[Back in the Village]

You and Taejun helped Jaerin organize the new books that her parents had ordered for the library before going back outside into the village.

“What in the world-” “Oh my god why is the library a Prince magnet?” Taejun whispered.

Both your and Taejun’s eyes turned towards Jaerin and she held her hands up defensively.

“Don’t ask me!!!”

“Yunho-oppa!!! This is for you!!!” One of the kids shouted as they held out a flower crown for the prince, “And this is for Mingi-oppa!!!”

The kid held out a flower bracelet for Mingi and Yunho laughed.

“Maybe you should give it to him yourself kiddo~” He said, “I think he would smile if you did!” “Really?” The little kid’s eyes widened before she started smiling, “Okay!! I will!!” “Wonderful, now go!” He said.

The kid quickly placed the flower crown into Yunho’s hand and ran off to the other prince who was sitting down in front of the library.

“Mingi-oppa!!!” She held out the flower bracelet she made for the prince, “This is for you!!” Mingi looked at her and smiled as he held out his hand, “Thank you~” The little girl placed the bracelet on his wrist and giggled, “Oppa has a pretty smile!!”

“You have an even prettier one!” He laughed and turned towards the guard who was standing next to him, “Isn’t that right Leedo?”

The guard gave a slight smile and nodded, “You are right, your highness.”

“Leedo?” She tilted her head and looked up at the guard, “Are you also a oppa?” “H-Huh?”

“He is indeed~” Mingi told her as he fixed the flower bracelet around his wrist. The girl smiled at the guard, “Leedo-oppa!”

Mingi ruffled her hair and laughed, “You’re so adorable~” “Haeunnie, come over here we’re playing tag!!” Yunho shouted from afar.

Haeun’s smile widened and she bowed to Mingi before running off with the other kids who were with Yunho, San, and Jongho.

Mingi then sighed and leaned back onto the stair behind him, looking up at the sky. His head fell a little bit more back and he spotted you.

He was tempted to look away from you but he just couldn’t.

He was intrigued by you for some reason.

You noticed him looking at you and you just smiled at him before he turned away shyly.

After a few seconds, the prince looked back at you to see if you were still looking.

And guess what? You were.

You smiled again and waved at the prince before sitting down next to him on the stairs.

“Good day, your highness.”

His eyes met yours and he stuttered, “G-Good d-day…” “I’m [Y/n]. It’s nice to meet you Prince Mingi.”

“You as well, Miss [Y/n]... Have you had a good day so far?” The prince asked you.

You nodded and smiled, “I suppose I have, I helped my friend in the library. Have you had a good day your highness?”

Mingi smiled, “I’ve just been spending time in the village with my brothers and the children.”

“Ah so thats how you got that bracelet right?”

He looked down at his wrist and nodded, “Yup, one of the kids made me this haha”

You stared at the bracelet, noticing that it was made up of lilies and cornflowers, held together with a piece of yellow string.

“It's very cute,” You commented as you stared at it.

“I-Uhm, Thank you haha..” The prince cursed mentally as he stuttered.

Before you could say another word, his guard tapped his shoulder in a hurry.

“Your highness, we must go back to the castle. You have a scheduled lunch with your father this afternoon.”

“I-Uh, just a moment Leedo.” The prince said before looking at you, “I hope to see you around, Miss [Y/n].” “You most probably will, your highness.” You smiled.

He then stood up and brushed the dust off his pants. Mingi then turned towards you and bowed, “Farewell, Miss [Y/n].” You stood up as well and courtsied, “Farewell, Prince Mingi.”

He was about to walk away but then he did something that had already happened before.

“Just call me Mingi. We’re friends now right?”

The prince then winked and waved as he walked off with his guard.

You stood there, surprised with what the prince had just done.

“Jaerin I don’t think the library is a prince magnet- [Y/N] IS A PRINCE MAGNET!”

“Taejun, quiet down! The whole village can hear you!”

[Meanwhile with Prince Mingi and Leedo…]

“wHAT gOT inTO mE-” “Your highness please calm down, it’s like you’re going through puberty..”

Mingi sighed, “I literally told her to call me Mingi!! And I winked- wHO aM I?”

“Your highness… Calm down.” “bUT I caN’T!”

The prince continued rambling and his guard sighed out of defeat.

“I can’t tell Ravn hyung about this… This can be a weakness he could use against the prince..” He thought to himself.

Once the two princes arrived at the castle, all of the castle staff stopped what they were doing to welcome them back.

“Welcome back, your highness.”

“Thank you~ Is anyone home at the moment?” Seonghwa asked one of the maids.

She smiled, “Prince Hongjoong and Prince Wooyoung are in the lounge. The others are spending time with the children in the village.”

“Wonderful. Please continue on with your work.”

“Have a good day Prince Seonghwa, you as well Prince Yeosang.” The maid then went back to caring for the plants that surrounded the walkways of the castle.

The two princes walked through the grand hall to the lounge.

The grand hall had pearl white walls that were decorated with beautiful silver lights and a giant chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

In between the lights were portraits of every son with their father, each of them wearing their personalized crown which was worn for big events or meetings.

Servants of the royal family hustled around the castle as they cleaned up any dust that was around, a perfect clean area for the royal family.

“I wonder where the others are…” Yeosang whispered as they approached the grand lounge of the castle.

Seonghwa smiled at his brother, “I’m sure they are enjoying themselves wherever they are, Yeosang.”

“Of course..”

The two finally arrived at the doors of the lounge, just when the doors opened on their own.

Prince Yeosang looked inside and was tackled by one of the other brothers.

“Sangie~ You’re back!!!”

“Good day to you too, Wooyoung..” He replied, “Please get off me.”

Wooyoung smiled at Yeosang and looked up in thought, “Hmmm.. No!”

“Jung Wooyoung, I will make sure that your precious horse disappears for a week.”

The boy’s eyes widened and quickly got off of him, allowing Yeosang to get up finally.

Another brother bowed towards Seonghwa and Yeosang, greeting them.

“Welcome back Seonghwa, Yeosang. How was your trip to the village?” “It was wonderful, thank you for asking Hongjoong.” the eldest replied.

“Of course.. Shall we sit?”

The four brothers quietly walked over to the white chaise couches that had gold accents to them. Once they were all seated, a somewhat awkward silence came over them.

Wooyoung tapped his feet together anxiously, as he was always an energetic boy.

“So… Did you guys see any cute people? Like people who have caught your interest??” He asked to break the silence.

Hongjoong stared at the two brothers, “Yeah. Anyone who may be your potential queen or king?” “I found the girl that I met when I was younger.” Yeosang said with a slight smile on his face, “She’s still staying at the village library..”

Wooyoung wrigged his eyebrows with a smirk forming on his face, “Oooo, so Yeosang found his lost princess?”

The boy avoided eye contact with his brother and whispered, “Shuddup..”

“I also found a girl who caught my eye. She’s one of Miss Lost Princess’s friends.” Seonghwa told them to divert the attention from his shy brother.

“Oh really? What’s her name?” Hongjoong asked him, “Or are you going to be like Yeosang and not tell-” “Her name is [Y/n]. I think her family runs a flower shop in the village.”

Hongjoong sat up and smirked towards his brother, “I’ll have to meet her.. Can’t have you have another admirer who follows you everywhere.” “E-Excuse you?” Seonghwa stared at Hongjoong with wide eyes before glaring at him, “You wouldn’t.” “I’m kidding... Or am I?” He said, “You do have a lot of admirers, I’m just worried about what would happen if you broke all their hearts for this one girl.”

His glare started to feel like daggers stabbing into one’s eyes, “I will not be breaking anyone’s hearts, Hongjoong. That I am sure of.”

The two boys started glaring at each other, none of them planning to stop soon.

“okAY sTOp aCTING LIke yOU bOTh aBOUt tO kILL eAch oTher!!” Wooyoung screeched in fear, “Your glares are scaring me!!”

“They wouldn’t kill each other. Hongjoong-hyung doesn’t like fighting.” Yeosang said with a sigh, “Just calm down.”

Seonghwa turned his head away from his brother and sighed, “Fine, this was stupid anyways.” “Couldn’t agree more.”

The four brothers sat in the room silently, the lack of sound starting to feel suffocating.

One man stood by the door, smirking as he walked away to his quarters.

In his quarters he sat down at his desk where a raven sat on his quill.

“Darling raven, I have a message to send.” The raven cawed loudly, the sound echoing throughout the room.

“Thank you darling~”

[In Ravaia]

Three princes sat on the thrones of the grand, dark castle, waiting for a familiar raven to arrive.

“When do you think hyung’s message is going to come?” One of them asked.

“Just be patient Hwanwoong. It’ll arrive shortly.”

A window was open wide near the thrones, gentle winds blowing through the whole room.

The eldest in the room sighed, “I thought it would be coming in today..” “The raven is coming today, hyung. It just takes a while, you know that..” Suddenly a loud caw was heard and all their heads turned towards it.

Hwanwoong held out his hand to the sound and a black raven landed on it with a scroll in it’s mouth.

His other hand took out the scroll and unrolled it, reading the message that was on the paper.

“Even the beautiful trees and flowers wither.”

[Flashback]

Children ran around on the dirt roads that were all around the village.

“Tag! You’re it!” one of the kids shouted as they tapped the shoulder of on of their friends.

“Taejun come back here!” The boy the kid tagged shouted.

“YOUNGMIN IS IT!!!” Taejun shouted as he ran away from the boy and towards the other kids.

“Jun don’t run near us!!” One of the girls shouted.

“Boohoo Yiren!” He said with a smirk, “YOUNGMIN THE GIRLS ARE OVER HERE!!!”

The boy ran towards them and they all ran around everywhere, having fun while being themselves.

The sun was starting to set and the youngest out of all of them was panting.

“I’m tired” He said in a cute tone.

One of the girls sighed, “Minnie let’s go sit down then.” “Minjae no want to!!!” The boy said with a pout, “I no want stop fun!”

“You little kid..” Taejun laughed, “Minjae, we can have fun tomorrow okay?” “But me want fun with Rin-noona!” Minjae told him, “Rin-noona!!” “Kiddo we’ll have fun tomorrow okay?” The girl told him, “I promise.” “See Minjae! Jaerin said we’ll have fun tomorrow!” [Y/n] told him with a smile.

The six kids all laughed and already started planning out what they would be doing tomorrow.

“We should make cloaks tomorrow!!” Taejun exclaimed, “I can steal some fabric from Taeil-hyung’s stash!!!” “Ye ye!!! Minjae want cloak!!!” Jaerin frowned, “Stealing from your brother really, Taejun? Why don’t you just ask him?”

“Where’s the fun in that miss bookworm? Hm?” The boy retorted.

The two glared at each other for a while and it was silent.

You could hear a pin drop with how quiet it was.

“lIKE aWKwarD sILENCE!!!” Youngmin shouted.

“cAW CAw cAw!”

The twins laughed together and the rest of the group stared at them before laughing along with them.

“Jaerin! [Y/n]!” The kids heard someone shout.

They all turned around and saw the brother of Jaerin waving at them.

“Kun!” His little sister shouted with a smile as she ran up to him.

He smiled and ruffled her hair, “Hey there kid. I’m here to pick you and [Y/n] up. Remember you two are having a sleepover today.” “nO fAIr yOu gIRLs aRE haVING a sLEEPover wiTHOUT mE!” Taejun shouted with a pout.

“We hang out everyday Jun, chill.” [Y/n] told him with a laugh.

“Everyday hm? WHAT ABOUT EVERY NIGHT HMMMMM????”

Youngmin placed his hand over Taejun’s mouth and sighed, “I’m sorry hyung.. You can take [Y/n] and Jaerin! We’ll be heading home too!” “No need to apologize, kiddo. Say hello to Youngho-hyung for me.” Kun told him, “[Y/n] let’s go?” “Coming!” She shouted and ran to join Jaerin and her brother.

[Present Day]

“I miss those days..” Taejun laughed, “If only the twins didn’t have to move to Ravaia..”

“And your brother didn’t have to go study in Florgia.” You said with a sigh, “At least Jaerin studies in the kingdom still.” The boy grinned, “Rinnie will always be here as long as her family’s library is here~ And I’ll always be here as long as I live!”

You tilted your head in confusion, “Right before we were talking about our memories you just said that you were gonna die because of Prince Woo-” “AH BAH BUH BUH! SHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Taejun shouted, “ qUIET [Y/n]!”

People started staring at you two and you both stared at each other blankly in confusion.

“Okay people stop staring!” Someone shouted, “It’s very impolite!”

The girl had long brown hair, tied up into a ponytail with a white flower clip covering the tie. She had a white button-up shirt and a knee-length black pleated skirt on with a matching navy tie and black flats.

“Rin! You’re back!” Taejun exclaimed, “I thought your lessons went on for another hour!”

The girl nodded, “They were but Mr. Kim was summoned to the castle. I was able to leave early because of it.”

“So Jaerin, what do you have to teach us today?” You asked with a smile.

She sat down at the table where you and Taejun were sitting at and shrugged, “Sadly, I have nothing to teach. I just reviewed what I learned last time.”

The boy who was once sitting, stood up and gave Jaerin a back hug, “Did you see any of the princes~ Did you see Prince Yeo-” “I will shove a book down your throat Moon Taejun.” She cut him off with a glare as she pulled his arms off of her.

You laughed at the two and they started laughing along with you.

“But seriously. I heard some of the Princes were coming today.” Taejun said, “I just didn’t know which ones.” “Now where did you hear that from?” You asked, “The old fashion ladies that throw fabrics on you?” The boy laughed and shook his head, “Nope! Prince Seonghwa is coming to the village today along with another prince to check out the Library. I heard from Mrs. Jeon.” Jaerin’s eyes widened and she abruptly stood up, almost falling.

“THEY ARE WHAT?!” She shouted.

Jaerin’s family ran the Village Library and not many people go there unless they want to read some ‘stupid’ books or if they were students, which are rare.

The library was a normal hangout place for the trio and all the books meant so much to Jaerin as she could learn more and help teach her friends something with them.

Plus she has an emotional connection with it as her family has run it for generations and her family has done so many things together there.

“They are going to the library dear. Now chill~” Taejun said.

You nodded, “Rin, everything will be fine. Don’t worry!” “dON’t wORRY?!” Jaerin gasped, “MY PARENTS ARE OUT OF TOWN AND KUN IS PROBABLY WITH TEN AND SICHENG! There’s no one at the Library!”

You and Taejun patted her shoulders and grabbed her bags for her.

“Well then, no more time to waste! We are heading over to the Library!”

The three of you rushed to the library to clean up and prepare for the Princes’ arrival.

Once you were all in the library, you all grabbed brooms to sweep the floors and you helped Jaerin organize the tables, front desk, and books.

Taejun continued to organize the books that were left on the desks as Jaerin went to the back to get some new books out.

“I can’t believe the royals are actually coming here..” You said.

“Same here. When I first heard about it I didn’t believe it until my parents told me it was true.” The boy said, “The princes rarely go to the village library since they always use the royal library in the castle.”

You finished sweeping the floors and the dust that was once on the wood floors was now gone and the desks were clean with no clutter on them.

“I wonder why they are coming here..”

Taejun was about to respond when the doors of the library suddenly opened. You both turned around and saw two males standing in front of you.

The taller one was wearing a purple and silver coat over a white button up shirt and the other one was wearing a red and gold coat over a black button up shirt.

A gold pin could be seen on the right side of the coats. The pin of the royals. The princes had finally arrived in the village.

You and Taejun then bowed and greeted the princes.

Taejun smiled, “Good day your highnesses. I hope the travel wasn’t hectic.” One of the princes grinned, “Good day to you too. The travel was just fine.”

You looked at the prince and it was the one and only Prince Park Seonghwa.

The other was Prince Kang Yeosang, as he wears red and gold.

Yeosang stared at the two of you, his gaze piercing through you both like a knife, “I’m looking for Qian Chengren.” The name was unfamiliar to you and Taejun and you just blankly stared at them.

“U-Uhm, could you repeat that your highness?” You asked politely.

Yeosang repeated it, “Qian Chengren.”

You looked at Taejun and he shrugged, which was unusual as he knew everyone in the village.

“I’m sorry uhm-“ You tried explaining but Jaerin came out of the back room.

She set down the new books on a desk and bowed, “Hello your highnesses.”

“Good day Madam. We’re looking for Qian Chengren.” Seonghwa explained, “Do you know who that is?”

Jaerin smiled, “That would be me, your highness. But I am known to others as Jeon Jaerin. I apologize for the confusion.”

“No need to apologize.” Yeosang said with a smile as he bowed, “It’s a pleasure to meet you again.”

Her once confident mask was then gone, she was confused and nervous again.

You walked to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

“A-Again? D-Did we meet earlier?” She asked.

The prince nodded, “When we were younger. We were also with Prince Hwanwoong of Ravaia.”

Taejun spoke up, “Wait wait wait, so you met Rin when you were younger. And now you’re talking to her after a lot of years?” “Precisely.” He responded.

“Then why is Prince Seonghwa here?” You questioned.

The older prince sighed, “I only came to pick up a book. The Stories of the Constellations?” Jaerin smiled, “We just got some of those today. I shall go get you one.”

She turned around to go back to the storage room when Seonghwa spoke.

“Thank you Jaerin. Yeosang go with her.”

“Yes hyung.” The boy obediently said and went to follow your friend.

The two left you all in the room as they went to grab the book Prince Seonghwa ordered.

Complete silence filled the room. Taejun went to sit on one of the dark and old tables and you just fidgeted with your sleeve.

“So what are your names?” Both your heads turned towards the prince and you just looked down and away from his gaze. “I’m Moon Taejun. My parents run the clothing and tailoring shop.” Your friend said and then he pointed towards you, “That’s [L/n] [Y/n]. Her family runs the flower shop. Sorry about her.. She can be an awkward chicken at times.”

“Hey! That’s mean!” You exclaimed with a pout as you looked at Taejun.

The prince chuckled, “You two remind me of Prince Mingi and Prince Wooyoung.” A screech was then heard and then a body was on the ground.

“And you say I’m the awkward chicken.” You shook your head at Taejun, who was on the ground, frozen.

“sHUSH tHE friCK fRACkY uP yOU bURNT aVOCAdO!” Taejun stuttered out.

“How am I a burnt avocado now-”

You all stopped when you heard laughter coming from the entrance of the storage room. There stood Jaerin and the prince, laughing and smiling together. Prince Seonghwa stared in awe at the two and a smile appeared on his face too.

“I can’t believe it.. Yeosang is genuinely smiling.” He said, “He must’ve taken a liking towards you Miss. Qian.”

You also stared at the two, watching as they looked at all of you. Jaerin gazed towards you and then to Taejun and then to the prince.

“I suppose I do.” Yeosang told him and he held up a book, “Here’s your book hyung.”

He walked up to his brother and handed him the book.

It was a book with a dark blue leather covering. There was a bronze moon with stars of the same color surrounding it. Brown leather covered the spine of the book.

“Thank you, Yeosang.”

Seonghwa started flipping through the pages with a smile on his face before closing it.

“Is there anything else you need, your highness?” Jaerin asked.

He shook his head, “There is nothing else. Thank you for the book.” “Of course.” Seonghwa patted his brother’s shoulder and smiled at all of you, waving with his other hand.

“I suppose it’s our time to go. We’ll meet again soon.” He said.

Yeosang nodded in agreement, “We shall. Good day to you all.” You and Taejun stood next to Jaerin and bowed to the two princes.

“Good day to you both as well, Prince Seonghwa and Prince Yeosang.” You replied.

The two turned to walk out of the library when Seonghwa paused and turned towards you.

“Just Seonghwa is fine, [Y/n].” He then winked and walked out of the library alongside his brother.

You stood there in shock and you were frozen in place as Taejun started screeching.

“THE PRINCE STRAIGHT UP TOLD YOU TO DROP HONORIFICS WOMAN!”

“THIS IS A LIBRARY TAEJUN SHUT UP!” Jaerin shouted at him.

The two quarrelled and still all you could think about was what the eldest prince had just told you.

ATEEZ Royalty AU «Introduction ♕»

Note: This is my first series on tumblr and I’ll be starting another one soon so that I’ll have a v a r i e t y of genres and themes posted. I hope you enjoy uwu :D

King Lee Kiwoo was the ruler of Atheria.

He was known for having great power and being a kind soul.

The king had eight sons, each from a different woman who ruled over one section of the kingdom.

All the sons lived in the same castle in the center of Atheria. The large village surrounded the grand palace and each section of the village was divided into seven sections which all were lead by the boys’ mothers.

Let’s meet the princes shall we?

Prince Park Seonghwa, the eldest son. His attire being a beautiful shade of purple to represent his section. His kindness and talent in singing is known throughout the kingdom and he’s known as one of the perfect sons. Seonghwa loves helping the staff and village folk, he even goes into the village just to help out the people. But when he isn’t out and about, you could find him in the garden looking for good crops or in the kitchen helping the royal chef.

Prince Kim Hongjoong, the second eldest son. A caring boy who helps boosts one’s confidence with many compliments and encouragement. His mother’s sector has a owl and fox habitat behind it and he was able to find a fox to be his pet. A female fox named Yoonri is sometimes at his side when visiting the village or his sector. His attire is a regal gold that anyone could notice anywhere.

Prince Jeong Yunho, one of the moodmakers of all the sons. He always tries to make sure everyone is in a good mood and happy. His mother’s sector is near water so he’s usually seen near the small areas of water around the kingdom. When he’s in the village, he sings for the kids to help them get in a good mood or he plays little games with them. He wears a light blue to represent his mother’s sector.

Prince Kang Yeosang, the quietest prince. The prince wears attire that is red and has beautiful flower designs embroidered into it. He rarely speaks unless he has to and he’s very shy. The village folk all love him, it’s just they sometimes don’t know if he’s still in Atheria or not. Unless he comes out of the palace to visit the village or his mother’s sector. He has a pet bunny named Jinae who is either in his room or roaming her personal garden that he made for her.

Prince Choi San, duality in human form. He could be playful in one moment then serious in the next. His mother’s sector is near the forest so his attire consists of various types of green. He has the same mother as Prince Jongho. The prince is a kind hearted and silly boy who wants to make sure everyone is happy, just like his brother, Prince Yunho.

Prince Song Mingi, imitating but actually really nice. Most people mistake him for a cold hearted prince because of his looks, but really he is a nice boy who just cares for everyone. He’s very responsible and always does his duties as a prince before having fun in the castle or in the village. He wears white to represent his mother’s sector.

Prince Jung Wooyoung, the second moodmaker of the brothers and the second youngest. He spends most of his time in the village as he loves speaking to the villagers and helping them. He loves animals and owns a horse in the royal stables named Ace. He’s always very bright and joyful and he’s always making people smile. The prince wears pastel pink or rose gold attire to represent his mother’s sector.

Prince Choi Jongho, the youngest and strongest brother. He wears black attire to match with his older brother’s attire, as he has the same mother as Prince San. The young prince could be found practicing archery or any other sport in the castle. He visits the village occasionally alone or with his brothers. As said before, he is very strong and usually helps with heavy lifting in the castle or in the village.

The princes all are very close with each other and are always there for each other, perfect siblings you could say.

But the perfect siblings will have to fight for the throne.

King Kiwoo will be stepping down from his throne soon and the first son to find a king or queen to accompany them in ruling will be the next king of Atheria.

Of course, it is a challenge for the princes to find a special someone, but what happens when three of the princes fall for the same person?

Who will be the next heir?

And who will take the heart of the special person?
