At least up to the end of season two (where I’m currently at) you could maybe tell me Sammy is just super friendly with Yaz and I’d have my doubts but you could get away with it. But if you watched all the same episodes as me and told me Yaz isn’t already catching feelings I’d slap you to wake your ass up.

Big Eatie told her daughter about her Human—a small boy, dark-skinned with coarse hair. Little Eatie snuggled close to her mother, and warbled about how she saw him. How scared he smelled and how she couldn’t control her actions.

Big Eatie warbles lovingly and rubs her head against her daughter’s. There is only so much she can do to comfort her daughter.

Her Human is off the island; she doesn’t smell his scent anymore and she can’t find him even as she searched the island with her daughter and her granddaughters on her heels.

Her granddaughters titter sometimes that humans are fairy tails, made to scare babies. Her daughter snaps that they are real, she’s seen them and so has Big Eatie.

Big Eatie is old—older than most dinosaurs. She’s grown a reputation when she was younger as a fighter and she’s survived more than most. Only the younger animals, reckless and impulsive have challenged her and she’s got scars to prove how many she’s won. Especially ones that weren’t her actions.

But she is also on her way to the Beyond, like her ancestors. She sits in her alcove, with her family and thinks of her little Human.

Big Eatie misses him. She could protect him—if he ever wanted to come back. He’s young and small, scared and he was alone the last time she saw him. But if he did come back, she’d smell his scent on the wind, and in her thousands of the fire in the Sky’s up and down she hasn’t.

She flicks her head against her daughter’s. Little Eatie warbles, and Big Eatie does it back. Big Eatie knows that tomorrow, she will be gone.

(On the shore of America, a young man named Darius boreds a helicopter. He needs to see how the dinosaurs are doing, after all.

Little Eatie catches a scent from long ago—and raised her head from her mother’s body. She roars.)

You, yes you! Are you a fan of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous or any of the Jurassic World or Park movies? Do you love dinosaurs and wish you could see them up close and personal, minus the threat (hopefully)? Then this post is for you!!

With Chaos Theory coming out, the Camp Cretaceous fandom has risen again and I am absolutely all for it! And if you're like me and weren't very satisfied with how they ended it or did the 4th and 5th seasons then you'll want to hear this! I'm opening a community and roleplay server that welcomes the entire Jurassic fandom and will be focusing on my AU, Corrupted Files!

What is Corrupted Files you may ask? Well let me tell you! Corrupted Files is, in my opinion, how Camp Cretaceous should have played out, leaving the campers stranded on the island for three years until Owen, Claire, and their team returned to Isla Nublar in 2018 in the hopes of rescuing the dinosaurs from the doomed island (only to find some feral but capable teenagers who everyone thought were dead)! This AU will explore the harsh realities of island life, the unresolved traumas that the campers face (like Ben not even being looked for and just accepting it, like huh??), and even a hybrid or two that Dr. Wu left behind as well!

Original characters are more than welcome and there will even be slots open for more campers if anyone is interested! If you wish to join the roleplay aspect of this server you will also be given the ability to roleplay a dinosaur as well, whether it be Blue herself or a completely new character that the public hasn't seen due to leaping forth from your own imagination! All canon characters are playable as well, meaning that ships, headcanons, etc are up to you!!

We hope to make this a great experience and community going forward into Chaos Theory and we can't wait to have you! Please share this around as much as you want and feel free to reach out to me via comments, dms, etc if you are interested in joining! The server offers many options for those not interested in roleplay as well such as general discussion channels for theories and such, art and writing channels, giveaways (including Discord nitro and a ton of other fun prizes), and much more!

Idea #1: Isla Sorna AU: instead of washing up on Mantah Corp. island at the beginning of season 4, the campers get stranded on Isla Sorna and discover that Mantah Corp. has been conducting human-dinosaur experimentation in the old InGen compounds

Idea #2: Hybrids AU: taking place months before the fall of Jurassic World, Camp Cretaceous is a front to lure kids to the island for the purposes of human-dinosaur experimentation. But when the island evacuates, the campers are left behind to fend for themselves

Idea #3: I write both (cus I totally have the stength to do that, trust guys)

The Best Animated Series of 2022

2022.  Another year of Animation has come and gone, and so it is now time to do the one thing that I do on this site: make my top 10 list. This year should be an interesting mix, since I am allowing myself to put adult animated shows on the list for the first time.  But only if they are exceptional.  While this definitely made making this list harder this year, due to more content, it wasn’t as bad a deluge as I feared.  

Before we unveil the list, I also wanted to give a shout-out to the best thing that happened in 2022: the return of Gargoyles in comic form.  From Dynamite Publishing, written by series creator Greg Weisman.  Gargoyles is my favorite show of all time, it’s the reason I became enamored of Animation in the first place.  So I highly encourage everyone to check the comics out, if you can.  

And now for the list: Honorable Mentions: Green Eggs and Ham, Dragon Age Absolution, and Paranormal Park were all fantastic shows, I just thought that the following ten series were slightly better.  But all three of these shows ALMOST made the list as I was working on it, so I thought they belonged here.   And without further ado:

10) Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir

The French Action Adventure show about two superheroes in love with each other continues to go strong for it’s fourth and fifth seasons, which have included some of the best episodes of the show.

9) Legend of Vox Machina

Man I wish someone would animate my D&D campaign.

8) Kid Cosmic and the Global Heroes!

Craig McCracken’s amazing superhero show is the first one on this list that officially ended this year, and went out quite strong.  I cried at the end of the series.  Definitely worth a look.

7) Tales of the Jedi

I’m not much of a Star Wars fan.  It’s hard for me to even care outside of the Rebels series.  But this anthology series was so good, I’d be remiss to exclude it from the list.

6) The Dragon Prince: The Mystery of Aaravos

If I’m being honest, TDP was a bit weaker this season than previous showings.  We’ve had a time skip and the characters are now all in different places, which made it a little harder to get back into a groove with them.  But the story was still fantastic and I can’t wait to see how the next 4 seasons unfold.  

5) The Owl House

Why are you not watching this show?  You definitely SHOULD BE, it’s FANTASTIC.  The top four-through-two shows on this list were, IMO all so good, it was impossible to objectively place them in any order, so I’m listing them by my favorites.

4) Star Trek: Prodigy

This show taught me to love Star Trek again.  Everything from the voice work, to the animation, to the story is an absolute treat.  The easter eggs aren’t heavy handed, but will excite you trekkies when you see them, and the plot kept me fully excited and engaged all season long.

3) Amphibia

Another show we said goodbye to this year, the series finale had me in tears.  I just love these characters so much.  Everyone should watch this show, especially if they want something more from the property, and the defictionalized Marcy’s Journal hinted at some interesting future possibilities...

2) Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous

Another show that we said goodbye to this year, Season 5 was an excellent close to the series, especially following the slightly weaker season 4.  The epilogue hinted at the possibility for further hijinks with these characters, and I hope we get them.  This is my favorite entry in a Movie Franchise that I already love.

1) Young Justice Phantoms

WOO-HOO!  It’s here!  It’s finally here.  I can finally actually put the show I actually thought was the best of the year on my actual list, instead of just being an “Honorable Mention” like in past years.  This season was an incredible well written roller coaster of character and story arcs, that kept my attention and interest from beginning to end.  I cannot emphasize how good this show.  There was never any question where it was going to fall on my list, unlike the rest of the shows on here.  It was always going to be #1 because it was the best.  Watch it on HBOMAX while you still can, because given what has been happening over there lately, who who knows how long that will be.

Am I currently watching all relevant Jurassic Park/World media purely because I saw the trailer for Chaos Theory, looked into what that was all about, and fell in love with Yaz and Sammy in two seconds flat? Yes. Do I have any regrets? No, actually, this has been a delightful experience, all four movies I've seen (up to Jurassic World) and season one of Camp Cretaceous have ranged from pretty okay to really great. Would recommend.

Here’s something weird for you. So like they’re giving creative control of the new ‘Jurassic World’ movie to the guy who wrote the scripts of the first two films, the Spielberg ones, and reportedly Jenna Ortega and Glen Powell are being looked at for it. Specifically to reprise their roles from that five season long ‘Jurassic World’ animated series Netflix aired, where Ortega voiced a social media kid with pink hair who was stranded on Isla Nublar for six months after the events of ‘Jurassic World’, where occasionally an animated human would be eaten by animated dinosaurs. So like basically they’re bringing back the original writer to do a live action sequel film to this animated series, and I do not know what to think about this, like maybe ‘Ahsoka’ was sort of this but I don’t know if any of franchise has done this.

Hgjshs fun fact. Camp Cretaceous, the name of the animated series, was the first Jurassic Park property I watched properly. It came out around the time when my family got a Netflix subscription so I know the lore of this thing better than the actual movies.

Never saw the last season bc our TV broke, but can't really imagine it ended in a way that left it open for a full movie. Classic case of beating a dead horse imo

Also just because the same writers work on something doesn't necessarily mean it's closer to the soul of the original.

Who am I? INTRODUCTION

Alright, so I've been here for like..half a year now? I actually don't entirely know, but ish 6 months. But I feel like I want to introduce myself. Idk why.

- So. Hi. My name is, jk, not saying. But I've got a couple of nicknames. Yenyen/Chessie are the ones that people use. I've had yenyen since 4th grade, and honestly.. that is the only nickname people use. But I do in fact have been given Chessie as one too. But no one uses it phffff.

- My personality is complicated. For any camp cretaceous fan, I can easily describe myself as a softer version of Yaz. I have a strong Yaz side, but another big piece of my personality is just quirky and weird and funny (people say I'm funny.. so I hope they're telling the truth lol). But also, I've been told... SO. MANY. TIMES.... That I'm too nice for my own good. I'm kind and nice to everyone. I can't be mean to anyone. At least not on purpose. That is one thing that separates me and Yaz from being completely identical (personality wise). But ofc there are other small stuff that also separates us two a little but yeah.

- English is not my first language, so any bad grammar or wrong wording could appear, so I apologize for that. I also like to make up new words, so if there's a word you've never heard before, it's probably one of my new creations. Confusion can appear, you've been warned.

- On this blog.. is it a blog? I don't even know. Anyways, on this account thingy I mostly post about camp cretaceous/chaos theory. That is where my main interest is. That leads us to my next.. ugh, me and words. I don't even know what it's called I'm my language. Paragraph, maybe? Let's go with that. That leads us to my next paragraph.

- Favorite shows. I've got a LOT, but the ones that might appear on this account are probably just Jwct/jwcc and the owl house. There's a chance like stranger things and heartstopper could be joining us too. I know nothing. I could be posting/reblogging random crap as well, so nothing is for sure.

- I started watching camp cretaceous when season 3 had been released. I was in my "Jurassic world era", so I had been watching all the Jurassic world movies (ish), so I guess I just wanted to rewatch some of them again, and then I saw it. "Jurassic world camp cretaceous". I was like "OoO". I began to watch it, and fell in love with it RIGHT AWAY. Also, a funny fun fact, I started watching it when I was 12. And now I'm 15. This means I was as old as the youngest character when I started watching it, and I am NOW as old as the OLDEST characters are in the show. This show has been with me through all my teenage years so far. I'm so greatful for this show and these campers. They helped me through so much, and I could never thank them enough.

-The jwcc character i can relate most to is Yaz. 10000%. Like I said before, she is so me. My friend says I'm a Yaz, and she once said I even looked like Yaz, which is cool, but idk how cuz I'm not a brunette haha. But these are the bestest compliments I've ever gotten.
