Today was a special day! I spent it exploring the ancient city of Jerusalem and got to visit a number of very mystical sights, that where part of the roots of some major religions. I myself don’t consider myself religious, I am just spiritual. I am nothing in particular, but down with everything at the same time (no separation). I like it when religions can help us get in touch with our divine nature (as I enjoyed today), but I don’t like it when they create a separation or even a fight between different cultures (as can happen in this holy city). Either way, today Arianne and me hiked around the Mount of Olives, an ancient Jewish cemetery, where we went into the tomb of Mother Mary and also saw the place (now a chapel) where Jesus ascended into heaven! We then entered the walls of the old city and saw the “Western Wall”, which is a super holy place for Jews, who place written prayers inside the wall’s cracks. I was surprised I was allowed to do the same and asked for peace in the Middle East. All these religions are one family and should learn to live together in peace. We then continued exploring the old tunnels and streets of this city lost in time, including the Muslim and christian markets, super special! To end it all, we found the “Church of the Holy Sepulcre” (aka Golgotha) and saw/touched/meditated in the spot where Jesus was crucified, laid on a stone slab and buried (temporarily). I grew up as a catholic, so the whole huge complex has very touching and beautiful to me (I kept getting chills!). So grateful to have experienced all this, and excited to see a bit more in the days to come! The oldest Bible verse ever found is 2,600 years old and is the Priestly Blessing of Numbers 6:22-27. This was found in a forgotten and undisturbed tomb outside of the heart of Jerusalem, probably in the tomb of a priest from the First Temple Period.
