So I’ve been knitting in an attempt to decrease my stash scraps. These fish mitts are addictive to make—they’re fun, fast, and simple enough, if you can read a chart and work in the round.
Once I finish the blue fish, I’m planning to do a yellow and brown pair. Pretty much as many pairs as it’ll take while I wait for yarn for the Halibut sweater set I have planned.
Here’s the pattern, for anyone who wants to make their own school of goldfish mittens.

For reasons explained elsewhere, I created a "software" (big quotation mark here) to make grids and color them. I made it for knitting, but I think it could be useful for other things (like crochet, cross stitching, tile work, etc). It is very rudimentary, but it fulfills its purpose (on PCs, on mobiles you can't save what you create).
You can play with it here.
You can see the charts I made while testing it below the cut. It's a long post and very image-heavy. You've been warned.
(Also, if you use any of them, or even the tool , will you tag me and show me?)
The designs I created while testing this thing
Lettering (cuz it's useful)
2. Kitty & Puppy
3. Anatomical hearts
4. hehehehe
5. A modern version of the sweater from the shining
6. the thing that started it all

Finished my Magic of Spring Mitts by Monika Anna. The pattern has easy construction, everything is well explained. A small amount of float catching is needed.
I used Drops Flora in Naturel, Green, Strawberry Pink, and Jeans.

So close to finishing this set of patterns for randomly generated colorwork cowls.
Yes, you get to make your own charts for these, but that means that I need to put a little more work into the pattern files.

I figure there are people who like them and seek them out, like them but don't seek them out, don't like doing them but will seek them out anyway because they want the finished item, don't like them but don't avoid them, don't like them and avoid them, etc. That's before getting into enjoying some techniques and maybe hating others or enjoying it in one craft, like Tunisian crochet, and disliking it in knitting or something.
Anyway, probably more nuances than seemed necessary to put in the poll, so I kept it simple. I just want a rough idea. Curiosity.
So opinions in tags would be welcome, if you feel like sharing.

The husband doesn't ask for any knits. He did ask if, maybe, there was a pattern for this sweater. I was happy to knit something he wanted and likes. This was fun to knit.
