What’s with the fanbase of the 3D era females?

So, recently I've seen a handful of people hoping to get characters back like Ashrah, Sareena, Havik, and Nitara. (I haven't seen them requesting many males except for Havik.) But, if I'm 100% honest with you guys right now, I don't want them back.

Over the years, Mortal Kombat has brought to us some really unforgettable characters. Take the Klassic 7 for example, who could forget them? In fact, at times, you might find yourself humming to the theme song once or twice a day.

They have brought so many iconic characters as well, Kitana, Mileena, Jax, Reptile, and Ermac.

I haven't seen any hate for these characters, except for some Mileena haters I've come across, and maybe a couple of Sonya haters as well.

Anyways, I feel like I really needed to talk about this to stop thinking about myself as a strange person: Am I the only one who doesn't want any 3d era characters back?

I actually haven't asked anyone on social media this yet, thinking I might get hate or something.

But I honestly don't get why people want them back so bad. Weren't some just a different version of a character that got their own moveset?

Even if I'm saying this though, I don't necessarily HATE them all, there were a lot of characters that earned their fanbase, like Fujin, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Tanya, Kenshi, Li Mei, and Blaze. I'm talking about characters like Ashrah, Sareena, and Kira.

Don't get me wrong; I'm a female myself, in case you're thinking I'm saying this because I'm sexist. No; I'm not.

I know, you're probably thinking I'm crazy right now, I'm used to it, anyway, I just wanted to ask WHAT amazing accomplishment they did to even HAVE a fanbase.

Kira was basically a female Kano and an evil Sonya. I liked her design, she was the only redhead female until Skarlet came along. She was the same in every single game, with no update on her design. I found her alt outfit pretty though. Her background was pretty interesting, and I actually thought that it was pretty cool to have a female Black Dragon since there were only males at this point. I don't know when I started hating her, but once I did, I got sick of those who wanted her back. Err... of course, no hate if you DO want her back, I'm fine with it since it IS your own opinion.

Sareena was a female demon (I didn't know demons had genders.) OR, just a demon in a form of a woman, who worked for Quan Chi. Then, strangely, out of nowhere, she got rescued by Bi-Han who got killed, and then SubZero took her in. Her moveset was OK, I didn't enjoy playing as her, especially when she was first playable with Nitara, (I mean, who can compete with NITARA?) after Tournament Edition, she was playable in Armageddon, but, god, there were so much amazing characters there, I hardly tried playing as her. My sister once told me to try her out, and so I did, and, the same reaction. It was FINE. It was a bit slow to me, but probably because I'm used to playing as high tier characters, and she's a low tier. She didn't get a look upgrade so she looked the same she always did. She showed up as a cameo in MK11 as Kabal's wife, which was completely weird to me so I looked back to see if I had missed anything hinted at these two, and I hadn't. It was just a random couple that NTS probably used a spinny wheel for, and got her. I didn't like her with Noob, since people often mistake friendship for love, but I was weirded out by her being with Kabal even more. Turns out, they even have two KIDS, and now, I'm thinking how in the world a demon can get children.

Ashrah was also a female demon (AGAIN with the "female demon" concept. Do demons even HAVE genders?) working for Quan Chi I think, just a regular demon, blah blah, same story, BUT! Instead of being saved by SubZero OR Bi-Han, I forgot how she was good, maybe she just kicked Quan Chi's butt herself, or got saved herself, IDK, she turned good. That is literally all. There are ZERO clues of who she's friends with, who her enemy is, NOBODY knows! I'm actually quite surprised she's still remembered since I thought she was forgotten LOOOOONG ago. Her moveset was.... ??? I think it was similar to Raiden's, I'm not sure. Didn't she throw lightning blasts and holy stuff at her opponent? Her design was fine, but it was pretty low compared to other characters. I really liked her alternate outfit though, it was pretty. She was in the same games as Kira, and zero upgrades on design. Same old, same old.

If you notice, some things these three characters have in common:

1. None of them have any character design upgrades, they have had the same outfit ever since they debuted.

2. They are female versions of a more popular character. Kano, Quan Chi, and Raiden.

3. They- at least two of them, are demons, who turned good.

To be honest, I STILL don't understand why these characters have such a big fanbase, and, I probably never will. I'm pretty sure the comments of this post are going to be like "Why?" or "What's wrong with you?" And, to be honest, I don't know myself.

Also, I DO know that people aren't willing to have Kira back AS much, but I have come across some people who want her back badly.

I've read so many posts about hate to Daegon, Shujinko, and Taven, and I feel that's pretty weird, since Shujinko and Taven have pretty much SAVED the world, I feel some people should give respect to them AND Daegon, I mean, he killed Suchin, and is also trying to kill Kenshi, he's the leader of Red Dragon, if you guys like Kano, why not Daegon?

Anyways, that's all, I just realized this took me 2 hours to write, but it's fine, It's just a question I've been wondering a lot, and desperately wanted an answer for.

Also, another question I wanted to ask; which characters do you guys want to be in Kombat Pack 3? (if there is one.)
