Many of my photos of 2022 are taken at the beach, during the day while people enjoyed their time. I watched the beautiful sunsets until the sky turned into indigo blue with the smattering of white twinkling stars. This was one of my favorite #photojournalistic moments. A #surfer placed his #surfboards on the beach while he walked away and talked to his friend under the pier. It was by happenstance that I was nearby when I saw this opportunity. I will post the accompanying photo when the male surfer stood near his surf boards and watched the remaining sunset. This was a memorable event for me. It was a Chinese New Year event in 2017 for the community where there were dance performances, tea ceremonies, Chinese handwriting, candy making, and face painting to name a few activities. There were also a variety of vendors and educational booths in regards to what was available to the Chinese American community.
