Nya has the best writing out of anyone in skybound an I will not hear otherwise

(this is just a rant but I will finish my argument with evidence soon but I was feeling like yelling at phone)

Just watched a video completely butchering her character.

I’m fuming about Nya’s treatment in general like RRRRR SHE IS LIKE THE BEST WRITTEN. Most people I see talk about her never tried to see Nya’s motivation.

And because she’s grumpy and won’t take bullshit treatment. And a large part of the audience Treat her like she’s a brat for it like…

Her ark against all odds is great. The only reason so many people don’t get that is ALL because of the awful framing and them focusing on Jay at all the wrong times I PROMISE YOU.

The audience is made to focus on Jay’s feelings in moments that should’ve been about her.

Nya always thought she would end up with Jay like she said later on. She always loved him She wasn’t trying to hurt or play with his feelings but she had bigger problems, and she simply didn’t want to be dating him. Because she hated how that would make her be perceived. Which was the issues that she overcame by the end.

She is frustrated by way she’s perceived by the city. They only see her as her gender. A self insert of sorts. (There’s a scene about it first ep subtle but boils my blood) Not a person. She HATES IT.

Nya has A lot more going on like it was never her Job to walk on eggshells around Jays feelings. She was having a lot harder of a time that first episode but more screen time was dedicated to Jays moping about her.

I hate people. (My Addressing of Recent NCT Rumors)

I don't understand why some people just want to ruin lives for no reason! Who is so bored that they will make up some baseless rumors about idols who are just trying to live their lives like the rest of us?!

I feel awful for both Johnny and Haechan and having to go through all of this because some women girls though it would be fun to start a scandal. I've seen the recent pics of Haechan at the airport and he looks so tired (I mean, who wouldn't be after two different awful rumors are started about you in the span of 2 days), I just hope that the boys are okay and know that these supposed "fans" are crazy people who have nothing better to do with their time!

Fr this is so damaging to not only them and their company's reputations but also their own mental health and even feelings of safety in their own fanbase/community! I'm glad SM addressed the allegations but I also know there are some people who will never believe the debunking because it came from SM. As much as I don't like SM and wish they would do more protecting their idols, I believe their announcements about things like this. I just hope other people can do the same.

I wish the best for NCT and both Haechan and Johnny individually. This is all so messed up.

You see Vivid Street has an absolute insane "partner culture" where your singing partner is your everything and you're by each other's side forever which is why both Akito and Touya are so ride-or-die for each other and why it took An so long to find one because it has to be *special*. Considering the absolute insane amount of ship bait going on not only with those two but also with Arata and Souma we can go in with the assumption that it's meant to be a metaphor for romantic relationship because have you seen those cards. Now taking that into account have you noticed that Taiga and Ken had a long-standing rivalry and kinda considered themselves partners but Nagi never had anyone than her team. She's Ken's and Taiga's teammate and family but she's neither's partner and she also doesn't have one outside of RADder which kinda puts her outside of the whole "partnering up is a Serious Business" storyline, despite the fact that she's obviously aware of the culture as evident in LUtF chapter 7.
