IVE BEEN RAPPING 90% OF MY LIFE! I would write raps in class all the time. When I was a kid my cousins who lived in Alexandria ( Louisiana) and I would have rap competitions. Out of the 7 of us, my oldest cousin and I took turns winning. I’ve always been a writer. I wrote poems everyday in middle school and even wrote a “book” lol. When I lost it.....I started focusing on raps. My first 9 to 5 was at #Fiesta on #JensenDrive . Whenever I would think of a hot line I’d write it on back of one of the paper bags. I would often make the mistake of putting someone’s groceries in the bag I wrote on lol. So...I started remembering what I wrote til I got home. From that practice I became able to go what rappers call #NoPenNoPad . If you’ve ever heard my biggest song ( so far ) #TrinityGardenDrop , THAT verse....and every verse after that was never written down. I went to HCC in later years where I met @zeakyBobby @surreallonline . I studied #AudioEngineering #LegalAspectsOfTheMusicBusiness #TalentManagement #WritingForScreen and even #VocalCoaching . My thought process was since I intended to write for #RnB artist I should be able to translate to them what I needed in their “language”. I’ve had a few jobs in my life. From driving trucks, driving for #Metro ( how I got to swAng a metro bus backwards down Jensen 🤘🏾lol ), working in schools and juvenile probation. Nothing lasted as long or has been more rewarding than the now 17 years self employed as a DJ. I used to “Hussle” in the street. I used part the money to pay for school and DJ equipment. All my 1st clients were D Boyz. That’s why I’m #TheDopemansFavoriteDJ. I am a long way from THAT life now. Since then I’ve introduced/broke some of the best songs and the best artist #ONEHouston has to offer, was the 1st from 🤘🏾 to DJ in Africa, collaborated on 3 documentaries for the honorable @slimthug , fed 11 neighborhoods and 2 cities during #Harvey and released our ( @bdboent ) first full length independent film. I only have something to prove to GOD.....and mySELF! That’s it. If the entire world loves you, but you don’t love yourSELF........ you are in no better position than the person who loathes themselves and is only loved by a few. It starts with you. That’s the crazy part that people with a #LowSelfEsteem #Paradigm have yet to #overstand . When you love you, people love you more. When have self confidence.......people tend to be more confident in you. It’s why I’ve never felt the need to compete with any guy for the attention of the opposite sex. Confidence is better than a #Bently and better than a #mansion in that regard. I know this because I’ve had guys WITH Bentley’s try to compete with me lol. Why I don’t know 🤷🏾‍♂️ wait, I’m lying. I DO know. THEY thought the STUFF would bring them confidence and it DID.......amongst other #narcissist lol. However all it takes is to be in the presence of REAL self assuredness for all THEIR flaws to become magnified in THEIR minds. I MADE A DECISION A FEW WEEKS AGO....... TO TAKE BACK GOD’S RAINBOW 🌈🙏🏾☁️🌥 Somewhere along the line, I allowed the world to tell me it belonged to a certain group of people. In reality it never WAS there’s! It ALWAYS belonged to my creator! When you see it on bumper stickers, or in a post or a button on someone’s shirt, it typically would conjure up thoughts of what that person “must be labeled”. However, that’s not my creators will. So don’t be surprised if you see me....an entire MAN, draped in God’s symbol of his #covenant with US, his greatest creation. I know “grown ups” that haven’t learned these.........................lol! Hell im an alien 👽 so I’ve had issues with reading social cues. I live in my own world so often I’m not paying attention to things that may be important to others.....but not me. Like my girl, will notice another woman being overtly “friendly” when I’ll miss it 🤷🏾‍♂️. It’s usually because A) I don’t think EVERY woman wants me. B) Often ppl flirt with a purpose so I have become numb to manipulation masked as flirting. C) I’m very direct, so I’m in tune with directness. If you throwing something in the air and hoping I catch it..........it’s probably going to hit the ground ftm 🤷🏾‍♂️. I have literally just learned to live in the moment. I am learning the subtle art of reading these cues. While they are flirting for right now sex, I’m standing beside myself .....having a conversation with myself, about the dynamic between men and women lol. Like when I pay a compliment it’s just that......not an invitation. Apparently humans don’t work that way 👾. Apparently humans can’t have platonic relationships with the opposite sex.
