2022 is ending and the public needs to know what your most & least favorite kpop releases were this year! there was good stuff, bad stuff, underwhelming stuff, growers, etc. lets hear yours! :D

the way it would be easier to count the stuff i liked vs the stuff i disliked 😭😭 anyways here's my favorite releases this year...

20. generation - tripleS

fun, upbeat, the mv has a nice laid back "aesthetic" feel to it. the only ppl who didnt like it were miserable newjeans stans! 😭

19. hair cut - xdinary heroes

i actually liked the chorus... doesnt have much replay value but i do listen it whenever it comes on

18. antifragile - le sserafim

i DID love this one, it had to grow on me but its catchy af! 😭

17. forever 1 - snsd

this one had to grow on me too! but its super cute and sweet!,

16. mascara - xg

people who said they didnt like this are liars!! have you considered not messing with your mascara..?

15. nabillera - hyuna

there were a LOT of growers this year! even when i first listened to it i thought she was going for babe pt.2 and when i started liking it i knew that was in fact the case!

14. stupid cool - dawn

i got it on the first listen. i love the beat and i thought the lyrics were absolutely adorable :(

13. talk that talk - twice

pop perfection! the chorus is everything

12. aria - yerin

u either get it you dont! the two gfriend soloists deserve so much better it surprised me how much buddys slept on this release. but i was SEATED!

11. dice - onew

father was fathering through the whole album IDGAF!!! like every song is so good and well made, well sang. this is the superior kpop song named dice that was released this year. lol.

10. maison - dreamcatcher

its catchy af and the message is so REAL! ngl at first i thought they made that word up for the song but i looked it up and its french for "home" so 😭😭 extra points for making me think they came up with that word themselves

9. illusion - aespa

its cunty! catchy! i definitely got it on the first listen! (points off for the yummy yummy yummy in your tummy tummy tummy line tho)

8. bop bop! - viviz

if u hate this song you hate fun tbh! the thing i loved about this song is that it felt less like a debut song and more like a comeback song. we love you viviz.

7. good boy gone bad - txt

i had to pretend like i didnt get it on the 1st-and-a-half listen bcuz i was still very much in my txt anti era. but now im normal so i can appreciate what this song means to me ❤

6. jikjin - treasure

why were so many people pretending like they didnt fuck heavy with this song. perhaps broaden your mindset like. [korean korean] jikjiiiiiiinnnn woooooooooooooo. anw it feels like pop rocks to my brain and in the best way possible so its here.

5. last sequence - wjsn

thats gay clubbing music baby! something about this song feels so... not 2022. more like i opened a time portal and went back to mid-2017. idk why. but i love that vibe.

4. shut down - blackpink

the lyrics, production, that violin, everything about this song was an instant hit. no im not just saying that because blackpink was my first group. their comeback this year ate and served cunt severely. we love you blackpink.

3. 2 baddies - nct 127

i like thot music! the way ppl complained about it was so 😭😭 its an nct song what were you expecting. shut up. you either rock with it or you dont. like the song was made BY baddies FOR baddies. so if it isnt hitting...

2. pop! - nayeon

ms. im nayeon put the POP in kPOP with tjis song! and it was her SOLO DEBUT? PLEASEEEEEEE........ i love the girly cutesy bubblegum-y fun of this one. so. so. so. much. like everything about it SO iconic. she not only solidified herself as a capable soloist but as a pop princess too!

1. brand new - xiumin

are you surprised? im an exol after all! but fr this song had me GAGGED since the mv TEASER dropped! everything about it is so good, the beat, the lyrics, the vocals... everything! when it comes down to the mv minseok had $10 and a dream but he still made it work. that song was MADE to be a hit!! when i heard it i knew NOTHING ELSE released this year was gonna top it!

very honorable mentions that didnt make the list for lack of space :( (imagine they are in 2nd place with pop by nayeon)

I am more of a bg fan in general so probably know more of those..

NCT? Hell yeah. Don't know enough of the subgroups though tbh. Resonate? Badass. Kick it? Whoo! Make a wish? This is actually how I first found them!! so coooooooollllll. Boss? Rocking. Regular and love talk?? English AND korean versions??? Oh my lord. Also more sexy than they are allowed to be. Baby don't stop is where I first saw Ten whom became my bias! Nct Dream is the only subgroup I happened to follow more closely because I got so hooked on the hello future album. But 127 and U are probably my favourites overall. You could say I just love their badass vibes and how they drop beats. Definitely some of my favourite songs 💯👌🏻

ATEEZ?! I MEAN HELL YEAH 😆 definitely my ult group- found them through Hala Hala and have been hooked ever since. Best bois. Amazing music. Love it.

Enha - does that stand for enhypen? In which case hell yea! I followed then since debut, probably like most people atm since they are so new, and think they are so cute! But so young! Babies! I wish them all the best :) Sunoo is the cutest ray of sunshine though.

Blank2y and &Team - no clue! Lemme listen to some... blank2y sounds cool, I know a lot of people who happen to be into &Team, now I know what they mean :)

Txt - I know they have a lot of hype about them but I'm not THAT deeply into them. Some nice music though, Kai is adorable. Am currently learning good boy gone bad choreo :)

Oneus - back in college a friend introduced me into them through Valkyrie and that song still lives in my mind!!!

Cravity- again I know people who love them but I don't know them all that well, but I love cloud 9.

Bts - well everyone knows them by now!

Treasure - ooooohhh! So I love the versatility of my three fave songs of them! I found them first through treasure, lovely and happy! Then Jikjin - ma gawd can I rave to that. And I love hello because it is such a happy choreo to dance! Wheey!

TNX - never heard of them, but I dig the way they drop beats! I'll listen to them more :)

Seventeen - great! Love the members, great music, always great albums and themes and looks!

Exo - such a legend. So many good songs. Love them.

Wei - also not known, but it sounds well made!

Viction - yet another group I hear a lot about, but don't know much of. As I'm listening - I didn't know Mayday was theirs, nice!

E`last - dangerous is very cool!

Xdheroes - is a bit of a hit or miss for me, I dig their songs but some take such funky twists that they kind of lose me halfway through.

Skz - badass, they write great songs, 3racha is badass, they really have awesome rappers. Bang chan is such a cute leader, the Aussies are adorable with their accents and Felix's low voice is legendary. All great guys 💯 arguably the group I know second best after ATEEZ.

OnlyOneOf- libido is one of my guilty pleasures to listen to for sure. I love their daringness and energy and performance. My first reaction tho was 'omg they look so young, are they even consenting adults. Is is okay for me to look at them?' Only to find out they are all a minimum of three years older than me lol. They look like babies :) as long as they feel comfortable doing wat they are doing and not pressured - I'll support them!

Ab6ix is awesome, they deserve more love! Love their rapping skills and vibes. Their music always makes me happy and groovy!

P1h - Keeho LOL legend. Great music too though, very badass vibes. Makes you feel cool hehe.

he is been that good since day 1 though its just that han do much better these days HSJKHS there's something about seungmin that makes you attached to him like really! we can talk about him all the time, he's really irresistible and you won't get bored when it comes to him 🥺

jaemin's smile is contagious too 😭 oh yes, treasure is so unique! i love their jikjin era and the bsides as well, my bias is yoshi 👀 my enhypen bias is either heeseung or jay?? my most favorite album is the dimension:dilemma and as for txt my bias is soobin, i don't have any favorite albums yet since they're all good and day6 as well, it's so hard to choose 😫 how about you? do you have other favorite groups? who are you biases too 😗

actually based on my experience, price ranges depends on the demand (sparks) han's pcs are actually expensive than seung (in my country) well in korea, seungmin's pcs are the ones who are expensive along with hyunjin and lee know, but i think it's about all the sparks just like how han's pcs grew expensive during christmas eveL era (those purple ones) but it changes all the time, sometimes they all have the same prices or some members have high prices and sometimes depends on the popularity of the member too 👀

in my dreams really hit the spot where almost every one can relate and yeah! beg for me is a good song too💕

i've been watching han closely nowadays and his stage presence!! 💯 i watched this particular facecam from the recent era and even when he isn't center, he keeps that energy up and i don't observe that on every idol. so admirable. aside from that, he's hilarious. that's just the cherry on top.

i think i'm on the waning stages of my seungmin brainrot but i think it's just bc i'm getting busy. talk abt irresistible. i've never seen a kpop guy appeal to me so much in the cuteness spectrum bc i'm never a fan of that??? and he's just standing there, blinking.

we have the same treasure bias! jikjin literally carried my self-confidence last month. do you watch their reality show, tmap? i miss enhypen! i feel like they shd be making a comeback by now but i realized that they did but i just didn't like it that much dkjskf also that's interesting, i've been thinking of that album lately but my fave is still border:carnival 😭 i was never interested in enhypen until that era. i always struggled in trying to identify who was who but somehow i always ended up saying sunoo appealed to me the most (even in different looks, in different eras, even when i didn't recognize him) up until b:c jake bc he def bias wrecked me :D ALSO, do you agree with the skz 2min similarities with enha sunghoon and jake?

i feel like my current bias for txt is soobin as well just bc of their interview with jessi T_T i'm such a sucker for soft boys recently. it feels weird. as for day6, i just look out for their songs. i don't think i have an established bias in the group, nor a fave album, but i do have a favorite track: not fine :') and no one ever talks abt it 😤

as for the groups i stan, there's svt (highly recommend if you need laughing pills, i swear all 13 of them are hilarious and they share a single braincell) and recently ggs ive, itzy, stayc (all casual tho)

my bestfriend collects han and yeah, she did mention that han's christmas evel pcs were suddenly high priced w/c was a bummer for her bc lino was already expensive and this other dude too. anw, STOP OVERPRICING PCS THEYRE LITERAL CARDBOARDS DKAJFK

Omg didn't jikjin come out only recently? That's incredible you're so good at giffing - wish that was me! I'm only familiar with treasure from their debut but didn't keep up despite their talent although the visuals from jikjin are tempting me 🤧 I'm also not all that familiar with shinee as a group per se but more of their individual activities and I have to agree all those eras are amazing so I might need to revisit them and you're sooo valid - I only got into svt in the weird limbo between ready to love and attacca so I'm still a baby carat 😅 but Hoshi is such a bias wrecker - mhmmm you have taste 😏 ✨

yeah! jikjin was february 15th-ish if i remember correctly? posted my first small set a few days later (it's the one i recently remade lmao) after struggling a Lot to learn. but anyway, thank you so much!! i still have a lot to learn but i think accepting that i'm learning has helped a lot <3

if you wanna get into treasure, i absolutely recommend it! i don't think there's a song of theirs that i dislike tbh (which... i unfortunately cannot say for svt and shinee lmao someone out there would call me a fake fan for that), but there's also only so many songs out rn.
