Officer.

By, every black person to walk this earth.

You said that I had a gun,

that i had pointed and threatened,

you said I have a knife and swang it around to intimidate,

you said that I was dangerous that I was out to get you,

you said i stormed towards you with intent.

Where as I said I was walking to mama's to give her a visit.

I was on the way and I past you on the

street.

I didn't look at you.

I didn't touch you.

I didn't speak to you.

My story is so different to yours that when my mom when she heard it

she didn't know who to believe.

She knew her baby wouldn't hurt anyone,

upset her and get thrown into jail.

But I'm in the sell

with people who were also visiting there mom,

there nans or even going to work.

I'm standing here confused,

why is your story so different to mine. What am I doing wrong.

Why am I different in any way to you.

You wear blue and a shiny gold medal,

yet you have red on your hands.

I just wanted to say hi to my family

but I'm saying goodbye in a hole

with no respect on my tombstone.

I just wanted to feel safe and work hard to help those around me.

I wanted your support when things went wrong

but I was the thing that went wrong,

in your inhuman system.

I can't breath when I hear your sirens,

I can't breathe when you leave your car,

I can't breath when you come towards me, I can't breathe when you look me in the eye,

I can't breath

I can't breath when your hands are on me. Now I've stopped breathing

and you move on to the next.

Go home have a warm cup of tea

and smile with your family.

Where my family are hurting.

My family are broken.

Because their baby.

Their brother.

Their sister.

Their child.

Their sibling.

Their dad.

Their mom.

Their parent.

Is dead because you served injustice.

I'm sorry mr officer if my skin did you wrong.

If my melanin hurt you in anyway.

If my curls ruined your name.

That some how me being who I am attacked you physically.

But I thought my skin couldn't speak.

I thought my hair couldn't hold a weapon.

I thought my heritage,

my family name

and my identity couldn't throw a punch

and strike you.

Because what ever you see through your eyes

isn't what I see through that guns barral. And I'm sick and tired of attending funerals that you plan officer.

Though my skin is black I don't want to be wearing black by a grave that says "random black guys name"

"died from the hands of those who are meant to protect me".

I just want to live like you,

move on in life

and breath fresh air.

But I can't breath.

"I CAN'T BREATH."

why can't you hear me say,

"I CAN'T BREATH."

I want to breath,

I want to breath

and shouldn't have to beg to breath.

I shouldn't have to ask for your permission officer.

So why am I asking for your signal to function in society?

Why are we still being pulled around

and treated like zoo animals in you eyes?

Why?

Just why?

I'm young,

barely even started a life that can even come close to an adults

and I'm stuck in the back of you car

being slandered

and I'm scared to leave and walk the streets

and see friends because of you officer. scared that what you see is not a child

or an adult

but a monster

that has drugs in ther veins

and speaks in tongues.

Me,

a child,

shouldn't be scared of the person that will help.

I'm told that if I'm in danger I should find you officer

but when I do I'm in more danger.

So much danger.

To much danger.

And I'm always in danger when you are here.

Officer.

Please stop this hate.

Please help me,

Us,

like you help everyone else,

As our black lives matter too,
