The sun and moon-Vladimir Makarov
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Based on a request:
Okay, but I was on TikTok and you’re the only blog I know who really likes Makarov besides me and 🙈😭😫🥰🙈 if you know the audio, that goes like 🎶 me and the devil… walking side by side 🎵 it made me think of him and reader and just, like… idk. Becoming his queen and I just love the idea of him seeing all this (whether he saw it from the beginning or noticed it after a while/before anyone else) potential in you that no one else seemed to, and fosters that in you, making you two a power couple in your little dynasty. He may do the dirty work and have blood on his hands, but you’re just trying to do good and make the world a better place again, even if it’s by any means necessary. Idk. Maybe it’s also bc I also just love hades & persephone sm too and it also gives me the grumpy & sunshine trope as well in a way too but I thought I’d share bc I’ve been loving this thought so much 🥰😭🥰🙈 ---- F!reader, romance/fluff, established!relationship ----
A/N: making this honestly lets me be a little more creative so thank you! I just couldn't stop writing and I think this will be the best I've ever done
Russia is a place known to be cold, and really, for him this is what life is like. For you, on a different side of the world, it's more calm and beautiful.
In the world of cruelty, there exists a power couple like no other. Vladimir Makarov, feared and revered, walks the path of darkness, his hands stained with the blood of many. Yet, beside him stands y/n, his love, the queen of his heart and his guiding light. Together, they forge a new destiny, a dynasty built on strength.
He is a titan among men, commands armies with a flick of his wrist and leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. To stand in front of him, it so is in the presence of death itself yet, there is one who walks beside him, a figure shrouded in mystery and clocked in the endgame of your own making.
Y/n, they call you, a name whispered in hushed tones by those who have glimpsed her fleeting presence. To some, you're a beacon of hope, a flicker of light in the darkness, your mere presence enough to quell the storm raging within Makarov's soul. But who are you, his angel, who holds the heart of the most feared man in the world? Some say you're his queen, his equal in every way, gaze as steely as his own, resolve unshakable in the face of adversity. Others whisper of a love born from the depths of despair, forged in the fires of war, a bond that transcends time and space.
As the world trembles beneath the weight of their combined might, one thing remains certain: where there is Vladimir Makarov, there too shall be y/n, walking side by side, their destinies entwined in a dance of darkness and light, love and war.
Amid chaos and carnage that define their existence, Makarov sits by a window, looking out to the gardens. In the hazy corridors of his mind, he recalls the first time he laid eyes on you, a glimpse of beauty amidst the ugliness of war. "What's her name?" He asks one of his men. You stood before him, gaze unwavering, spirit unbroken. "Y/n, daughter of-" "go away," he says sternly and walks up to you. "As beautiful as day, Y/N," he takes your hand and kisses it. "Who are you?" Oh, that soft voice of yours that melts his cold heart. "Vladimir but you can call me Vovo," his accent rich and smooth.
There is something about you that sets you apart from the rest, that ignited a spark of curiosity within him.
"Makarov, war is on," a man walked into the room. "If you must excuse me dear, I have some…stuff to do," he walks out of the room as if it's just another typical day for him.
Days passed, and you were told to stay indoors since you didn't seem capable of winning a war, much less fighting one. And with one knock on the door, he walks inside, interrupting your train of thought. "C'mon, I'm not letting your beauty rot in this room," he says, extending his hand and you take it without doubt. "Where are we to go?" you ask.
"To battle my dear, but you'll stick beside me," he mentions, guiding you through the dark corridors.
And as he is called back to attention, the beautiful memory fades. As it fades and the present comes crashing back, Makarov is left with a sense of longing, a yearning for a time when the world was simpler, when he and you were just two souls bound together by fate. And though the scars of war may never heal, he takes solace in the knowledge that no matter what the future may hold, he will always have you by his side.
As the years go by, you two navigate the treacherous landscape of warfare. Where his iron fist strikes, you are the steady hand that holds the light for him to come back home.
You've learned a lot from him, from fighting to learning that not all his wrongs are from pure hate and cruelty.
It's a waltz, a dangerous, blood-driven waltz.
In the middle of all the turmoil in their line of work, there are moments of intimacy between you two, moments when they cast aside the weight of their burdens and simply exist in each other's presence. In those fleeting moments, they are not leaders of armies or the rulers of wars but two souls bound together by an unbreakable bond of love and devotion.
And though the world trembles at the sound of your names, Makarov and Y/N stand unwavering, their hearts intertwined in a dance of passion and desire. For in each other, they have found solace in a world consumed by chaos, a beacon of light in the darkness that surrounds them.
"Vovo?" you say comfortably in his arms. "Любимая?" (darling) "Will there be a day where this will end?" "Yes, but until then, I'll just keep holding you close," his warm lips meet your forehead.
They've said before that Makarov reigns as a formidable figure, feared and respected by all who cross his path. His domain is a world of shadows and chaos, where darkness reigns supreme and few dare to tread. You, you're a vision of beauty and grace that was consumed by war.
As yet another storm is to come, you and him stand together. "Don't ever leave me, okay?" he pleas. "Like I ever was," you smile.
In the shadows, he lurks and in the sun, you dance. No evil, no war and no man can separate you from the other.
It's beautiful, how you can be so opposite. Vladimir was midnight and you were sunshine. He preferred a dark room and a sunroom. Dark clothes covered him and you with warm and beautiful colours. It's a peculiar kind of love and it's warm. Loving the devil, loving an angel. The same story is told just like Hades and Persephone.

👀 is there a song out there (whether by you or someone else) that makes you wonder how it came into being?
"Woolworm by Indian Summer. That song changed my fucking life the first time I heard it. I've always loved music, it was always a place I could go to get away from something. Myself, my mom and dad's ups and downs, escapism. But the first time I heard that song I realised that music could lead you somewhere. It can make you understand yourself in a way you might never have if you hadn't heard that exact song at that exact time when you needed to hear it."
'All wounds effortlessly as the burden of his sunken child is lifted but effortlessly again carried faintly to the stone heart of an angry son. An angry son who has done his swallowing, his memories are bitten pills, so many bitten pills that he has collected.'
"There's so many meanings to that, what it means to you might not be what it means to me and that's why it's so good. It's not any one thing and it's not the same to every person. And I've wanted that ever since. That thing I experienced. Where a song I listened to as a teenager in my cousin's garage became something that I carried with me through the rest of my life. 'I am the angry son, I am the angry son, this is the moment, I am the angry son.' Felt that at fifteen. Still feel that thirty-three. Hope I won't still feel it forty, but who knows."

"I don't want to be a moment to the fans of my band, I don't want to be a clipped TikTok audio that goes viral for six days until the next one comes along. I want to earn a spot on the soundtrack to their lives."
Send my muse “👀 + a question” and they’ll have to answer with 100% honesty.

i've been working on this for a while, just because i heard a tiktok audio, had an idea, and then had to draw it... it's been a pain to get done, but it's finally finished! it was inspired by the tiktok audio that goes: “i hate summer, i hate her crooked teeth, i hate her 1960s haircut, i hate her knobby knees, i hate her.” i love the ship zanerance (zane x laurance), and thought that this was a perfect excuse to draw something related to them! anyway, please enjoy this little mini-comic thing! <3

S1E2-"The Cat's in the Bag"
That's right two in one day I'm in a hormones induced fugue. If i focus might knock out a third tonight. This one shorter
TW: Violence, racism, gore description
also note: I use Native American and Indigenous as the general term because they're what I've been led to believe is acceptable but let me know if there's something else I could be using/some grammar hink going on here.
Tumblr media
Indigenous people in Breaking Bad are a background element I'm hoping to also make clearer to myself in this watchthrough, especially since it's a throughline that gets picked up again with Better Call Saul and the Kettlemans. There are no major Native American characters in the series, and yet they keep popping up in a way that reads as both prop-like and intended as thematic. This episode in particular opens with a Native American man towing Walt and Jesse's RV out of the ditch, and ends with two Indigenous children playing in the wreckage left behind by their cook. The ABQ area is home to a couple of different tribes. The only reservation that I believe is named in the show is To’Hajiilee, which is occupied by the Cañoncito Band of Navajos. Until provided with other information I'll assume that's the nation to which these unnamed characters belong. Again, I do want to drill in on how badly these characters are props. None of them even have speaking lines. Additionally, its part of the running theme where most brown characters are positioned in opposition to law enforcement. The man who tows them out accepts their bribe to keep silent about anything he's seen. However, given the work the previous episode has done to establish law enforcement as a. deeply racist and b. wildly destructive. There's an argument to be made that this is one of the most human things these characters could do. Rather than concern themselves with something that's not their problem to begin with, they instead keep their mouths shut and profit where they can. I don't want to go too far down this as a overarching read, both because it risks extending the show too much credit and because I think there's a tendency to sanitize the legacy of colonialism into just. White people being corny and Indigenous people giving knowing eyerolls, rather than a system of routine violence. But still, given that this is an analysis focused on race and law enforcement, its worthwhile to me to bring up instances where this is even glanced on.
There's an entitlement to Jesse's space which Walt perpetually demonstrates that really starts to rear its head here. Jesse's just going to have to be ok with Walt storing two dead bodies and a wrecked meth lab in his driveway, because after all, he can't very well bring it back to his nice normal house with his nice normal family can he? Jesse is also expected to take responsibility for whatever happens to the bodies, despite them both being Walt's kills This is played for a joke (resulting in at least one Tiktok audio) but it does have lasting impact on Jesse as he navigates dealing with Emilio's body and Domingo as a hostage. It makes him so uncomfortable that he feels the need to get high just to stay in his own house. All of this is something that either doesn't occur to Walt, or that he just doesn't care about. This is an entitlement that's reflected in Skyler later when she goes to confront Jesse. She barges in his front gate before yelling at him about having the audacity to touch her. The Whites don't understand themselves as criminals. Again, they're nice normal people, not like this "druggie burnout". He isn't protected by things like legality and decency, and anything they say or do to him should be considered reasonable frustration or concern. This culminates in Skyler's line "not that it's any of my business, but you might want to consider a new line of work". This line isn't just ironic, but deeply telling about how the American middle class views drug dealing. A choice, and perhaps even a waste of talent that needs to be scolded back into the fold, or locked away where decent people don't have to see it.
In general Walt's not great at predicting human behavior. He's admittedly having to learn as he goes, but it doesn't even occur to him that his wife might check the call history. Or that she might even notice when he's scream whispering at the phone in the middle of their living room.
This is drilled down on further in the "chiral" scene. Two chemical compounds, seemingly identical, that yet behave very differently. This I believe is meant to be understood as Walt attempting to pitch his joint identity as both druglord and loving father. Can't I be both? And yet the bleedthrough is evident. "Is this going to be on the murder/midterm?" This is also a duality Walt struggles to grant anyone else. After blustering a bit about drug dealers having any kind of administrative structure he asks Jesse if Domingo's "capable" of listening to reason. As a distributor, a "business man", "he should be capable of mutual self-interest". There's a lot you can say here about how white suburbia conceptualizes capitalism, how it should be a system that prevents rash acts of temper, because after all, doesn't trade serve everyone better? Suffice to say this is going to come up again when Domingo talks about majoring in business, and yet again with Tuco.
Final note on the classroom scene, Walt blurting out knowledge is power is a funny little whimper to tack onto his floundering, but its also emblematic of how he attempts to hold onto control of his reality. I think its notable Walt's dialogue becomes more jargon heavy when he's stressed, not less.
No natural transition in or out of this so I'm just going to reproduce this line from Jesse's website in its entirety. "Ethnicity: I'm totally cool with ethnics-Black, Mexican, whatever...as long as you're SMOKIN' HOT, YO!" 0_0. I guess. earmark race as a commodity and move on.
Despite the inherent goofiness of the scene where Walt recaptures Domingo I think its important to remember what a horror show this is from Domingo's perspective. Nearly died in a chemical attack, woke up next to the body of his cousin, dragged himself out, only to be recaptured and locked in a basement for days, barely able to breath the whole time. On some level Walt seems cognizant of that, and it only becomes more apparent the longer he spends with him. Domingo may be a drug dealer who will bring down vengeance on them if he gets away...but he also likes the crusts off his sandwich and asks after his cousin. Again, Walt can't cope with the duality. It doesn't match his image of what a criminal should be.
Enough so that he does exactly what he told Jesse not to do last episode and smokes up. Granted, he uses weed, not meth, but to a post war on drugs America this was pretty similar severity. Walt wastes a good chunk of Jesse's weed attempting to roll the WORST joint I've seen in my life, flaunts his partaking in Skyler's face as a sign of his independence, and then sneers and scowls at Jesse for indulging to cope with melting a childhood friend into meaty chunks. After all, Walt's not a junkie. Walt can be trusted to keep his head even if he loosens up from time to time. Jesse, on the other hand, has an unmanly dependence, and needs to grow up. After all, this kind of thing should be routine for him, right. He's a Criminal.
Walt has a habit of setting Jesse up to fail and then scolding him for it. When Jesse's uncertain if plastic can stand up to acid, Walt refuses to explain. Just barks at him later for not following instructions unthinkingly. When Walt expresses doubt, Jesse attempts empathy, attempts to come up with a paradigm where Walt can make himself ok witih it. I struggle to call it a MORAL impulse but its definitely a kind one.
Skyler asks Walt about Jesse at the doctor's office, a place he where he can't leave and also can't sex her quiet. She's learning to anticipate his resistance to openness. She also frames the information as transactional, "don't you think you OWE me this", in a way I can't help but see in connection to the baby. I'm your homemaker ergo you owe me honesty. Walt responds with a veiled threat. "I love you, and that won't change, so back off". To his mind the only thing his family should concern themselves with is his emotional state. Anything beyond that is outside their purview.
Nice wet meat effect.

Daisy Jones & the Six: A Novel + ★★★★★
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Book Blurb by Random House Publishing: Everyone knows Daisy Jones & The Six, but nobody knows the reason behind their split at the absolute height of their popularity . . . until now.
Daisy is a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s twenty, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things.
Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. On the eve of their first tour, his girlfriend Camila finds out she’s pregnant, and with the pressure of impending fatherhood and fame, Billy goes a little wild on the road.
Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. What happens next will become the stuff of legend.
Tumblr media
Rating: ★★★★★ Descriptors: Magnetic, raw, lively. Recommended by: TikTok, as usual. Recommended for: Those who chase - chase a drink, chase a lover, chase a dream. Literally everyone - read this book.
I was not entirely sure I was going to finish this one - but, man, am I glad I did.
It took me longer than I had hoped to complete it. For an ebook that is approximately 400 pages, I would usually knock that out in a few hours, maybe a day or two at most. No, this took me a week and a half to finish, and the ending was well worth it.
The writing style here is unique. Now, I know Reid is a popular author on TikTok, but this was my first time reading a book of hers. I'll be honest, I think the writing style is what truly threw me off and made it difficult for me to finish. The author writes as if it is an interview instead of a novel, with the occasional "author's note" from the journalist writing the story. It read almost like a screenplay to a documentary. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a good documentary. However, the transition to written word here did not strike me as it might have in, say, an audio book. As a matter of fact, I'm almost certain I would love the audio book. If this is how Reid writes all of her pieces, they may also take a bit of time for me to get through.
Now, onto the good part - Spoilers may be ahead!
I loved each of the characters individually. I think they were all portrayed so well and so differently from one another, they all simply clicked together perfectly. However, I will say Daisy and Billy equally frustrated me throughout. I had an inkling of where the story was going once the two, I'd say, protagonists finally met up with one another. The chemistry was palpable, and the same goes for Karen and Graham, who I was rooting for the entire time to no avail.
I was also wildly attached to Camila, and I hated every instance where Billy messed up. That said, I oddly understood her dynamic and relationship with Billy to a heartbreaking degree. I did not hate their relationship by any means. It was real. It was raw, and I loved every minute of it, even the hard parts.
I come from a musical family, and my father always chose his career over his family. I saw a lot of my father in Billy's demeanor, although from a different perspective. My dad never struggled with drug or alcohol abuse, but he was unfaithful to my mother and several other women in his life. But, as Camila seemed to grasp, I knew there was nothing my father could do or could have done to stop my mother from loving him, even when she hated him. Even when she hated his choices and his treatment of his children, my mother still had love for my dad. My parents ultimately separated, and I still think it was for the best. But reading Camila and Billy's story really set me back into the mindset I'm sure my mother understood.
As for Daisy, I hated her addiction and her seeming lack of self-awareness. I've been fortunate not to fall victim to an addiction like drugs and alcohol, so I have a hard time understanding why people can't say "no." Daisy started out as a selfish main character, but her growth throughout the series really warmed me. Once she started comprehending her feelings for Billy were more than just their shared love and passion for music, I enjoyed her opening up more.
I liked her friendship with Simone, and I will say - Daisy kept it more real than anyone else in that book. She never shied from what she was doing or saying, and there is something admirable in a woman who stands her ground. I also enjoyed her talking about her sobriety, and I especially loved the final confrontation ( if you want to call it that ) between her and Camila. It was the most authentic, heart-wrenching thing, and it set my heart on fire.
The story was, as I've said many times here, real. It was genuine, it was authentic, it was true. Not every love story has a happy ending. Some have bumps in the road all throughout. Some make you question whose side you're really on, and some you cannot help but love yourself. The odd writing style aside, this was an excellent book and worthy of every star here. I have highlighted and annotated so much of this book, I have no choice but to rate it as highly as I can and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
I loved this book.

I just need to vent a little and you have seemed to read the very very few anons i have sent you in the past. The shit show of the Heard vs Depp case is frustrating to me. It has shown that for the public eye there needs to be, is required to have the most perfect female victim and if she isn't the public's idea of the perfect victim then she "a lying whore". But that's most certainly not the case for Depp. He can act and do fuck all he wants. His behavior is not and will never be.. part 1
scrutinized to the degree Heard's has. She wipes her nose and suddenly she's a bitch doing cocaine in court. He's laughing and smiling (not the typical victim behavior) and no one bats an eye or some will turn around and say he deserves to laugh and smile. They'd have crucified her way more if she had acted anything near like him. No one cares that 9 years ago was the text he made about killing her and raping her. That she spoke about being raped. That he confessed in a text to being the one to cut his own finger in that same situation. He confessed in a text to severing his own finger and no one cares. But she can't remember the specific brand of alcohol of bottle she accused him of using to rape her and it "must be a lie". That ex gf that claims otherwise? Wasn't she the one to have broken up with him out of fear of being abused by him because she saw his violent tendencies! It doesn't matter if she wins, the damage is done and now a rape victim will be sued
They ignore any evidence which goes against him, call Amber a liar, and scrutinise everything about her. I've seem so few people even acknowledge the texts he’s sent and other evidence that we have proof of. How can you ignore texts saying that he wanted to rape and kill her? How are you so blind to not even consider that that’s an awful thing to say? Even if you were to take the side of him being a victim here, you don't just casually text your friends saying you want to rape your abuser?
And then everything Heard said has been mocked. The shit in the bed? Made into a meme. Dog stepped on a bee? Meme. Her describing how Depp raped her? Trending sound on TikTok with people saying they would have enjoyed it. Using a make up palette as an example? Apparently you meant that exact one so the make up company had to tweet that it wasn't even out during their relationship and now she's a liar... Even though no one ever claimed that she used that exact one, people just love to read it that way. Everything she’s said is mocked and she is called a liar constantly. I heard someone explain why they support Depp and it was basically one audio recording of Heard screaming abuse at him. That's what it took. One fucking recording. But all the recordings and texts and other evidence we have for Depp being the abuser in the relationship? Nah, just ignore all of that shit.
She smiled in court once and people called her a psychopath and talked about how that one smile is proof of her being an abuser. She cried and it's crocodile tears. She jumped back from Depp out of fear and she’s acting. And now she acts blankly and almost without emotions and she’s a psychopath. People used every expression she showed to call her an abuser because they are so biased towards Depp that they couldn't see any other point of view. Meanwhile, his smiling and laughing and doodling during a fucking court hearing is him ‘dealing with trauma’ and ‘letting out his inner child’. I am not saying that all victims act the same way but are you fucking kidding me? What victim, while being forced through a public trial by their abuser as well as being forced in the same room as them for six weeks, is laughing and smiling and messing about during the trial? Actually, what type of person goes to court just to fuck about? That's so unbelievably unprofessional and childish.
Everyone has already decided who the victim and who the abuser is. Actually, everyone decided long before this case, which effectively serves to prove what actually happened, who the victim and abuser are which is so much worse. And so everything else about it is just confirmation bias: Heard’s actions prove that she’s an abuser; Depp’s prove that he’s a victim. And anything which suggests the opposite is a lie or just ignored. I've already seen people begin to explain why Heard might win this case even though Depp is the ‘real victim’ (basically that Heard just has to prove that Depp did abuse her on at least one occasion which is a massive oversimplification of a six week trial) because they just can't conceive of the idea that the reason Depp has lost every single case relating to their relationship is because he’s actually an abuser.

the bit that gets me really frustrated about the "its hot on the bottom" tiktok audio that shows a type of thinking is the lack of anything past that? literally just add "grab it on the sides" or "go grab oven mitts/a tea towel" if the kid seems a lil confused or like instinctively goes to grab the bottom coz the adult is holding the sides? or prompting "its hot on the bottom so what should we do?" to slow things down and let the kid work through it. if yelling the same phrase at the kid doesnt work, maybe thats not on the kid, maybe thats on the adult for not offering anything else up? not to mention in a lot of the vids i've seen the adults are holding the pot at the top on the sides and the kid clearly goes to grab the pot on the sides under their adult's hands? like i know a lot of the vids are staged or whatever but even in the staged vids the kid often is still doing the right thing and their adult hasnt even paid attention for the making the video. its so frustrating so many people very clearly dont see kids as intelligent little humans still trying to figure things out thats usually just need a little bit of help, grace, and extra time for their literally still developing brains to work things
no exactly like if i was talking to like my boss or something and they told me something and i didn’t understand and they just screamed at me the same thing they said before i would be like okay why don’t you take a moment and try that again bcus wtf. obviously not trying to crit latto in the original video she’s clearly w her friends having fun and it’s not that deep my point is that in the context of parenting if you go into every interaction w a child like they’re a burden they don’t listen it’s not worth trying to communicate bcus they just won’t get it they absolutely feel that and understand that that’s what you think even if you never verbalize it even if you are constantly affirming them the opposite your attitude WILL be evident and nothing will get done bcus you’ll both be sitting there stressed and resentful. and thats the funny thing to me like the strategies you proposed are really good but you literally don’t even need to have those ready and think abt them beforehand or even need to use those necessarily to avoid the problem it just literally takes not treating the kid like they’re the problem bcus you’re right like in the staged scenario these people are presenting the parent is actually the problem half the time so you don’t even need like gentle parenting strategies or whatever point these people are trying to make it literally just takes a little bit of self awareness and not entering the situation w hostility

DAY 16
I think an update is due. And I might briefly explain why I haven't updated in days.
I've been going through the worst, deepest depressive episode of my whole life. Some real hardcore stuff. It got so bad I shaved my entire head and just gave away €4,000 to people I absolutely despise so they would hopefully leave me alone, all of this out of pure despair. I even cried in front of my therapist. And said people I absolutely despise, which made them pity me even more, which was the most humiliating thing ever.
I read someone said "be someone 7 year-old you would love and 16 year-old you would hate" and I realized I am the exact opposite. 16 year old me would be so proud and happy that I finally did what she wishes she could have done, and 7 year old me would be absolutely horrified and would not recognize me at all. Honestly, 13 or 14 year old me, even 15 year old me would be horrified.
I know who I was and I know who I am now and they're two completely different people and I don't know who is the real me. Where she is.
I'm still trying my best to pull through. I went out for dinner with a friend last evening, and so will I next evening. I'll also go to the gym with a friend.
The point of shaving my head was for people to understand I was having a breakdown. Instead, most think I'm so "cool" and that I did it for the "aesthetic" and people keep asking me if I will like, dye and bleach it. I know people don't have bad intentions and that they simply don't understand.
My flat is a mess. It's disgusting. But I can't bring myself to clean it up just yet.
Today was honestly hell, and yesterday too. I'd rather not talk about it in too much detail and hopefully, soon enough, I'll have forgotten even just a little bit about it.
I truly have a love-hate relationship with my buzzcut. I feel like it's just one more step to ruining my own life and I feel like this TikTok audio that goes "No, don't do this to me" and "I know I'm sorry" from Euphoria (apparently it's from that series, never watched Euphoria lol).
Bye for now. I hope things get a bit brighter. xx
"I'd like to tell you that my sky's not blue
It's violent rain" -clementine by Halsey (I may or may not have shaved my head to this song)

Undeniably TikTok make the internet worse. That isn't a cute insult it's genuinely been almost as bad as Facebook was, but for video creation.
If it weren't solely for the fact that it enabled people to create their own works in a streamlined and easy fashion, and allowed a wealth of videos and music variety YT wasn't offering, and after Vine died, that all made it easier to accept the new formatting of internet culture, very dictated by a chinese spy app.
Like stick with me, yeah Murica does the same, but you're ignorant to compare the two. Outside of politics, and the idea of our enemies getting data on nearly all our youth directly in such a fantastic pipeline that the US is jealous, is how companies control the internet far harder via this platform than any other platform yet.
The hardline fact is this: The ability to add liscense music led to the internet having less variety and actual worthwhile content. Old ans new Gifs with or without sound are now obscured with some corporate as fuck music. We have a dedicated voice for short videos now, that stupid fucking vapid AI woman voice.
This shit is BAD. Imagine taking YT, but they allowed you to EASILY, not PAINFULLY, add music they liscensed to their website. The utter horror of every fucking video for the next decade to have an equivalent to the "Oh no" song genuinely makes me consider leaving the internet. And while that's joked or said lightly, genuinely I've been chronically online since I was 9, healthily unlike the blog's rapid fire anger shit text posts would have you believe, but if my autistic ass has to listen to the same 3 songs and 2 voices I genuinely will be done.
The main issue isn't repetitiveness though, it's forcing an identity, a corporate stamp, onto your work.
All these TikTokers are setting their future works up for utter failure. Once the platform goes down, their content will be permanently outdated.
First off, you have the forced tiktok logo, then the logo at the end. But what'll really kill your video, is an old, shitty, overly played, radio quality soundtrack from a long defunct company.
Youtube you just make your shit with whatever you got. You can use their audio library, but nobody does. Because it's shit. Un-memeable, generic, and stands out worse than a clown remixing through fire and flames live at your local circus.
Tiktok sucks. Vine had it's problems but it TRULY enabled everyone to be a creator. The problem was, once again, it outdated itself once it died. And TikTok is a WORSE version of that.

I’ve been following you since The 100 days and somehow never realized you answer life asks too. I’m sorry for dumping this on you but I saw anon’s ask about falling back in love with life and realized I’m kind of in the same boat. I’m 26 and completely disappointed and I feel like I’m too young to be stressing this much about life when I should be enjoying it. I’m not sure why but lately the idea that I could be an actress popped up in my mind (don’t laugh people!). Since small I have imagined myself giving interviews and walking the red carpet without an exact reason for it but acting always seemed the one that fit the most. I never did anything related to theater but where I grew up it wasn’t even encouraged. Actually I’m not sure we even have a local theater. I had a friend or two who went to acting schools and do a few productions now. If I kind of feel I’m wasting my life away NOW I’d probably feel it even more if I let go of everything and went to acting school without having ever done anything close to it. I don’t live in a country where acting is big. Of course we have our local productions (and now Chris Evans is dating a Portuguese actress!) and I’m scared I would probably just end up disappointing myself even more. I mean, it’s just a whim, I’ve never done anything related so how do I even know I’m good? People around me have no idea either. Should I try and do something about this whim?
YES!
Go for it!
Listen. No one is going to blame you for being stressed out about life. EVERYONE is stressed out about life. It is singularly the most tumultuous time, possibly, in recent history. You can make an argument for it. With all the upheaval. Personal, political, global, environmental. Please don't think you're too young to stress. That is no longer a thing, if it was ever a thing.
If you want to try acting. ABSOLUTELY do it.
I'm not an actor, so not an expert on this, although I have known a LOT of actors in my life. My sister's a hair stylist now but for years she was focused an acting.
We lived in NYC which gave her the opportunity to take acting classes and audition and do showcases and off off off (off) broadway. But even smaller places can have acting classes or community theaters. Start examining what kind of options there are for you to learn and practice with other people.
I'm sure that you get to watch a lot of great acting performances, what with our current access to videos and films. Try choosing your next watch based on the actors. Pick some great actors and study what they are doing, how they draw out emotions. Watch different productions of the same content and see the way the actors play the same role differently. Plays are good for this because it's less about the production.
Also read about acting. There are books that I know are important in the field although I am not sure which ones. You'd probably want to google that one, unless some of my followers have suggestions. Even though acting is something that needs to be done, PERFORMED, there's still a lot of thought that goes into the performance and if you learn how other actors think about their performance it might help you.
What else? Oh. You know this might feel silly or pointless, but a platform like tiktok or instagram or youtube might help you with this. I've seen little acting challenges on instagram reels where a person will take on a little snippet of a scene, reading off of someone else or off of an audio. It's not silly. It's not pointless. It's learning. It's practicing.
Anyway, it's quite possible that YOU know more about acting than I do, because it's something you have thought about while I'm like. Acting? Nah. I mean I was in one play in college and dabbled in playwriting, but it's not for me. I'd rather be behind the scenes. But ABSOLUTELY YES PLEASE GO EXPLORE BEING AN ACTOR. :)

One of my friends recently made a huge thing about the word "gypsy" and how we're not allowed to say it any more because it's a slur. Before you ask, she's chronically online she gets her political stance from tiktok because it offered her, as a neurodivergent, an algorithmically approved safe space; she's the sort of person that would fall for a mouse trap.
So, one of my friends was talking, "blah blah gypsy blah" and she goes "you know you can't say that right? It's a slur." Now she's brought this up before, and I did less than 5 minutes of research afterwards which called her out on her bull shit.
So I say "no, it's not over here, it's a really common word that is used very generally to mean traveller" and I went on to explain the stereotype of the horse and caravan thing that we have.
She says "yeah, but they're not egyptian." Because that's what gypsy meant. It was slang for egyptian because that's what we thought the roma were when they were in fact Indian. Now things are a bit different, over here it is used as a commonplace term for traveller.
So this went back and forth, I say "we have people here that call them selves gypsy" and "isn't it really culturally insensitive to call them Romani when they aren't?" And she said "but it's a slur" over and over and over.
But I suddenly remembered that I have an ace up my sleeve, at least two. A couple of my friends are egyptian, in terms of heritage at the very least. One of them is super against PC culture, doesn't hate gay people but will still gladly say the word "faggot" not that it matters much because it's not aimed at gay people or meant to harm; the other is less anti-PC but has an incredibly interesting opinion about it. As someone with egyptian family, he says "yeah, its weird to me that people have a problem with being called egyptian" which is probably one of the most interesting takes I've heard about it ngl. He's really good to talk about historical, semi-political and ethics shit with because even if you disagree with him you still get a good talk out of it.
So tl;dr - it's not a slur to use the word gypsy however it is wrong to use it when talking about genuine romani people.
---------------------------------------------------
Oh, I'm sorry, you thought this was done? No, there's more to this. That was only the first chapter.
Now, I think back to where my friend learnt that "gypsy" was a slur. I remember that she uses tiktok. A lot. An alarming amount, loudly. The thing about gypsy being a slur was a big thing on tiktok, people were constantly arguing back and forth about it as if their view was the one view, as you do on tiktok.
Now, the reason that all took off was because there was an audio being used at the time called Gypsy Bard. If you don't know, Gypsy Bard is a song from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I learned that the hard way. So that basically means that slur discourse was started by this fucker.
Tumblr media
I've realised that a lot of the people arguing that it is a slur were American and a lot of the ones against were British and generally from anywhere that wasn't America. This made me get to thinking. I figured, gypsy is a word that we've been using here to generally mean traveller for years upon years now. We even have slurs based round it like 'pikey' and 'gyppo' meaning that people over here agreed that gypsy was just a word and then decided they needed something to imply that it was bad, language evolves.
In a logical sense, this discourse, if it can really be called that, is a prime example of americanisation, a phenomenon where people will say something involving everyone when it really only applies to America. And even then, americanisation, in this sense, is exaggeration; a lot of people were just saying that gypsy is a slur because they heard someone else say it so they agreed because nobody wants to be a bigot; this would explain why there were british kids saying it too.
For being a very anti-nazi standpoint, leftists, as they seem to have called themselves in this instance, are really taking to the nazi-like practice of "erase all cultures/ideologies that aren't ours."
Perhaps that is an overstatement, but the mirroring is there and that is the most worrying part.
tl;dr - americanisation/neglect for differences in language is bad.
---------------------------------------------------
THAT'S RIGHT! THREE FUCKING CHAPTERS!
Ok, this one is shorter.
So let's go back to when I said "some people call themselves gypsy" or something to that degree because that's important.
Some people call themselves that, and that's a fine thing to do. Like I said, our language here evolved to that word meaning traveller. It is much like another evolution of language, queer. That's right, queer meaning strange and unusual only for it to change at some point to meaning "some form of LGBT. Now, I am against being called a queer myself but I will not stop people calling themselves that, sorta like how me and my friends call eachother faggots because it's funny and okay to do within the context we use.
Now, you might be thinking "but [name], gyspy is used in a bad context by some people" and you're right, it is. But so is gay. And lanky. And hairy. And virgin. Note how only gyspy is the only word there that people register as a slur.
tl;dr (for the last time) - context is important. If nobody is being harmed then maybe it's not quite as bad as people are making it out to be.

Ranking versions of Meant To Be Yours
I’m bored so I’m ranking the JDs based on how they sing Meant To Be Yours. This is only the JDs featured in this video ( https://youtu.be/Ryrt5NWHpFo ) so y’know that’s not all the professional ones and some of the ones featured in it are like university ones. Anyways I did write half of this at 2am so like. A lot of this may just be a mess and me being like “good vibes.” Also, if you ask me some other time maybe this order would have changed. It’s hard to rank 14 different people. Anyways yeah here we go!
1st. Jamie Muscato - Listen. If you didn’t expect this then frankly that’s on you. I will give you the short version for the sake of anyone who reads this (will gladly provide a long version if anyone asks for it). I’m just gonna list the stuff to make this quicker and easier:
“You were MEANT TO BE MINE” with the punch forward
“I am all that you need, you carved open my heart” the way his voice goes slightly softer and he’s walking backward and shaking his head and has his eyes closed and is pulling down his shirt slightly
THE COAT FLIP!!
“Open the, open the door please” He goes a lot quieter then and has that lil smile forming and I LOVE IT
Gonna sound like a tiktok commenter but yeah the pleading and slight whining vibes
The numerous punch downs. There’s like 3 during one section
“I’ve BEEN there” man sounds upset here and I’m :((
THE GUN SPIN!!
The way he walks when saying “Veronica don’t make me come in there” There is a strong chance tho that I don’t love that part cause of how he’s portraying JD, it’s simply because I find Jamie attractive
Man is just so angry and I am here for it (well like. Not really cause y’know what JD is doing is bad, I just mean the angryness is very fitting for the character)
The tone shits tho <33 they are what gets me the most
Anyways I definitely missed stuff but you get the vibe
2nd. Ryan McCartan - If you asked me for my opinion before I put this video on I would say that he's not that great. However, this video seems like it has audio from him actually singing on stage and oh boy do I love it. Man has a really nice voice and I've always liked it so there's that. But dude man has a lot more emotion in this recording?? He sounds like he's about to cry during the "you carved open my heart" line which I absolutely love. And he full on screams "Veronica" and then kinda sounded like he was gonna cry again on the "open the door please" line. I don't like the album version cause he has little emotion in it but nah man is fully going for it here and I love that for him.
3rd. Dan Domenech - Idk what to say about him cause I don't have strong emotions based off just this clip. He has a very nice voice. But idk man it just feels kinda mediocre. I don't love it, I don't hate it. I know I had a lot more thoughts when I watched the full version but I can't be bothered watching it all rn. He doesn't sound angry or upset enough imo. I do like his scream on "Veronica" and "I'm gonna count to three" and how he sounded like he was pleading on the "can we not fight anymore please" line. Also like his lil spin during the "Veronica!" part. Also he doesn’t move too much which like he doesn’t need to but I’d prefer a few more actions.
Joint 4th. Wendell Scherer - Never heard of the man until now but I like his voice. He seems quite frustrated which is a vibe. He's got a good level of nonchalant during some parts. The way he acts when screaming "Veronica, open the, open the door please"? A huge vibe. He's just seems so Done and I love that. I'm pretty sure what I said didn't make much sense there and I just repeated myself. What I'm trying to say is, yknow the part in tl5y in if I didn't believe in you, Jamie says "can we just do that, please? PLEASE?", specifically the Jonathan Bailey version of that song? Yeah those vibes. Anyways I need a full bootleg of this version. Will say that he doesn't have the full chaotic vibes tho. Oh also they “don’t make me come in there” just like. The tad hint of more anger and stuff was good.
Joint 4th. Forest Filiano - First time I watched the video of him singing this song, I loved it, but now I just don’t think it’s anything amazing?? He doesn’t have that good of a voice imo, and most of it is just kinda screaming and not in a good way. That man is going full on chaotic tho so like props to him on that. I like the part where he just aggressively slaps his chest and also like. Throws himself at the door. And the hand through the hair!! Always a big fan of that!! But bestie why put the gun away when you’re gonna kick down the door like there was no need to bring it out then, y’know? But man seems like he’s having a great time so good for him. Also again he’s probably quite young so like I assume he would have a better voice now. Also his singing voice sounds nicer in other songs so like, it’s probably just cause of him going for a more screaming kinda vibe since it fits the song more.
5th. Jordan Luke Gage - He has a good voice and his acting is alright but idk I’m not a big fan tbh?? Man’s hands be going everywhere at the after there. I can’t tell if I love or hate the lil smile he has going on near the start. He seems like he was gonna start giggling. Did kinda sound sad during the “meant to be mine” line but again it did seem like he was on the verge of giggling so. Good yell on the “Veronica!” He be kinda tumbling around the place which is like. Like y’know his movements aren’t all co-ordinated (that’s so not the right word I’m sure but oh well). His voice and lean on the “can we not fight anymore please” part is nice. He sounds kinda stressed and also his voice on “Veronica don’t make me come in there” has the vibes of “I genuinely do not want to have to force myself in but you give me no choice” which is funky in a good way!! The more I watch it, the more it grows on me tbh. Unrelated too but he has good hair.
6th. Mariah Rose Faith - Love her voice, she has such a beautiful voice, definitely is one of the reasons for how I realised I’m bi, but anyways moving on. She’s purely not that high up just cause she can’t really act since it’s just a cover and she’s also doing it on her guitar so she can’t play it or sing it the way she would be able to do if she was actually performing it. But yeah she has just. Such a soft and pretty voice and love it. Also dude he “bleed”? Bestie dragged that out for so long and kept getting higher and it’s just so pretty sounding I’m :(( Also idk how to describe it but the way she sounds during the “Veronica, open the, open the door please” is superior. She just got that lil smile and she sounds so evil and her voice just kinda gains a bit more anger and frustration as it goes. Also, at the begining she kinda sounds upset and heartbroken a bit which is like but it does have the vibes that Veronica is already “dead”
7th. Diego Montez - Always wanted to watch the Brazilian one!! Man is really going for it!! He got the angry vibes down hard. Man got the stomping feet and slapping his chest. I really don’t have much to say. Man is just going for it and I do love it. However, he doesn’t move much, so I’m not a fan of that. He just kinda chills in the same spot. Also what was he doing on the “fuck it!” part?? (I think it was that part) like bestie’s whole body just went down. Anyways yeah it was a vibe. However, it doesn’t really seem like JD to me. Also costume people need to give that man a trenchcoat.
8th. Jacob Fowler - Alright voice, kinda on the softer side, don’t like how he yells “Veronica!” Bestie how are you saying “Can we not fight anymore please?” Like. Sir?? I mean, I don’t think I hate it but just?? Idk it sounded odd. I don’t think he sounds American enough either?? I truly don’t have much to say on him. Don’t hate it, don’t love it. Trying to rank him is so hard too. Like. He is just there. Again, no hate to the man, I do like Jacob, just based on this audio clip I’m not a huge fan.
9th. Jeremy Jordan - Lemme get this clear, mans is my favourite singer and actor ever and if you know me then you know how much I love Jeremy. Also, it pains me so much putting people above him. Anyways, I don't like his JD that much. That's not on him tho, that's on the fact it's a concert and also in a way he is the first musical JD (yeah there's the readings but like I'm not exactly counting them so). But yeah, I like his voice but there's not enough emotion and anger in it. He could 100% do much better now and I could still listen to him sing it all day everyday.
10th. Thomas Sanders - Again I like the man's voice and this is just based on audio but it just sounds mediocre. I genuinely don't have anything to say. Also have a hard time seeing Thomas as JD. Also went and found the tiktok of him singing it (didn’t realise they’d show it later) and it's clear he wasn't very comfortable with singing it in that key(??) (man said so himself even) but he sounds good still!!! Not a huge fan of the acting but I do like some of the angry faces he makes, specifically on the "can't just leave me to bleed" line. He seems like he's going more for the.. I don't wanna say loving side cause clearly the man isn't loving in the song but like.. idk how else to describe it other than loving (it's 2am, I have no braincells okay)
11th. Augusto Castellano - I can’t explain why I don’t like it or why he’s so down below, my gut instinct was just “I don’t like it”. He kinda has the vibes of a spider and a bug with some of those movements. His hands go to his face too often in some weird movements. He seems to be utilising his space tho so that’s good. Once again, he’s got the angry part down fine. Once again, must find the full boot somewhere.
12th. Zachariah Sterner - Pretty sure he's like a teenager so I don't want to judge too harshly. Not a fan of his voice or acting tho, but again pretty sure he's like a teenager (or I'm completely wrong idk) Man is just like the lil standing man emoji tho. He kinda keeps his movements closer to himself which I like. Also the way his voice just kinda went up high during one of the "please"s was fun.
13th. Juanse Diez - I’ve never heard of this man before but anyways! Not a huge fan of his voice. He does look kinda young tho so (do wanna note that I’m aware you can sound good when you’re young, but like, you’re gonna sound better when you’re older cause you’re gonna have more experience and learn more so). He seems to be going more for the softer side in terms of vocals and he doesn’t really sound angry ever. The acting isn’t that good either, mans is mostly just staring at the door. Tbf, this ain’t even done on a stage, it looks like it was from a tiktok so. Anyways no hate to the dude, just don’t like it.
Anyways! No hate to all the JDs! They all do different things well and all have their own interpretation of him, I just enjoy some more than others. If you read this all, I just have to say; why? This was probably a waste of your time tbh. Anyways, have a good day!! I can probably never listen to the ending of this song again after listening to it at least 28 times in a row!!

PINNED POST: Rough CHANLIX Timeline Theory
Hello! This is for an Anon Asks and someone who DM'ed asking my thoughts on when CHANLIX started. Mine is a theory and not fact and it's very rough. It's better to just show you through the videos I've been posting, but that's going to take me maybe MONTHS to wrap up chronologically if I don't get carpal tunnel syndrome first lol. So here goes:
(rough) CHANLIX TIMELINE THEORY
Before Q4 2019: My gay eyes spied and said that Felix always had an unrequited crush on Chan; I honestly thought Chan was straight at one point because of all the "bros" he kept throwing and that he was always around Felix's side because he could explain variety show stuff to him and other Korean culture and language stuff; I soon realized that they have such close proximity a lot of times on-camera compared to the other members and had the odd hand touching now-and-then that I stuck around because once I observed more straight K-Pop boy group behaviors, once I went back to Chanlix, I saw that this unrequited crush might not be so unrequited and this instance of Korean brotherhood skinship blurred the lines of same-sex romantic intentions.
Q4 2019 - Q2 2020: Romantic feelings and intentions emerge in full force especially from Chan; huge increase in physical affection and proximity; possibly waiting out for dating ban to end?; hard to say what type of relationship they have at this point; they have a of screen time together on SKZ Talker; members grow increasingly suspicious.
Q3 2020 - Q4 2020: All members know of Chanlix's intentions; relationship evolved before "All In" era; still have plenty of moments on-camera including on SKZ Talker; Chan reacts and says a lot of things that raised my gay alarm bells; I think they bit the bullet and quietly dated?
Q1 2021: Dating ban ends; they hold hands during K-Contact 4U that was meant to acknowledge Hyunjin's part during his hiatus, but they might have done it for themselves too; huge drop as an on-camera pairing; physically separate on-camera; they try so hard to put up a facade that they aren't dating that they come off looking like they don't even acknowledge or even know each other anymore on-camera; they were definitely an item during Kingdom filming.
Q2 2021: 100% confidence of their relationship status reached; huge drop of SKZ Talker screen time together; Felix doesn't realize he's so nervous now in regards to Chan; they stop doing the official group formation unless it's a red carpet or concert stage where Chan and Felix are no longer side-by-side (official group formation from Left to Right is: Lee Know, Han, I.N., Felix, Bang Chan, Hyunjin, Seungmin, Changbin).
Q3 2021: Orange-haired Chan era had the most obvious signs of body language love; K-Contact Hi5 had damning evidence where for a few seconds, Felix signaled Chan to stop embracing him before they played the next song not realizing they were briefly caught by a fancam angle; another Hi5 moment was released months later where the editor effed up the audio track on purpose but if you alter it again, Chan says "Baby, look--" or "Baby, look look" or "Baby, look at me" which they didn't think the cameras would be rolling and would make it part of the behind-the-scenes; huge drop again in SKZ Talker screen time together; during the time where Felix's famous TikTok exploded, they were promoting "The View" where Felix looked effing terrified to give Chan any eye contact in ANY of the performances; this is also the time where management got really scared that they were trending.
Q4 2021: Even though they're no longer living in the same complex, it stands to reason that they visit each other's bedrooms a lot; Chan and Felix weren't really allowed to be side-by-side anymore on-camera unless Chan interferes; I have enough footage though that shows that they're constantly side-by-side backstage in portions where they don't think they're being filmed; another huge drop of SKZ Talker screen time together; Chan literally makes his New Year's Eve post about Chanlix.
2022 and the future: they weren't roommates, but there's fan videos of Chanlix in the wild sitting or standing before performances or just by themselves during their Middle East stop; Chan showed his bedroom and it's literally empty besides the photo of Chanlix he posted on New Year's Eve even though he's lived there for months now; Chan seems ready to burst and declare his love for Felix, and I'm optimistic that Felix will come to an understanding that love is the core value you should hold onto besides thinking what their love can do to hurt maximizing earnings potential worldwide and Stray Kids' image. The people who scandalize same-sex relationships are not STAYs. I just hope one day they stop fearing something so many couples take for granted like holding hands in public.
Again, it's just my own timeline theory from observations. The one thing I will bet my life on is that they're 100% a real couple. No margins of error there. Thanks for stopping by!
