Y'know I kinda like to hc Glorfindel as the son of Lalwen and a Vanya whom she left behind in Aman. He's greeted by Lalwen when he comes back to Middle-earth. Maybe she's been hanging out with Círdan, visiting distant family, or off fighting orcs and going on grand adventures. Either way, she's not dead. Sure, she's adventurous but she's certainly not foolish like her brothers.
