A rant about how the splatoon song "into the light" makes me feel

For ages this song always made me cry/feel emotional and I always wondered why

But then I realised that this sound should make me emotional and here's why:

This song represents the end of agent 8s journey through the deep sea metro and also marks the defeat of tartar. So when this song plays it gives off a sence of freedom and victory

Also this song reminds me of splatoon 2 off the hook live @ hokaigi in 2019, the little dance that Pearl and Marina do when the song enters the slow synthesised keyboard bit is so cute gahhh

This song also marks the beginning of pearlina as outside of the DLC they're nothing but a news and pop duo, but during octo expansion we learn about their past together and what the future holds for them. I think the way Marina hugs Pearl after they both defeated Tartar just sorta tells you all you need to know

Also this song represents the beginning of octolings being welcomed into Inkopolis society, as before they where discriminated against but now they're accepted and embraced.

This song also serves as a good goodbye / ending song for the player, this song is like the game saying congratulations for completing octo expansion as this song plays in the background while the credits roll.

This song also sorta starts the ship between 8 and 3 as they worked together and both sacrificed themselves for each other to escape from the underground and begin the journey "into the light"

3 sacrificed themselves for 8 by breaking through the roof and breaking the blender that had 8 trapped inside. 8 sacrificed their physical health to defeat sanitised agent 3 TWICE

Throughout the story inkopolis is described as a "great home land" by tartar and I assume 8 has never actually been on the surface, so when they get that first glimpse of light shining through the city it's a cinematic, beautiful, and worthwhile ending
