The past year or so's been a wild ride for me in many ways but something particularly special happened to me, and that's gaining extremely talented, warm, and encouraging new friends along the way. I've been on spnblr for over a decade (a feat in itself 🥲), but haven't felt like a true part of the community until recently, and I have my friends to thank for that! Many of whom are very talented, mostly self-taught (!!!!!) editors in their own right!! I've loved editing for as long as I can remember and always jump at the chance to celebrate editing as a craft as much as I can because.... well! I don't think enough people do! The spn amv editor community truly has kept the magic alive, celebrating characters, relationships and the heart of a show that a whole lot of people simply cant help but love through the use of music and video.

writing editing is hard! a lot of people in this community picked up editing for the first time only a year or two ago and that's INSANE to me! editing takes real time, energy and dedication, and instead of making my birthday about me this year, I wanted to celebrate amv editors. so for AUGUST 24 + 25, id like to celebrate you by boosting 2 of your edits: your VERY FIRST amv as well as the edit you're most proud of !! more info + rules under the cut :) i cant wait to celebrate everyone's amvs, and hope u join me!! ⇩⇩⇩

RULES:

WHAT TO SUBMIT: two (2) amvs total: your very first amv uploaded, as well as the one you're most proud of. i want to celebrate how far we've all come!

CONTENT: any film/series/etc. is welcome! - though this event is celebrating spn editors, a lot of us have branched off to create videos celebrating even more of our hyper-fixations (🤪), and i want to see it all!! so feel free to choose your spn amvs and/or anything else!

WHEN ILL BE BOOSTING YOUR CREATIONS: August 24: your first edit. August 25: the edit you're most proud of. pls try to tag me beforehand so i can start to queue everybody on the days leading up to the event! :D
