members are in the same group as him like kakuzu/kisame/etc as well as shisui in the fam B)

- gai/rin/some akatsuki players are on track and have gone the traditional route so since this is their fourth year they'd be 22-23 in the fic :D

- and then baby kks is the youngest of the adult group being 21 in his fourth year since he skipped a grade when he was young bc sakumo was feeding this child biology knowledge since he could talk LOL

- itachi and sasuke are the youngest overall because itachi is a freshman but he skipped grades to get there so he's still high school age and that's why it's impressive he's on the team!!! i explain it more in the next chapter, which is halfway done :D and then sasuke is in the same boat he just started high school but he skipped grades so he's also very young for his grade (so these two are BABY babies and will be protected <3 )

I HOPE I MADE THE AGE GAPS MAKE SENSE honestly i have no clue what i was even doing so we'll just pretend this all works out 😭💖

oh man. dont enable me!!! i still have my other wips I need to finish first T-T but for now... here’s my old notes, as a treat.

- [ ] kakashi = renowned chef (heralded as a genius in food, reinvents things scientifically. micro-level. visual experience as well as sensual. japanese cuisine? would make the most sense. has three locations in different parts of the world. wears black mask beneath chefs jacket. kind of an arrogant jerk but its mostly a facade. lives in a fancy top floor apartment, lives alone, super lonely, keeps himself insanely busy bc of it. sakumo was a famous chef—feels pressured to uphold his legacy. - [ ] iruka = starts as a dishwasher? (given the job by his roommate genma whose a line cook at same restaurant. iruka suffered a severe break up from mizuki (genma thinks it’d be good for him aka get off ur depressed ass)—back injury; in physical therapy for better part of a year, lost previous job because of it. moved in with genma after the breakup bc he lived with mizuki. Isn’t a big fan of kakashi at first, kinda hates him actually. also, doesn’t understand kakashi’s food, thinks it’s pretentious ‘why would i want to eat something that imitates a strawberry, while NOT being a strawberry, when i can just eat a real strawberry?’ LMAO. iruka doesn’t really know anything about the food world/kakashi’s place in it so talks to him “disrespectfully” without realizing it—rest of the kitchen staff is in awe. kakashi is annoyed by it… but also amused and intrigued

kitchen core: kakashi, genma, anko, choji, temari, shikamaru

bar: neiji (wine), sasuke (cocktails), tenten

host/wait staff: ino, sakura, naruto, sai.

>> it’d be kinda “enemies” to lovers, which i’ve never really done before
