Why I Love : Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota
Tumblr media
MARD KO DARD NAHI HOTA
Directed by Vasan Bala
Screenplay by Vasan Bala
Music by Karan Kulkarni and Dipanjan Guha
Cast : Abhimanyu Dasani, Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jimit Trivedi
OVERVIEW
Surya is born with a rare condition and cannot feel pain, so he decides to learn martial arts and catch criminals.
CRITICS VS. AUDIENCE (VIA ROTTEN TOMATOES)
Critics : 100% (16)
Audience : 85% (36)
DISCLAIMER
You aren’t pressured to agree with me. I am saying what my opinion is about this movie and if you disagree, that’s cool. Please don’t bash me for it. This is just my opinion!
WHY I LOVE IT
• The performances. If a filmmaker wants to make any movie anyone’s favorite, it is important to cast the right faces for this role. And fortunately for MKDNH, they did a great job. Abhimanyu Dassani on his debut role managed to capture the energy of Surya, a courageous but naive fighter, marvelously and carried out action sequences like a pro. Mahesh Manjrekar as Surya’s grandfather and Jimit Trivedi as Surya’s father was played very effortlessly. Supri was played by Radhika Madan and boy she did a great job carrying out the action sequences! I was sure she was a capable actor from her debut Patakka, she proved herself even further with MKDNH. Although all these actors did a great job with their respective characters, the one that stole my attention whenever he was on screen was Gulshan Devaiah as Jimmy, the rich psychotic villain, and Karate Man, the handicapped but strong master. He carried out the roles to perfection, fully embracing what each of the characters stood for and fully indulged into Karate Man’s guilt and Jimmy’s anger.
• The action sequences. Eric Jacobus, the action director, is the man behind all the greatness. Many superhero movies nowadays have clean-cut action sequences, and MKDNH is no different. All the sequences of carried out by the actors are amazingly coordinated and showed that each character had their own style of fighting. Karate Man's stunts happen on one leg and a crutch (sometimes without a crutch) and Supri’s with the help of a scarf and Surya’s just filmy martial arts. Each character’s creative fighting styles are captured well by Jacobus.
• The soundtrack. Karan Kulkarni and Dipanjan Guha have tailored a soundtrack for a unique movie nicely. “Rappan Rappi Rap” is flashy and fresh, exactly what the movie is. “Nakhrewali” is upbeat and colorful and shows Surya’s love-struck imagination well. My favorite is “Tere Liye” because of its vocals and it’s placement in slo-mo Surya-Supri moments. Although the placement of few of these songs is debatable (like “Nakhrewali’), I can’t deny the fact that they are catchy and vibrant
• The world building. Most of the movie is based upon how Surya sees the world, which is basically like every 90′s Bollywood movies. Hero defeats the villain, corrupt policemen beating up innocents, and winning over a girl from a fight. Although many movie-goers are tired of these tropes, what makes MKDNH stand out is the fact that it is aware of its wacky nature and gave the desired affect, unlike some movies that try to be good but turn out to be a laughter riot. Sometimes, all audience needs is some self-awareness.
CONCLUSION
MKDNH is not everyone’s cup of tea for sure, but it sure is a brave attempt on establishing a superhero rooted in India. Personally, the well choreographed action sequences and the wacky nature is a win. And I seriously hope for more Bollywood movies like this because it is such a breath of fresh air from the typical multi-starrer movies.

'Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota' review: Painfully Superb
‘Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota’ review: Painfully Superb
With Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (The Man Who Feels No Pain), writer-director Vasan Bala doffs his hat to the worn-out VHS martial movie tapes the 80s teen generation grew up on. Unable to afford a personal video cassette recorder (VCR) for the longest time, most summer holidays involved that very elaborate procedure of booking a VCR and a color TV for a night. Our gang that watched the fare (in a…

102 Not Out Story Movie Review Worldfree4u
102 Out Not tale: A 102-year-old dad Dattatraya Vakharia (Amitabh Bachchan) decides to ship his 75-year-old son Babulal (Rishi Kapoor) to an old-age household. He's doing this because he considers his son morose and nearly glamorized outlook towards lifestyle may come into his way of attempting to divide the entire file of the greatest surviving human. 102 maybe not Out Review: '' The distinctive and refreshing idea of'102 Out Not' is its own strength. visit here to read more movie reviews.
This film similar to many other Hindi films is about connections, however the story twists around the bond between two people obsolete 102 and seventy five. The story never gets overly complicated, but the narrative has been told from the view of just the three major personalities -- Dattatraya, (Amitabh Bachchan), the 102-year-old father, Babu (Rishi Kapoor), '' the 75 year-old son and Dhiru (Jimit Trivedi), their man friday. The film includes some areas from Mumbai, but a lot of it plays out over the walls of this Vakharias' household. Director Umesh Shukla's film turns its limits right into its strength. It does not deviate in to thrilling moments or create our jaws drop with unexpected twist, but it tries to be more pointlessly clever. And in doing that, it succeeds to give the viewers, the most useful of everything it has to offer. here you can also download the Deadpool 2 Full Movie In Hindi
Tumblr media
These two actors possess, within the span in these very long and illustrious careers, proved they have impeccable comic timing. Rishi Kapoor plays the grumpy old man using nonchalance. Although Amitabh Bachchan plays the loveable centenarian, with the zest of some 20-year-old, with flawless accuracy. Together, their chemistry and repartee makes for a fun encounter. It is amazing to find such contrasts come together and warm the cockles of your heart. It really is unusual to see just two leading performers in a picture who are sixty five (Kapoor) and 76 (Bachchan) years old in real daily life, doing work such charm through a narrative that'll come across an worldwide connect with this audience. For the generations who have grown up watching these actors on the silverscreen, this picture could bring from the nostalgia of the good days of the past. Youthful Jimit matches methods using his seasoned co-stars and provides performance that's just as lovely. The celebrities although are unable to pull off the temptations of Gujarati in the dialogues. Director Umesh Shukla's therapy is unmistakably light and breezy.
'102 Not Out' has brightly colored frames, attractive manufacturing design and also a visage that simply feels and looks agreeable. The creating by Saumya Joshi, that penned the original Gujarati drama that motivated the picture, is currently in song with all mood of the movie. The film also gets dramatic and emotional, specifically in the two scenes where Mr Bachchan shines with impactful monologues. Although, the dearth of some back story for Dattatraya's character and the sheer absence of some thing rather easy as dinner table conversations, that you'd expect to see between family members at a home, feels a bit odd. The predicaments within the film manage to attract you on, yet the creating someplace lacks thickness. Also to get a 101-minute picture it does feel somewhat too long. Films like'102 Out Not' are best enjoyed using the familymembers.
The ease by the picture defines the hierarchical connection amongst its characters is great. Such films have been like soft serve ice cream on a lively Sunday day. They create you happy. You can find parts in the picture at which emotions run high, but it's by no means too dull. It's just a happy and healthier entertainer that lets you know the living in the present time and taking advantage of everyday your life is that things. And era of class, as they say, is just a number.

They say...to find a gem..you got to rummage through tons of trash. The director Vasan Bala it seems has lived on a staple diet of pulp cinema all his life. And that resonates so perfectly in his debut film that comes more than half a decade after he was meant to debut with Peddlers. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota is more of a homage than a film. It takes all the goodness from the Manmohan Desai films of the 80s, mixes it with a generous dose of the Karate era films of Bruce Lee and comes up with a concoction that is delightful, fuzzy and super entertaining. Infact if the film had any of the younger superstars headlining it, then it would have opened on a blockbuster note. But less audience doesn't really affect Vasan Bala's ambition to dream big. He casts debutante Abhimanyu Dassani in a role that takes some creds but the young kid has some spunk and that holds this film together. Radhika Madan who was sensational in Patakha is kick ass in this film. This is as much her journey as it's Abhimanyu's. Gulshan Devaiya as the Karate master and the psychotic villain is a hoot. Very rarely does he get roles that brings out the magician inside him and this is that kind of a film which gives him the liberty to go all out! Mahesh Manjrekar as the guiding light is a force to reckon with. Jimit Trivedi as Surya's father is fun and Shweta Basu Prasad is smash in a cameo. One factor that makes the film immensely watchable is the film score. The fight sequences are set to rollicking tunes that make it even more entertaining. This for me has to be the most fun I have had at the movies this year and I strongly recommend you to watch it. It's a rare GEM! . .
