But I learned this morning that one of the apps I was using to accept payments at the show didn’t actually process any of the payments taken on that device. It assumed we were accepting an external payment, didn’t collect credit card numbers, and yet it still sent email receipts to the customers. I have contacted Shopify and they told me there is nothing I can do. It was over half my sales 😔I feel completely devastated, as I put so much time and money and passion into getting my yarn to New York. And this is my livelihood. _ _

I am reaching out to anyone who purchased from my booth that night using a credit or debit card 💳. <<<< You may have received an email receipt whether or not the payment went through >>>>The only way to see if your card was actually charged is to view your credit/debit card transactions for October 20th. I have email addresses from about half the customers, but have no way of contacting the rest. This is my livelihood, and I don’t know what else to do but ask that if you purchased yarn from me to please check your credit card transactions, and get in touch so I can send you an invoice. I will cancel the original order, so you can be rest-assured you will not be charged again (though your credit card numbers weren’t even collected in the first place, so I have no way of charging them).
