Some of my Star Wars OCs I drew recently for digital art practice: the crew of the YT-1000 freighter Acklay, around 10 BBY. From the top:

Kass Copek - Gungan, Force-sensitive thief, copilot

Jax Terava - Zabrak, smuggler, captain and pilot

Ayy “Hail” Luroon - Twi’lek, mechanics specialist

Athilai Bar’yet - Bothan, information specialist

R5-B22 “Bee” - Astromech droid, slicer

Their intro story is still in the drafts stage at the moment, but for now, I’m just happy to have finally figured out all their designs. They’re the greatest rebel scum in the galaxy, they’re going to crush so many stormtrooper helmets and break so many chains, and maybe even become an accidental found family along the way.

I totally want to know more about your Jax after reading your tags! The fact they’re both Zabrak too! Tell me more 🥹

Also if it helps mine is really called Jaxton but Jax for short! 🤣

Oh man, well now that I think about it they're probably very different in character, lol - your Jaxton being a chill Force-sensitive Jedi-turned-healer, my Jax being a Force-average mercenary-turned-smuggler who is somewhat reckless and incredibly stabby.

So my guy is named Jax Terava, and he's an Iridonian Zabrak, born around 50 BBY. He grew up learning to fight and went into the Iridonian planetary defense force straight out of school, as per his family's tradition. However, the military career didn't agree with his chaotic tendencies; he was soon discharged for troublemaking, and joined a mercenary guild instead. While doing mercenary work in the Outer Rim, he was captured and enslaved as a gladiator, and by the time he escaped several years later, he was pretty done with the whole warrior thing. Turned out his epic reflexes meant he was a natural pilot, and after learning to fly while working aboard various starships, he acquired his own ship and started work as a free trader. Later, during the rise of the Empire, he became involved with various nonhuman resistance groups and ended up as the co-leader of a rebel cell aboard his ship, the Acklay. He started off just wanting to enjoy his freedom and avoid the Empire as much as possible, but became reluctantly dedicated to the cause, and gained that sweet sweet character development in return.

Some more fun facts:

preferred weapon is a zhaboka (Iridonian polearm) or vibrolance; also has an extensive knife collection

likes spicy food, "spicy" here meaning "he can eat the Star Wars equivalent of a ghost pepper and not break a sweat"

inclined to ignore his personal issues in favor of partying, punching Imperials, and acting like an overconfident hotshot
