a flavor of krbk that i always love is them just kinda clicking with each other and fitting together in their own special way in the non-romantic moments!! especially with the undertone of "whatever it is krbk has going on, their friends have resigned themselves to the fact that they'll probably never understand it." it's been a sec since i've done a translation but here's a comic that embodies that really, really well - the title is "mountains, krbk, and weeds" !
~IN THE MOUNTAINS!~
kirishima: ohhhh, bakugou!! there's some mountain flowers or something blooming over here! you think they're rare ones?
bakugou: ...ah, those are weeds
k (tiny): oh
k: bakugou, what's this one?
b: hah?? ah, that weed is sort of rare
k: what about these?
b: huh? that's an endangered weed, on the red list
k: ...
b: what
k, internal: what even is a weed...?
b: oi, kirishima
k (spaced out): yea?
b: this is a special weed that only grows around this mountain
k: .... (sfx: KYUN)
k: man, you're kind of a weirdo, aren't you (but my heart got all squeezy over it...)
b: HAH?? the hell do you think you're saying? you wanna go??

i know its not like the disability olympics or whatever but as someone who was unable to function unless I was homeschooled my entire life because one attempted semester of highschool made me genuinely psychotic & unable to function in a group, its interesting how autism as a disorder has just been watered down to this commodified "consumerist" identity where people have deluded themselves into thinking theres something Wrong with them if literally all they do is have passionate interests but oh make sure you dont do anything Actually weird cuz thats "jobless / loser / etc" behavior . that + th whole sweep of th word "neurodivergent" which is a catch-all that means nothing in th grand scheme of things .

im still reeling from gohan outright stating that he doesn't like fighting. everything he's been through since he was 4 years old up to adulthood. and he doesn't like fighting. every exhausting training he's had, every battle he's ever fought, every victory or defeat, every villain he's ever had to face for the sake of the world. and he doesn't like fighting. he's just a kid who wants to make the people he loves proud

the problem for me with both witcher s3 and wot s2—well, okay, one of a few problems, but the one i'm singling out at the moment—is that i've just reached a point with SFF where i've largely used up what little patience i ever possessed for the 'young trainee gets frustrated that they're not progressing faster and gets reckless' trope?
like it's not that it's not a plausible way for someone to behave, it totally is! but. i don't know. i need a, like, decade-long break where i just get stories starring middle-aged people who have, probably painfully, learned some damn patience and slow perseverance…

Maaaay be about to write H.I.V.Efic again in the near future.
Idk I just have a tasty image of teenage Natalya waiting for Nero to get back from a mission she wasn't invited on, learning he came back in the night and didn't IMMEDEATLEY COME AND SEE HER HOW DARE and breaking into his room to go bother him because he doesn't answer when she knocks except when she gets in he's passed out asleep on top of the bed having got as far into undressing as shoes and jacket off, cravat untied, and left sock...missing? And she just has this moment of oooooh adopted* dadboss is in fact human and does things like sleep and hang on is that a BULLET HOLE IN YOUR WAISTCOAT?

in trying to figure out how to process/think about elven aging I did come down on the side of childhood/adolescence being equivalent to humans' in terms of length and development, which means that in perspective elves likely consider physical childhood an almost negligible period of time. (the realization that you are a quarter of a century old is much different when that's a quarter of your lifespan than it is when it's a tenth or less of your lifespan!) however I would love to see someone more mathematically-inclined with a take on aging that works more telescopically (reverse telescopically?), wherein life stages all around are drawn out to scale... ex: an elf child might be chronologically twenty years old but physically and mentally equivalent to, like, a ten-year-old human... idk I just think it could be really interesting to see. human now fifty years old established in their career no longer really peers with the fifty-year-old elf who went to school with them because the elf is still basically a teenager.

part of my healing journey is realizing I’m going to annoy people with my energy and not mean to, and there’s nothing I can really do about it ((:
