Day 121: As it turns out, I really needed today’s run. I was having my doubts earlier as I’m feeling a little sore. However, after the first few miles everything started to loosen up. Day 110: I’m feeling accomplished after completing the longest bike ride of the season. I survived this grueling training session and I’m still smiling. Day 104: I started my swim today expecting the worst. Typically swimming the day after my long bike ride is challenging. As I took my first few stokes I noticed that feeling of let’s go! Day 133: Today’s brick training session was the second this week and the last of the more intense workouts. The indoor bike was great and my legs felt amazing running off the bike. From this point on, it’s all a matter of training smart with just enough intensity to remind myself of what to expect. Day 132: Am I ready? Have I done enough? Did I do too much? Questions that keep coming to mind as I find myself with extra time during taper. Day 128: Today was a great day for running. The weather was just perfect for an afternoon training session. I had one goal today, completing one mile at the target race pace. Day 122: I’ve always done my bike training based on perceived exertion and heart rate. I haven’t been paying too much attention to the wattage. So far that formula has been working fine. However, today the HR did not match my watts zones on the bike app. According to my HR the session was a recovery ride but the app says that I spent much of my time in the endurance zone. Anyone having this same problem?
