»Terror ist Terror. Terror ist nicht Widerstand, nicht Dekolonisation, nicht Befreiung. Jede Relativierung der Hamas und anderer islamistischer Vereinigungen ist antisemitisch, weil der Kern ihrer Ideologie der Hass auf Jüdinnen:Juden ist und zur Vernichtung aller Jüdinnen:Juden aufruft.«
Am 7. Oktober 2023 beging die palästinensische Terrororganisation Hamas das schlimmste Pogrom an Juden und Jüdinnen seit der Shoa. Ob in Be’eri, Kfar Azza oder auf dem Nova Musikfestival – das offene Ziel der Hamas war die Tötung möglichst vieler Juden und Jüdinnen. Ausmaß und Grausamkeit des genozidalen Massakers stellen eine Zäsur nicht nur für Israelis, sondern, wie sich zeigen sollte, für Juden und Jüdinnen weltweit dar. Der vorliegende Band soll dazu beitragen, diese Zäsur zu verstehen. Er versammelt Essays und Analysen, die den politischen Diskurs nach dem Pogrom auf seine Fallstricke und Subtexte hin durchleuchten. Die Autoren und Autorinnen erheben Einspruch gegen den nur offenkundig gewordenen Antisemitismus und die Entsolidarisierung mit Israelis und Juden und Jüdinnen weltweit auch in großen Teilen der Linken.
Welche Narrative prägen diese Entsolidarisierung, warum ist die so genannte Israelkritik vor allem im Kultur- und Kunstbetrieb so verbreitet, was hat es mit der Palästinasolidarität an den US-Unis auf sich, wie nutzt die politische Rechte den Antisemitismus für ihre Zwecke und andere Fragen stehen im Fokus dieses Bandes.
