Why does W×S main story have to be the first and the last in the timeline?

sorry for the late response, i've had so many asks over the last few days that these ended up getting buried under about 30 others.

It's mentioned in the WxS main story that the failed debut play was on the first day of the school holidays. By process of elimination this is most likely summer break (the story is some time after the start of the school year, and before christmas). Their main story also only takes place over a very short period of time compared to most of the others.

Saki and Haruka both started regularly attending school at the same time. According to STEP by STEP!, the transfer windows to and from the credit course are the start and midway point of the school year. Haruka would've transferred at the start of the year, so that's when Saki transferred too. This is a retcon though since the actual main story seems to suggest that Haruka transferred partway through the year.

Haruka is stated to be 16 in the main story but that's just because all 1st years are 16 regardless of birthday due to the timeloop so I'm not taking it as an indicator of when the MMJ story is set

However if you want to count it and say that the MMJ story is after October 5th, it pushes the WxS story into the winter holidays.

Also in the WxS main story opening it's stated that Saki has just started school, placing WxS and L/n main stories at the same time (though as stated, WxS has the shorter story)

In Kohane's initial 1* story, she mentions to Minori that a new troupe has recently begun performing at PXL (they have performed multiple shows by this point). It is also mentioned that Minori has recently become friends with Haruka and that Kohane is meeting with someone from another school (presumably An). Kohane has not cut her hair by this point.

But also according to Toya's initial 3* story, BAD DOGS split up before Saki has gone to school, which means no L/n, no MMJ, and no WxS. Given the whole 'transfer at the start of the year' retcon, it also means that no one in VBS should be in high school lol

So if that's too complicated here's the order of main story events according to the main stories and initial card stories:

BAD DOGS splits up

Saki starts school, Haruka transfers course, Rui transfers school. L/n and MMJ main stories start.

Tsukasa attends his audition for PXL. WxS main story starts.

WxS goes on school break, performs a show, messes it up, etc etc story over.

No one else goes on break

Kohane meets An

thanks VBS writers. WxS has to finish before the formation of MMJ, L/n, and VBS, but also WxS (and by extension, L/n and MMJ) have to not even have their stories started when BAD DOGS splits up just before the end of the VBS story. so WxS is either the 3rd story to start and 1st to finish, or last story to start and finish. I didn't forget about N25 but they can do basically whatever they want bc they don't impact the other stories.

Fun fact: The reason why I only write Niigo is because they hit all of my good spots when it comes to both creativity, and loving the characters! Creativity comes from their pretty interesting story, conflicts, and stories that I really like! And characters are pretty self explanatory tbh. Both are completely personal tastes and likes, since I also like the other groups and have tried to gain muse for them! Sadly, they just don't hit the right spots for me.

I've tried to make way for WxS first, but while the direction the story's going and the characters are progressing are good and engaging, they don't trigger my muse nor my dedication. Once again, purely personal taste. Same with VBS, especially the way it focuses on NPCs. I don't mind, but it does make it so that I care less about the main 4, and as such don't have muse for them. Also the fact that they both have a duo of boys that just steal the spotlight in fandoms...

And L/N. This is the main reason for this post, as they were the only ones that I didn't give a chance to. It was unfair of me, but I just don't like school band stories! And that was enough for me to stay away, up until this week. My interest was peaked thanks to their connection with Kanade and Mafuyu, and I grew interest after hearing their latest 2 commissions on EN, which I actually really like!

MMJ was an interesting one. It took me a while to get into them thanks to the general misconception that I had of them, but when I started to chat with fans and slowly understand their characters, they were actually pretty good! As good as the others of course, but they were getting me attached... Well, for a while. Their stories are also good, but they're not for me. However, my interest for them is peaked, so their chances to trigger my muse are still good!

And so, I finally decided to look into them last week. As of now I haven't finished yet, but I gotta say, I'm hooked. If there's any chance of any extra groups appearing on this blog, it's either gonna be MMJ, or L/N. That's all, now I go back to researching this band and writing hehe >^<

hihihi sorry I took a hot minute to respond! I had to think on this for a while. I'm also going to do my top 10!

10. Niccori Survey Theme - Wonderlands x Showtime

Yeah. It's SUCH a catchy song. It makes me happy! It makes me bounce in my seat! I get it stuck in my head all the time which is hardly a bad thing.

9. 1 - Leo/Need

I'm usually not a huge Leo/Need fan, but 1 is probably my favorite song from the group! Everyone's vocals here are just beautiful, especially Shiho (but she always slays so are we really surprised?) And the melody is really addicting. Luka also sounds amazing with Leo/Need! My one gripe with this song is Ichika having so many solos despite it supposedly being a Shiho center song, but it's Leo/Need. What are you gonna do.

8. Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai - Nightcord at 25:00

This song has a special place in my heart. N25 was the first unit that I finished the main story for, so it this was the first time I heard a song that SEKAI manifested, and it was such a cool moment. It's a beautiful song that I can relate to a lot.

7. Moonlight - Vivid Bad Squad

I remember waiting sooo long to finally get a Meiko VBS song and it did not disappoint!! It's a bop all the way through. Meiko sounds so great in this; I especially love the use of her higher register in the chorus. Also it's an Akito center and I love the little orange guy.

6. Tenshi no Clover - More More Jump!

This song goes so hard for some reason, and I love it. I love the melody in this song so much and I'm always a slut for electric guitar. Rin also sounds really good with MMJ. Idk I don't have much to say about this, too busy headbanging to come up with coherent thoughts.

5. IDSMILE - Nightcord at 25:00

So much to love in this song, where do I even start... The instrumentals kinda give me retro game vibes somehow, even though there's very limited 8-bit instrumentals. OH it reminds me of those flash dress-up games from like 2008!! So many sparkly sounds. Everyone sounds so wonderful in this song too! Meiko doesn't get much spotlight, but she absolutely kills it regardless. Maybe they didn't give her as many lines because they had to nerf her somehow. Also another #relatable #moment with the lyrics

4. Kanadatomosusora - Nightcord at 25:00

This song is SOOO GORGEOUS oh my goddd..... Luka was the perfect choice for this song. Once again everyone's vocals are absolutely stellar. I have to give a shoutout to Ena's VA for ABSOLUTELY SLAYING bc she sounds so gooood I can't get over it. Kanade and Mafuyu also have so much emotion in their voices. I want to inject this song directly into my veins

3. Cinema - Vivid Bad Squad

Oh boy another Akito center is anybody surprised!! I love. every. aspect. of this song it's unreal. The instrumental is so much fun to listen to! The running paino notes are so bouncy and fun. Everyone's vocals are amazing in this song, especially An and Kohane for hitting those high notes!! I relate to the lyrics perhaps a concerning amount, but I did love reading the lyrics bc it was like oh! The song gets it! My only complaint is Kaito... He just doesn't sound fantastic in this song, which is fine! But if it were up to me. I would have used a different vocaloid fhdkgkg

2. Ice Drop - More More Jump!

I don't know what aqu3ra put in this song but it has to be crack. This song it so catchy and addicting! Len works surprisingly well with MMJ. Also, Haruka Kiritani. My queen. She sounds so beautiful, as always. The key change snatches my wig every time.

1. Rad Dogs - Vivid Bad Squad

This song is like drugs to me. I don't know what genre this is, but I need more of it. The classical elements mixed with hip hop?? Top tier. Every second of this song makes me feral. THE VOCALS. I want this song played at my funeral. I don't know what half the instruments used are called and that is the only thing stopping me from going on an unhinged rant about how good it is.

Anniversary Event "バーシャル・シンガーファンフェスタ" Summary

I doing this event summary because well... event card looks intriguing and yeah it's true (in case some people still don't know, event card before change came straight from screenshots from actual event story)

this event story came with so many subtle relationships opened (ex : Minori and An know each others from this event as they just keep mentioned each others by Haruka) and from now on most character know each others so yeah I guess they need to update chara relationships onward (lol)

I guess I can't express much details here since I only read VBS and 25-ji event stories so far but please enjoy read below and it's pretty lengthy !

- Characters : Member bonus (Ichika, Minori, Kohane, Tsukasa, Kanade & Miku Original) + ALL CHARACTER + ALL Virtual Singers But the main protagonist for this event is Minori with Ichika Kohane and Nene as secondary protagonist

- Summary (Twitter) : Minori, Ichika, Kohane, and Nene have decided to participate in the annual thanksgiving event "Virtual Singer Fan Festa" as singers. Kanade and the others are also coming to see the creators they're interested in. And thus, the curtain rises on a festival where various feelings cross with each other——! Note : You need to know a bit of previous every band/group event story as some parts mentioned about it except VBS

- I can't cut this story with just summary so for parts :

1. Story started from those four self training to contribute for their own band/group onward. Minori talked about want to self train as she's the most least experience at her group and after thinking about Airi solo performance at MMJ previous event with Ichika and Kohane then Ichika tell them about Virtual Singer Fan Festa still opened for registration we all know Ichika is Miku biggest fans so of course she know this annual festival lol. Then Ichika and Kohane too want to participate as they feels the same lack of experience while Nene joined after hear from Ichika...

2. To prepare they trained with VBS and WxS members ! As VBS good at sing and WxS at dance they decided to train with them, funny enough Minori is the only one doesn't know most of those group members and Minori too seems click right at bat with Rui (Ichika know some WxS members, Kohane is Wonderland Phoenix biggest fan and Nene well she's understandble since she's shut in) PS : Akito put his usual stern face so Nene kinda suprised as she only know the good boy Akito

3. Different scene with those four, Kanade decided come to Festa as one of her favourite creator participate there She asked 25-ji members too and the biggest suprise here is Mafuyu meet with MMJ members except Minori at Festa before meet up with 25-ji members...so this is 25-ji member first timers saw Mafuyu good girl face and it scare them (lol) Note : Mafuyu and Shizuku are classmate and came from same extracurricular activity

4. At Festa well yeah it's just they participate and finished ! But it focused into Minori scene As Minori keep nervous, Tsukasa kinda worries and look for her and meet up at backstage then say some encouraging words

Tsukasa : It's fine to scare but if you succeed in this stage means you success delivering your feelings to everyone

Tbh I kinda like this line, as this came from his own experience since idol and show kinda similar... And he say to scream if you scare and it makes staff (at left) warned him (lol)

And added the encouragement after performance Kanade saying that Minori looks so dazzling on stage

- Many character relationships need to be update after this event :

- Mentionable card time and place aside two above :

Kohane started her dance training with Wonderland Phoenix she adore so much... and as I never read WxS stories I just know that eventhough WxS notice Kohane presence as their biggest fans, they really just know each others from this story !

Not screenshots from event story but this card is Project Sekai first original Hatsune Miku card so of course it need to mention (lol)

I kinda like the design, it's memorable like those Hatsune Miku commorative or birthday art... as I love the art, too bad I still want to save my gems for Rin Len Aku no Meshitsukai original card around Dec (yeah their livestream mention those info for detail look at Prosekai unofficial english twitter)

- Rarity, seeing the story it's moreless agreeable but too bad Nene doesn't even include as card (lol)

Funny enough Miku and Ichika card have different attribute than event requirement means you can't use them in this event even you get them (lol)

Well then Happy 1st Anniversary and let's enjoy free gems and 7x10 pull ticket plus another 3000 gems at 4th Oct later !

think i'm gonna start using this as a place to chuck my (extended) thoughts on random things because twitter is not very good for my tangents that would put fischl to shame

so anyway here i am three weeks into project sekai gameplay (already suffering from burnout tbh i played like 20 hours in 10 days), have already maxed out VBS's rank and read their main story, witnessing the way kohane was able pick herself back up almost immediately after being put down in contrast to how it took toya 4 episodes (can't really blame the guy, he has issues™ to work through) to have a couple's argument with akito only for it to end with "partners" (the devs are cowards and they know it)

AND as much as i absolutely love anhane and the way they are just so positive and supportive of each other and my loves i am here to talk about minori and kohane!! i loved their collab for wah wah world!! and it just got me thinking about the possibilities !!! like they're just two super positive sweet gfs that pick each other up not to mention they're super adorable together and the wah wah world mv was also just?? really cute??? idk it's just!!! i have never wanted to ship a rarepair more in my life!!

anyway some more thoughts on pjs in a different post because i haven't actually? had anywhere to put them yet? i am here yet again to complain about the lack of characters that a single tweet will allow me but i am also terribly confused as to how tumblr works anymore because it's been years and i never learnt anything properly either

but yeah! expect a post about characters and my thoughts about them i guess? later though, since it's pretty late right now and a disclaimer: i haven't finished reading all the band stories, but in ranking how well i know the stories of each of the bands, it'd probably be something like, VBS, L/N, MMJ!, WxS and then N25 (N25 i'm like,,, hesitant to get into because i heard some of the topics can get heavy so i've been putting off reading them for now but i'll get around to it eventually)

anyway that's my thoughts for today!! not sure if i should tag this with anything because i don't wanna accidentally end up in someone's search for fanart,,, again, not sure how,,, tumblr works..... i would probably switch here permanently if i did know... though then again it took me a whole year of owning a twitter account to actually start tweeting regularly so

hey! so ive been reading through all of the event stories, and i just finished what lies behind what lies ahead, and i noticed how at the end of the story (after episode 8) they did the little cinematic thing where it ended with the nightcord logo (i dont really know how to describe it, so heres a link: (https://youtu.be/G7U9HmRWsTg) do they play those at the ending of an arc, or just when something significant happens in the story, because i swear that one played at the ending of the tondemo wonderz event (i cant remember its name) and that event had wxs becoming park ambassadors and winning the show contest, and what lies behind what lies ahead ended with ena promising that she’ll wait for mizuki to tell her their secret, another significant plotline. and what signifies the “ending of an arc”? is it when the rotation ends? when the anniversary happens? i have no idea 😭

yeah those little cutscenes play at the end of an arc ender event and at in the prologue of every main story.

arc enders are usually once the unit has achieved their arc goal, with the exception of niigo. For example in WxS' first event, they enter the show contest, and they keep entering those up until Wonder Magical Showtime!, when they win and become park ambassadors. Their next arc starts with them going around doing promotional shows, before it starts to bring in the actual plot of discussing their inevitable disbandment. N25 as I said is an exception, because it's very much set up that the 1st arc will be about helping Mafuyu recover at the same time as they all face their own struggles, but starting from Secret Distance we get more focus on Ena realising that Mizuki is hiding something and then get a mixed event about it and have this plot serve as the arc ender. It's a bit messy but I think they decided somewhere along the line that they wanted Mafuyu to be the focus of the 2nd arc so just switched the focus onto Mizuki for 1st.

There isn't a set time for how long an arc takes to complete. Leo/need's first arc took place over 3 unit events and 2 mixed events, WxS took 1 rotation, MMJ and N25 took 1.5 rotations, and VBS took two. The second arcs had more of a time limit to work with, because they all have to end by 3rd anniversary, and this is pretty noticeable. Especially when you compare how WxS took a while to start properly addressing the disbandment thing, and N25 took a few events before they started talking about the issues with Mafuyu's mother, but then VBS took so long to finish their 1st arc they ended up jumping straight into their 2nd arc about the truth of RAD WEEKEND with no breather.
