As someone one who has also not seen encanto but does know what it’s about…I would say bring the tissues. Almost all of my siblings have watched it now and they’ve all told me it’s rough, but super super good.

I am currently refusing to watch it, I really want to and I will eventually but emotionally I simply cannot at the moment. It’s basically about generational childhood trauma in a Latinx family…and the main character just so happens to look a lot like me 🙃😂 (like I’ve had so many people send me snaps of them watching it and being like look it’s you as a cartoon character).

Also Lin Manuel Miranda did the music, so naturally it’s amazing
