Studio Ghibli films capture so many feelings that can't be put into words. That melancholy feeling I get watching any Ghibli film can be so overwhelming and it always renders me speechless. Something as simple as a hug makes me jealous or the way they make friends as quickly as they make enemies I yearn for a Ghibli life T^T
They all capture the unrecognised beauty in the mundane things of life e.g. an abandoned house overrun by nature, farmers casually tending to their crops, the quiet happenings in a pond or a sunny/rainy day all of which make you appreciate just how much you have and reflect on what you wish you had. Ghibli films make you wish you were part of their world, most don't even realise that you already are.
