#the king's avatar #when i first discovered tka this is about where I stopped the first time #so I always remembered it being about 150 chapters because no way I read THAT many chapters my first go! xD #the way i remember TKA is split into 4 major parts #Part 1: The Incognito King (up until Chen Guo learns his identity) #Part 2: Guild Happy (the most draggy part for me ^^'') #Part 3: The Challenger's League #Part 4: Season 10 #...at the very least i want to read up to the Xmas event because no version of TKA ever adapts it #It's one of the funniest arcs! and when ye xiu logs back on in the morning, he is met with his dead friend's name

it's everywhere. it's horrifying. he tells su mucheng to get off the internet immediately

(but for one second, he considers--he's already committed identity fraud once. wouldn't it be okay, to do it just once more? mucheng wouldn't contradict him--he is her brother, even if he isn't muqiu. and the thought of muqiu finally getting recognition, of his name being known-)

but he can't keep running away

so he ignores it, and confirms nothing, and when the actual identity reveal comes out muqiu's name dies again

(and he regrets a little. seeing muqiu's name splattered across forums, messages--it was almost like he was alive, like he would walk up any second now to apologize for stirring shit up again)

but muqiu knew when it was time to stop. it was impossible to build anew without levelling the old. ye xiu draws on this, tries to be the person muqiu thought he was, even though he was stupid and human and even his team betrayed him, even though muqiu could've done so much more than he had--

it doesn't matter. he keeps moving forward.

I've only got one episode of The King's Avatar left, which means it's ostensibly time for me to decide what to watch next. I went to my Big Ole List of Things I Want to Watch and was gonna post a poll with Nirvana in Fire and Love Between Fairy and Devil prominently among the options and then I got smacked in the face by The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty and...yeah. I definitely want to finish watching that (I've seen 4 episodes) before I watch something else, so. Guess that's solved, and given how slow I watch things it'll probably be late fall/early winter before I'm ready for something else.

Man, I'd kill for even an hour a day when I could reliably watch one episode of a show, that'd be swell.
