I am SO obsessed with your lighthouse au? I finished PEL (which, side note is quite possibly the best fic I've read? Your characterizations of everyone are impeccable, the plot was fantastic, your research is so in-depth, made me feel so many feelings) and I was craving more of your writing and lo and behold here we have a grouchy soviet lighthouse keeper! How intriguing! Anyway thank you for giving us the content I didn't know I needed, I'm so very excited to see what these utter idiots do next

Aha thank you so much! I am very fond of PEL and had a lot of fun writing it (there are several requests for missing/extra scenes still sitting in my inbox, which I will get to... some day, eventually, I swear), and the people have been very eager to request more content from that verse in general. It is indeed very fun, and I now have three linked fics in that AO3 series (PEL itself, its Fivan prequel ASFOS, and then the backstory for Ivana the Drag Queen). I do also want to write what everyone is up to as of 2021, since we left them in 2018, but I have about a million different plot bunnies and only so much time.

Meanwhile, I am likewise enjoying the lighthouse AU, which is basically a constant cycle of mutual enablement between me and @buffaluff. They draw me a pretty picture, I have to write another chapter in response, and so it goes. It is indeed Two Idiots One Lighthouse Zero Brain Cells, and I have no doubt that the stupidity will continue to run rampant whenever I get around to writing chapter 4. Which, lbr, will probably be soon. I am predictable. Alas. But the people are enjoying the grumpy Soviet lighthouse keeper and the sassy attempted defector, lmao, so here we are.

Also, if it floats your boat, I am two chapters into an entirely new fic, which is Darklina dark academia/literary/historical fiction, based on The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, which I will start posting when I have more of a good chunk of it. It’s unlike anything I have written before, fic-wise, and I am enjoying experimenting with style and form. That will, I shall note here for the first time (drumroll please) be called The Book of the Raven. Coming soon-ish to a tumblr near you. Hooray.
