yata sneaking out of fushimi's room at 4 A.M. running into mikoto who's sneaking into munakata's

I’m just imaging Yata stuttering and trying to explain why he’s in S4 and then he asks why Mikoto’s here and Mikoto just shrugs like ‘to fuck Munakata’ (“…wait, you mean fuck with, right Mikoto-san?”). Imagine this like Everybody Lives AU and post-ROK, while Yata and Fushimi usually hang out at Yata’s place Yata is absolutely willing and able to sneak into Fushimi’s dorm room too. The door locks and they don’t make a ton of noise so Fushimi doesn’t mind, maybe it’s even a little more exciting for them both when they have to keep it down because they’re doing illicit things in Fushimi’s room. Afterward Yata just opens the window, slides down a tree and sneaks away off the grounds, Fushimi is used to coming and going late at night for missions so he totally knows the easiest ways to get out of vS4 unseen.

One night Yata’s sneaking out, his clothes all disheveled and this big grin on his face as he carefully makes his way towards the gate. Suddenly he realizes someone is there, someone who’s not even trying to hide their presence. Yata gets worried that he’s about to be caught, trying to think up an excuse that doesn’t include his hands down Fushimi’s pants, which is when the person steps into a patch of moonlight and Yata realizes that it’s Mikoto. He’s so surprised that he gives himself away immediately, all ‘Mikoto-san?’. Mikoto looks over at him for a moment and then nods his head in recognition. Yata quickly tries to explain why he’s here, like he’s just, y’know, he needed to get some info and…just trailing off as Mikoto takes a drag on his cigarette like ‘Visiting Fushimi, huh?’. 

Yata laughs sheepishly as he admits that yeah, he was just, um, visiting Fushimi. Late at night. By sneaking into his room. Mikoto is totally chill about that though, waving to Yata as he heads towards S4. Yata starts to leave and then he’s like wait why are you here Mikoto-san. Mikoto considers and then says ‘King stuff,’ before continuing on. Yata thinks that one over and is like well I guess that makes sense but why are they doing King stuff at 4am. He has the brief thought that wait are Mikoto and the Blue King doing the same kind of…stuff he and Saruhiko were doing and immediately rejects it, like there’s no way right, even as behind him Mikoto’s already climbing into Munakata’s bedroom.
