sure, the three day trial system & guilty until proven innocent mindset of the courts in ace attorney prove japanifornia is a total police state, but i think the most damning thing is the total blue badger takeover. blue badger merch, blue badger at concerts, blue badger theme park, there’s a blue badger family, all of it copaganda. and you know the worst part? i love the blue badger so much. he’s so silly. i am not immune to propaganda even from the ace attorney universe

The Image Tags Masterpost
(As its own post thanks to a suggestion from @oregano-gremlin! gracias)
Every image is tagged with one of these tags, for organisation purposes! ^_^
(Also It’d be a HUGE pain to go back and re-organise them so, while suggestions for new categories/adjustments to existing ones are appreciated, I’m almost definitely not gonna follow through on any of them.)
(Also I am uh. Putting this under a read-more because it’s longer than I thought it was gonna be when it’s all laid out lmao)
#[undefinable] - for images that don’t really fit into a single mood, or have a mood that isn’t accurately represented by one of the other tags
#;_; - for images that are the big sad
#Hell yah - for celebratory, “nice”-type images
#Hell nah - for images that simply embody the concept of “no”, “no thanks”, “not for me”, e.t.c.
#Frick the frack off - slightly violent images used to tell someone to begone or that they are unimpressive
#Y’all are heathens - images that demonstrate disdain, confusion, or general contempt for your group chat
#Ah shit - images that convey “oh fuck”, “oh no”, “oh heck”, “oh shit”, and so on
#Depression time - for images that can be used to either show genuine sadness, or a weary sort of “oh God” that is less emotive and more resigned than an #Ah shit image
#Huzzah - celebratory images
#w h a t - images which convey just. total incredulity and bafflement
#F - for images that pay respects
#ooh-de-lally - images to be used for things that are exciting, spicy, or generally just make your eyebrow quirk up a bit
#Cursed - cursed images
#Wow - images that either convey a sense of genuine wonder, or demonstrate like. “yeah cool story bro”
#I LOVE YOU!!! - images you can use to show affection to any loved ones you are fortunate enough to have
#Welp - for images that aren’t very emotive or very specific, but rather channel that face you make when someone’s talking about something and you have no real idea how to react
#Genuine mirth - images that express, well, genuine mirth
#Contemplation time - I like to think this one is self-explanatory lmao
#Horny on main - not for NSFW stuff so much as stuff where it’s just a guy saying “hehe boobies” or whatever
#:) - happy pickturs
#Fear - fear
#Called out - honestly this one’s a bit inconsistent but it’s either for when you yourself have been called out (“you got me there”) or for when you’re calling someone ELSE out (“cool motive, still murder”)
#Free Real Estate - for images based off of those legendary seconds
#Gratitude amigo - images that say thanks
#Trans rights - because trans rights are human rights
#Disgustan’ - for when you need to express disgust with an image
#Disney - images @ that specific megacorp
#I am so great - images for when you’re proclaiming your own greatness (or at least an amount of self-satisfaction)
#Stole your meme lol - for those images you see everywhere on twitter indicating that someone likes your meme/image and have saved it for their own use
#Genuine reassurace - images that express, well, genuine reassurance
#[Music stops] - there are lot of parodies of the initial “music stops” image, and I have many of them
#Gweetings - images that say hi
#I will cause problems on purpose - images with those vibes
#Ambivalent - because sometimes you need to visually express how little you care
#Bog Moss - this is actually the tag for images that are like “mood” or “same” - I tag them ‘bog moss’ because of an inside joke lmao
#Mockery - bully your friends with this specific collection
#Please exercise empathy - for images that basically say “I don’t know how to expain to you that you should care about other people”
#Nice music - images dedicated to saying that specifically music is good
#Sic ‘em - for images that carry a similar energy to Mayor Tyler from Gravity Falls going ‘git ‘em! git ‘em!’
#Grooving - images that convey the emotion of dancing
#You are not immune to propaganda - I have no idea where that edit of Garfield came from, but there are LOADS of edits, so they all get their own category
#Think of the economy - for images designed to satirise people who prioritise stonks and the economy (which CAN be important, I won’t knock ‘em) over human life
#Silence! - you know that image of the crab lasering something? Yeah, there are a bunch of those, so they get their own category
#Genuine wrath - images that express, well, genuine wrath
#Pretty sus NGL - images designed to help convey suspect or suspicion
#Gotta go fast - images that go quick nyoom

#Ok boomer - Y'all remember ok boomer?
#Chillaxing - for image that surmize a specific chillaxed vibe
#Nice dub - using this one for pics of that one specific guy in all those pictures where he’s congratulating people’s Ws and Dubs

[ID: The "I can excuse racism but I draw the line at animal abuse" "you can excuse racism?!" meme, edited to say:
"I can excuse transmisia, ableism, amisia, and people shipping slaves with their owners, but I draw the line at anyone criticizing these things.
"You can excuse transmisia, ableism, amisia, and shipping slaves with their owners?!"
End ID.]
Tumblr media
[ID: The Garfield "you are not immune to propaganda" meme, edited to say, "You are not immune to being the jackass this post is about". End ID.]
Tumblr media
[ID: The meme of a frowning Pikachu holding up a sign, now edited so that Pikachu looks angry instead of sad. The sign reads, "If you want this fandom to actually be welcoming and safe for the people Murderbot actually represents, you have to call out bigotry when you see it and support the people who are calling out the bigotry that literally impacts them personally." End ID.]
Tumblr media
[ID: The same image, now reading, "If you think amisia, transmisia, and ableism is just "fandom drama", and you get to escape it just by closing tumblr, you are priveleged, and it is literally your duty to call out this shit in fandom spaces so people who are actually impacted by this shit on a daily basis 'in real life' can actually have fun in this fandom that's literally meant for us.". End ID.]
XXX
Tumblr media
[ID: A simple drawing of Murderbot wearing grey armour, holding up a sign, with the aroace and touch-averse flags being it.
The aroace flag has stripes of orange, yellow, white, sky blue, and navy blue.
The touch-averse flag has stripes of orange, red, black, red, and orange.
The sign reads, "The Murderbot Diaries is the only representation many peopl have ever seen of touch-averse and aroace characters actually being treated with respect instead of being treated like problems that need to be fixed. Erasing the fact that Murderbot is aroace and repulsed by all forms of relationships and hates being touched is amisic and ableist as absolute fuck."
End ID.]
You want me to stop calling out the bigotry in this fandom? Then stop forcing me to be the only one calling this shit out. If you aren't aroace, if you aren't repulsed by all forms of fucking relationships, if you aren't touch-averse, if you don't use it/its pronouns, then actually prove you're an ally to the people Murderbot actually represents and start making your own posts calling this shit out.
If the only people in your fandom calling out bigotry are the people who are personally impacted by that bigotry, then your fandom is not a safe or welcoming space.
Murderbot is aroace. It uses it/its pronouns. It is romance and sex repulsed and it is touch-averse.
If you actually want this fandom to be welcoming to people that Murderbot actually represents, then prove it. Actually make this fandom hostile to amisics and ableists. Actually make posts condemning aand ableism and supporting aroace relationship-repulsed and touch-averse people.

I feel like the thing with the “you are not immune to propaganda” meme is that a) ppl feel like you’re insulting them/calling them stupid for falling for propaganda, b) ppl think that bc something is propaganda they have to stay away from it and hate it, and c) some ppl hate the meme bc they’re like actually brainwashed. Well
For one thing the whole point of propaganda is to subconsciously manipulate people. Literally no one is immune to it. Ppl shouldn’t feel bad for falling for it, and others shouldn’t use it as a way to put ppl down and make themselves feel smarter. I feel like that’s part of the reason ppl hate the meme and the Garfield picture specifically, bc it feels like an insult to their intelligence. Especially bc the image literally looks like it’s mocking you. I know not everyone means it as an insult, but they’re are plenty of ppl who do.
Second, just bc something is propaganda doesn’t mean you have to hate it. Like basically everything is propaganda. We have this definition in our head that propaganda is always bad, and a lot of the time it is, but not always. Any piece of media you consume is propaganda is some way or another, even shows like Sesame Street. It’s just propaganda to be nice to ppl lol.
I’m not saying you should fall for propaganda bc some of it is good, I’m just pointing out that everything is propaganda. A lot of propaganda is legitimately bad and it’s our responsibility not to let it influence us. Things like brand Twitters and military propaganda. You need to make sure you realize it’s manipulating you and not let it.
But the thing is, you can still enjoy things that are propaganda. You can still laugh at brand twitters, just acknowledge that it’s an add and manipulating you!! You just probably shouldn’t rt it and spread it around for others to see. And you have to acknowledge that it’s bad in the first place that it’s manipulating others.
I’m not here to defend brand twitters, I think it’s evil that they’re pretending to be our friends to sell us stuff. And I get that plenty of people feel insulted by that too.
Alot of propaganda is legitimately dangerous. Especially the kinds that put down poc, lgbtq+ ppl, and other minorities, and the kind that builds up things like the military, nationalism, and capitalism.
You need to make sure with any kind of media or propaganda, you recognize what the creators are trying to make you think, and decide whether or not to internalize it. If it’s something like Sesame Street that tells you to be kind and accepting, yeah carry that with you and teach it to others! But if it’s something about how great the military is, acknowledged that you’re being manipulated and don’t fall for it.
And if you’ve already fallen for it, like many of us have tbh, you need to unlearn it. It’s still you’re responsibly, even though it’s not your fault for falling victim to it.
Part of the reason capitalistic and military propaganda are so bad is bc they’re glorifying oppressive systems that kill the weak and poor. A lot of the time these kinds of propaganda are straight up lying to you. Hell, most bad propaganda is lying to you. Make sure you reaserch this kind of thing, even if it may seem “correct” in your head bc we’ve all been fed this kind of propaganda for years.
Tbh the way that everyone is starting to wake up and be much more critical of these things is super great!! It’s really important that we let others know they’re being manipulated, and don’t let ourselves be manipulated, I just think that if we keep doing it the way we’re currently doing it we’ll only make it worse. I mean seriously, who are you going to like more? The funny Wendy’s meme guy, or the rando online who insulted you for thinking a joke is funny.
And I get that a lot of the time ppl don’t have the energy to be nice and convincing, and that’s okay! I just think if we had a nicer meme to copy and paste ppl would be less insulted or upset. So this is what I have right now:
“Don’t let propaganda manipulate you”
I’ll edit it on to a cat picture later

Corporate Twitters
You Are Not Immune to Propaganda and all that.
Well I get whiplash all the time of this site from the influx of posts passionate about one thing, and them immediately following them are another wave of posts vehemently against the first argument.
So I guess I'm just gonna make this post to voice my thoughts I'm sure most of you have already reached.
The idea that corporate Twitters are run by interns is probably perpetuated by the corporations and not every corporate Twitter is run by "one of us." Corporations have been using this tactic for a long time.
So now there's been a surge in corporate Twitter bullying I hear, with spam of the Garfield image.
What an absolutely wild time the modern age is.
So good, we're trying not to fall for coproate scams and lies, even though our energy could probably be put to better use somewhere else.
But I have heard that there really are interns manning some accounts and that their jobs are not even harder with the Garfield spam and negative réception to corporate memes.
Which, yeah, it's pretty evil of starving interna to try to use même tactics to sell their brand IF their brand is actively killing the planet and a multi-billion dollar Trans National Corporation that doesn't need the advertising.
Does this make the starving interns "class traitors" for working for an evil TNC and trying to trick their own people into liking their employer's brand?
Maybe so.
However, if they're also doing all they can to survive, do they really have much of a choice between slave away for an evil Corp that doesn't care about them or their audience, or die because they so strongly morally oppose those jobs that they can't work anywhere enough to live?
To absolutely no one's surprise, this exact same thing happens in other countries like, for instance, Russia.
Russian bots have been brainwashing and polarizing people for decades and have been interfering in out country since like Nixon.
In Russia, the oligarchy and Dictator hold a bloody reign and seek world domination while the people starve.
Between "Die" and "Work for the Man," most people would choose to live.
The exact same thing is happening in America.
Should we hate every employee of Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Publix, etc for choosing a minimum wage job with no benefits that barely allows them to scrape by, same as us?
It's basically the same thing with hating cashiers.
The cashiers may hate their company too and are barely being paid enough for their already shitty treatment.
Should we hate the Russian people pawns for running bot accounts and staging a coup in our own country because they have no choice but to "be evil" or starve?
I dunno what to do about all this.
Something must be done about the corporations.
Something must be done about corporate Twitter.
I don't have an answer.
The problem must be taken out at the source.
I'm not sure what to say except maybe just block them all, every brand, every big name. DNI.
Those who can afford to avoid Evil Corp jobs should, same with consuming.
Just as those who can afford to buy cage-free, or free-range, or grass-fed, should do so. We can't really blame poor people for not being able to fight the system that has already blocked them right where it wants them on purpose.
