HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

"Come on Izaya. It'll be fun. A walk in a spooky grave yard?! You love to see what humans are into." Shizuo tried to psych Izaya up.

Izaya rolled his eyes at Shizuo. "You just want the free candy. Where did you even get these hats? They barely fit. Is this a costume? So lazy. You didn't even try. I mean what are we even supposed to be Shizu-chan?"

"Those stage guys with the canes! They're in the movies all the time. Shit...I forgot the canes." Shizuo looked at the candy bags. "Just come on before the good candy is gone."

"Fine, but I'm taking the Boo-tique bag." Izaya grabbed a bag. "And I want all the root beer barrels and black liquorice."

Shizuo picked up his bag. "Ew gross. No one even likes those."

They made their way to the grave walk. Supposedly at the end of the walk you get a ton of candy. Shizuo had found a flyer and he loved free sweets.

"Shizuo, your gripping my arm a lil tight." Izaya turned to look at him. "Are you ok?"

Shizuo swallowed. "Yeah. Just didn't think it was going to be this scary."

Izaya laughed. "Are you actually scared?"

"No." Shizuo snarled. "Shit! What was that?!" He jumped behind Izaya.

"Oh you made me drop my bag." Izaya looked disappointed. "I didn't hear anything. Come on we have to be at the end."

"I'm telling you I heard something." Shizuo spoke into Izaya's shoulder.

"Again, I'm telling you I didn't." Izaya tried to shake away.

A cracking sound came from the tomb stones.

"FUCK IT WE'RE DONE!" Shizuo grabbed Izaya's hand and started running.

"What about the candy?!" Izaya yelled.

"We'll just buy some!" Shizuo yelled back.

Once back home Izaya put an arm around Shizuo. "Shizuo, I've seen you fight a demon army. Why are you so afraid?"

Shizuo was panting. "I can punch...a demon....but....I can't....punch a ghost...."

Izaya burst out laughing then. "You are ridiculous! Come on, I'll buy you a whole trunk of candy."

Shizuo smiled up at him. "Really?"

"Yes, now let's go." Izaya grinned at him. "Before I pull out my Ouija Board."

Shizaya Week 2023

Day 8 Free Day Part 8/8

Home Sweet Home

So I did it. I'm at the end! For this last one I just wanted to show the house in full and show some other things with it. A peek behind this shabby curtain if you will.

I never really show the front of the house. It sits on a dresser in my spare room. It's a PAIN to try and rotate but I managed. When my husband and I moved into our first home THIS home was the hardest thing to move. Oh and don't get me started on the these shingles. EACH AND EVERY ONE were hand stained by soaking in dye and then attached one by one with glue. That was a stressful time. Can you spot my three friends in the windows?

So the side of the house opens for easy access. I didn't wallpaper the inside here due to pure laziness. I hand sanded AND painted the entire house. Building a doll house is a lot of work and took about three months I think. Totally worth it if I could give these boys a bigger home. Anyone that follows me MIGHT remember what their house used to be. It was SO SMALL!

The railings, oh lawd these railings. Each. Single. Little. Piece. Was hand sanded and painted. I don't recall showing the building progress but if anyone is ever interested I have all the photos. Everything from start to finish. It took a week to just do these I swear. They have broken off a few times and I think are currently on with sticky tac, or mounting putty.

Here is our front door. Someday I want to do lighting but that's really pricey so.... not today. The front door opens and closes so that's pretty neat. Don't mind them missing hands. I just take a hand off for the pocket pics.

Speaking of hands. This is how I keep them separate. Pieces have gone missing of course. Izaya's phone and knife are gone so he uses Shizuo's phone. Shizuo only has one cigarette left (THOSE ARE SO TINY). I'm pretty sure I have mixed up their hands at some point but hey, I'm doing my best.

I use sticky tac a lot. Here it is on Shizuo's butt so Izaya's hand can stick and hold him up. I use it to help them hold things in general if their hands don't work. It's also used to keep furniture in place or things on the walls. It looks like a wad of chewed gum. So if you ever see it in the background where I missed it, I swear it's not gum!

This. This masterful pile of nonsense is all the supplies I use. I have tried to organize it but that's not easy. I have containers of food, props, seasonal decor, outdoor stuff and just some random crap I've bought. Don't ask about the grapes...

Here I would like to express my grievances. Shizuo is almost always in his shades because the hair piece WITHOUT them falls off constantly. Sometimes I concentrate so hard it startles me. IZAYA doesn't like to stand and falls over a lot, startling me as well. I jump very easily and when I'm in the zone, loud noises get me. Once I was stacking lil cans and my husband poked his head in to ask me something. Tiny cans scattered, violent words were said and that photo was delayed.

Finally here is the full space. I'm a 32 year old adult that loves her stuffies, anime boys and crafting. I have many hobbies but my Shizaya house is something special. It's something I worked hard to build and something that continues to give me joy. I really hope that I can continue to use it to spread joy to others as well.

I think I said it in the first post but if anyone ever has questions or needs help with a similar hobby I'm always here! Support your hobbies and just have fun with them. Happy Shizaya Week 2023 everyone ;*

Day 8 Free Day Part 7/8

Shizaya: "The last place we have is the yard. Where I play soccer and just have fun. The flea wouldn't want anyone to REALLY know but he loves fall and the leaves. Watching him have fun... I not so secretly love it."

Izaya: "Don't tell people about my love for leaves!"

Izaya: "Nothing is better than my humans but I have to say plants are pretty great. I love to water them. Shizu-chan and I spent a lot of time to plant them all."

Shizuo: "Hey, you remember that time you sprayed me with the hose?"

Izaya: "I refuse to turn around."

Izaya: "You know, I don't think we have ever using this fire pit."

Shizuo: "Naw, looks good though. We spend a lot of time on this yard for looks. I rake, you throw leaves and I rake some more."

Shizuo: "I love coming out here to do some reading."

Izaya: "Are you still reading that childrens book?!"

Shizuo: "You know, as much as the flea annoys me. His knowledge never ceases to amaze."

Izaya: "And that is the little dipper! Hey what are you looking at?"

Shizuo: "Something prettier than the stars."

Izaya: "...."

The grass is made from sticky moss sheets that I stuck to some foam board. The sky and stars are scrapbook paper. The stars are on foam board so I can switch day to night. I don't use night very often though.

One of the leaves in the yard is a real one I found outside. I felt it needed to be here. It's so cute.

Day 8 Free Day Part 3/8

Izaya: "I would like to direct you to our medical supplies. Due to Shizuo constantly fighting we have to have a lot. Plus I have many enemies and I can't stop my parkuor!"

Izaya: "Wait, Celty why are you in my bathtub?"

Celty: "It's the quietest place I can find. WAS, I mean. Also aren't you the one sending gangs after Shizuo and that's why he keeps fighting?"

Izaya: "What do you know?"

Celty: "I know this bathtub was actually a soap holder..."

Izaya: "ANYWAY! These are our tools we use to fix things. We need to do a lot of repairs due to someone's anger issues."

Shizuo: "Shut up!"

Shizuo: "This is where I do my hair and brush my teeth."

Izaya: "You actually TRY to make it look like a rats nest?"

Shizuo: "AND THIS IS WHERE OUR DIRTY LAUNDRY GOES!"

Izaya: "Hey you monster! Get me out of here!"

Celty: "Still better than listening to Shinra."

That bathtub really was part of a soap set I found at a flea market. It's the perfect size for them and just looked great with the room.

I am madly in love with my wall lobster. I love lobsters ;>

That medical supply cart is from Calico Critters. They had a whole set. While most of their stuff is too small for my house, the food items and accessories usually work great.

The tiny tooth brushes melt my heart.

In a "Pickle"

"Errrrrggggg, huff huff, hngggrrrrrr!" Izaya grunted. "Why can't I get this damn lid off!?"

Izaya tried using the counter next. "Damn it. I just want to make spaghetti!"

He then got on the floor. "Why. Won't. It. Open!" He finally gave up.

"The only way...to get this open....is if I had inhuman strength." He panted. Suddenly he sat up with an idea dancing around his head. "THAT'S IT!"

A little later Shizuo was walking down the street at work. He and Tom had split up since they had more clients today than usual. He suddenly came across a suspicious jar in the road.

"What is this?" He narrowed his eyes at it. "Looks like...tomato sauce...." He looked around but the street was empty. "Weird..."

He picked up the jar and opened it to give a look and a sniff. "Yep, definitely tomato sauce."

"YOHOOOOOO! Shizu-chan! Who let you out of your cage?" A voice made Shizuo look up.

"What the fuck are you doing you stupid flea!?" Shizuo shouted up at Izaya, who was sitting on a railing.

"I heard a beast broke out of the Zoo and wanted to see for myself. Seems the rumors are true! Didn't expect it to be so ugly though. Perhaps I should alert animal control?" Izaya taunted.

"WHY YOU!" Shizuo yelled and threw the jar at Izaya.

Izaya jumped up on the railing and to Shizuo's surprise he pulled out a catchers mitt. Izaya caught the jar with ease and grinned madly down at Shizuo. "Thanks beasty!" He called down before running away leaving Shizuo more confused than anything.

Back at home Izaya went to open his jar only to find the lid even tighter than before. "Ugh, how did that monster manage to make it worse?"

BONUS

"You know you could have waited till I came home after work idiot." Shizuo scolded Izaya in the kitchen.

"Yeah but I was hungry!" Izaya spat. "Maybe you shouldn't put the lids on so tight!"

Shizuo rolled his eyes. "Maybe you should learn to ASK me for help instead of being a hateful lil pest."

"Yeah right, it's like you don't even know me." Izaya grumbled, still trying to open the jar.

Day 3 Body Swap

"This is literally the worst! Look at me! I look like I haven't seen the sun a day in my life. My hair is too soft and... is that concealer under my eyes!?" Shizuo shouted in the mirror at his face, Izaya's face. "How the fuck did this happen?!"

"Don't be hateful. You should be thanking your lucky stars that you get to be in my beautiful body. Look at me! I've gone back SEVERAL stages in evolution!" Izaya shouted, in Shizuo's body.

Shizuo, in Izaya's body turned on him. "The fuck you say!?"

"Actually..." Izaya, in Shizuo's body looked at his hands. "This might not be so bad. Think of what I can do with this strength."

"Oh hell no!" Shizuo growled.

"How are you going to stop me? I have the upper hand now." Izaya grinned, in Shizuo's body. "I have your strength. With this, and my connections I'm unstoppable."

Shizuo, in Izaya's body, surged forward. "Oh I'll stop you. I'll choke your fucking neck till you pass out and then I'll figure out how to reverse this." He wrapped his hands around the neck of his own body. It felt very weird.

Izaya only cackled. "So that's what this feels like! It tickles." He then grabbed Shizuo and lifted him up. "Alley oop!" He slammed him backwards in the tub.

"Ahahahaha! I'm unstoppable!" Izaya cried out. "+The world is mine! All of my enemies will shake with fear. I have become a true God! I-"

Izaya was shouting and rambling about his future plans for world domination when a needle peirced his neck.

"W-wah ungh..." Izaya fell to the floor. "Fuck..."

Shizuo looked up in the tub to see Celty. "Celty...?" The room began to spin with darkness around the edges of his vision.

"Sorry, Shinra told me he was trying some kind of body swap on you guys. I came here as fast as I could after he gave me the antidote. Thankfully I only have to hit one of you with it. Sorry for the sore neck." Celty held her phone up.

"Shinra....bastard." Shizuo said before things went black and he woke up in the floor.

Izaya, now back in his own body groaned and crawled from the tub. "What happened?"

Celty showed him a new explanation on her phone.

Shizuo, in his own body again rolled over and looked at her from the floor. "Hey Celty, tell Shinra next time he wants to experiment, I'll experiment with my foot in his ass."

"Agreed." Izaya groaned.

Izaya: "Weeeeeee!"

Shizuo: "I thought you wanted to show off your office."

Izaya: "Of course I do! Wahooooo! Starting with my chair and desk. This is where I do all my work and where the money comes from."

Izaya: " I have this cool sarcophagus with a mummy inside. It was very expensive. Most things in here are, not that I'm bragging."

Izaya: "I have quite the book collection. I also always have a game playing in front of Shizuo. Don't ask how it works. That's just for me to know. Wait where did Shizu-chan go?"

Izaya: "What are you doing?"

Shizuo: "Playing with my train set..."

Izaya: "But I'm showing off my office."

Shizuo: "Yeah but I got bored. I also don't care. You tend to get a bit obnoxious."

Izaya: "I do not. I just want to show off my wealth....and spin."

I don't know if you can see it but there is a children's book on Izaya's shelf back in there. It brings me great joy to think of Shizuo reading it.

The globe there is actually a pencil sharpener! I found it on Amazon. Izaya needs to have a big obnoxious fancy globe right?

It's also nice to know that Izaya's office has a door leading right to their upper balcony. Shizuo often smokes there while Izaya is working.

Shizuo: "Alright! Time for my favorite room, the kitchen. Of course I need to start with my favorite part. The fridge. I keep all my snacks and sweets here."

Izaya: "No one cares about the fridge Shizu-chan. Not when they look at my adorable cat statue. Look at it's boots!"

Shizuo: "You think that until they get a look inside! Milk, icecream, jam, cake and pop."

Izaya: "OK whatever you say. Here, take a look at our pots and pans. We have great dishes too. Oh and the utensils up there were for scrap booking. I think they look better here don't you?"

Shizuo: "I wanted to show the sink but not if you're holding a knife Izaya."

Izaya: "But I'm always holding a knife."

Shizuo: "Tch, naw. I'll go sit down and wait."

Izaya: "You act like me holding a knife is a bad thing. Anyways, if you look at our sponge it's actually made from a big one. Pretty easy right?"

Shizuo: "Shut up and come eat."

Izaya: "Yeah yeah. Let's show off our table and some of our favorite foods!"

Shizuo: "Right, I have a cheese burger and fries, with milk."

Izaya: "Gross. I have sushi and some boba tea. Shizuo what should we show next?"

Shizuo: "I ont know. Bafrume?"

Izaya: "Ugh, don't eat with your mouth fool you babarian."

Facts about these rooms! The kitchen floor is also samples like the living room was. The dinning room is actual flooring for a doll house. I really don't like those floors back there and hope to redo them some time.

Finding tiny dishes is not as easy as I would think. I really want to do a kitchen island to give it more room for things.

Of course the walls are more scrap book paper. I actually REALLY love them!

Day 8 Free Day Part 1/7

Shizuo: "Hey! It's Shizuo and Fleabag here! We've recently heard that someone wanted a tour of our home."

Izaya: "Hey Protozan, don't smoke indoors. Yes, we decided that this week dedicated to us would be perfect time to show it all off."

Izaya: "I would like to start by showcasing my new rug. It's actually a coffee coaster. We purchased it from a local coffee shop and thought it was the PERFECT addition!"

Shizuo: "Right here we have our cat Foofoo. It doesn't do much..."

Izaya: "Stop smoking Shizu-chan! Don't make me come over there."

Izaya: "This is one of my favorite chairs. Believe it or not it's made out of a dish towel and the bottom of a soda bottle! If you look closely, you can see the ripples at the bottom."

Shizuo: "This couch is from a dish towel and sponges! I think there is foam board too. It's the perfect size for us. We'd like to buy a legit one but the sizing isn't ever right and they tend to be pricey."

Izaya: "These books here were bought as a set. Not sure why we have them still. We know Shizu-chan can't read!"

Shizuo: "This might be the perfect time to show my stop sign! Get over here!"

Izaya: "Ope gotta run! Next we'll show you the kitchen."

Shizuo: "Get back here you dick head!"

A note from me!

The flooring here is made up of samples from the home improvement stores. I just got a bunch and cut them into strips. The wallpaper is made of scrap book paper. Everything is stuck on with doublesided tape. It's easy to remove for remodeling if needed.

SUSHI

"Izaya what the fuck is this!?" Shizuo yelled.

Izaya clapped his hands. "It's my Sushi bar!"

"You can't have that here. It clashes with my bar. Celty why are you here?" Shizuo asked the rider.

Celty raised a fist.

"Oh she helped me put it together. Isn't it awesome!" Izaya answered. "She is such a good cook for having no head ya know. I asked her to make me a BUNCH of Sushi and here we are! She even made my favorite fatty tuna!"

"But it's MY bar." Shizuo growled. "I can't believe you went along with this Celty!"

"Yes Shizu-chan it's YOUR bar and who might I asked funded it?" Izaya waved his hands. "Speaking of bar, you're a terrible bartender! I don't even have a drink!"

"Why you-" Shizuo started but Celty held up her palm to show Shizuo some typed words.

"Actually... I wouldn't mind a drink..." Celty typed.

"You don't drink!" Shizuo yelled. Celty looked down dejected. "Ugh fine! What ever!" Shizuo stomped back behind the bar and started pouring. "I'll make the damn drinks."

While Shizuo poured Celty and Izaya began laughing. "See I told you this would be funny. Now I'll pay your usual payment and a bonus if you can get him to eat a spoonful of Wasabi."

"You're terrible!" Celty typed.

"Don't I know it." Izaya giggled.

Celty shook with laughter.

Shizuo saw the irritating love of his life laughing with his best friend and couldn't help but smile. "Fuckers."

Day 4 "Blood"

Shizuo was enjoying a nice evening. He was watching one of his brothers movies and best of all, Izaya had been quiet for the better part of the day.

"Shizuuuuuuu-chaaaaaan!" A peircing voice echoed around the house.

Shizuo grit his teeth. "Bastard. Maybe if I ignore him he'll go away."

"Shizu-chan! Come here! I got in another fight and need the first aid kit!" Izaya called again.

Shizuo rolled his eyes. This happened often and unlike himself, Izaya usually came up with a scrape or two. Nothing severe, always dramatic.

"Fine!" Shizuo yelled. He went to grab the first aid kit and cursed all the way.

When he walked in the kitchen he froze.

"Finally!" Izaya exclaimed. "I have been holding my guts in all this time. Oh no! Some slipped."

Shizuo dropped the supplies.

"Great, now the supplies are everywhere." Izaya sighed dramatically.

Shizuo fell forward, passing out.

Izaya starred at him. "Oh."

Izaya turned around and picked up the tomato sauce on the counter. "Who knew that this was all it took to take down the beast."

"Ah! Fuck!" Shizuo shot up in bed. "I can't do this. I can't do this again." He closed his eyes willing this nightmare to end. "Why is this happening?"

A creaking sound drifted from Izaya's office. He got up and ran to see, praying to whatever God was listening that he wasn't too late, again.

"Izaya!" Shizuo found Izaya on a chair with a noose around his neck "Izaya stop!"

Izaya looked at him with a smile. "Only you can make this stop."

"J-just tell me what to do." Shizuo stammered.

Izaya let out a laugh. "You already know." He then took a step off the chair.

Shizuo raced forward and grabbed him. "No, not this fucking time! I'm not losing you again!" He held Izaya tight. "You're never losing me either."

Suddenly the rope broke and both went to the ground. Shizuo laying on top and still holding on.

"Look, I don't know why this is happening or if this will fix it but I'm never letting you go." Shizuo buried his face into Izaya's chest.

Izaya ran his fingers through Shizuo's hair. "Wake up."

Shizuo shook his head. "No, I don't want to. I don't want to do this again."

"Wake up Shizuo." Izaya spoke louder.

"No!" Shizuo shouted.

"Wake up!" Izaya screamed at him.

Shizuo shot awake again and felt Izaya squirming in his arms. He refused to open his eyes.

"Let go of me before I stab you!" Izaya yelled. "You're crushing me to death!" He pounded on Shizuo's back now.

Shizuo looked then to see he was still truly holding Izaya. "Flea?"

"Who else would it be!?" Izaya grumbled. "Wait, who the fuck are you expecting in bed with you?! I swear I'll kill you if you were dreaming ab-"

Shizuo flipped them over and straddled him. "You're ok." He whispered. He grabbed Izaya's face. "Oh God Izaya." Tears streamed down his face. "You're fucking ok. You're ok."

Izaya starred up at him. "Shizuo? Of course I'm ok. What's wrong with you?"

Shizuo shook his head and pulled Izaya up into his arms. "It doesn't matter. Everything is perfect."

"Ok...." Izaya felt confused. "Do you... wanna talk about it."

Shizuo shook his head again. "The only thing you need to know, is that I'm never letting you out of my life. I love you. I love you so fucking much. I love you so much I would spend my entire lifetime making sure you know it and are safe an-"

"Shut up." Izaya felt his own face heat. "Just stop being so mushy! Can we go to sleep now?"

Shizuo nodded and gave a sniffle. "Only if we can wake up together."

Izaya gave a snort. "Obviously."

After they settled down with Shizuo wrapping himself around him, Izaya took on a soft tone. One he only reserved for Shizuo. "If you want to talk about it, you know I'm right here."

Shizuo pulled him in tighter. "I know. It was just a bad dream. As long as your here in my arms when I wake up, I'll be fine." He kissed the back of Izaya's neck. "I always be fine."

Izaya gave a slight shudder. "Well, I guess getting up early to make breakfast is out of the question."

Shizuo felt a bite of panic. "W-wait."

"Nope. Never again will you get my delicious strawberry pancakes." He sighed dramatically. "It's such a shame, all those strawberries dying for nothing."

Shizuo then pinched Izaya's hip and smiled at Izaya's giggle. "Fucking dick. I love you."
